I am a widow and bought a Choice Home Warranty. I don’t have specific dates, but CHW has helped me out more than a few times, Dishwasher repair, plumbing clogs. I have two new faucets, Thank you! My most recent is my furnace!!! YIKES!! My home warranty says it is covered… I have been able to age in place thanks to to this warranty. I will keep you posted on my broken furnace… I would recommend CHW to everyone I know!!!

I chose choice someone warranty because they came with good recommendations. I bought a three-year policy on two houses. And have used them one time. I called and told them my garbage disposal was not working. It would took a total of three days and a man was out and replaced my garbage disposal with the brand new disposal no problems efficient not a fly by night repair company that they were established in the area and had a good reputation

Overall, average service, but much, much, much better than American Home Shield (a truly dishonest company). At first, the process was quick and professional, and in the end, we received a credit voucher for our washing machine when it couldn't be repaired. However, once the voucher was offered, they didn't provide the electronic credit for around four weeks. I almost rated them 3 stars since I think withholding the payment for that long is egregious.

I appreciate that CHW schedules technicians on my behalf. My bigger concern is whether or not the technicians are vetted or not. My last two warranty requests were not fulfilled and were cancelled by the technician - either due to a no-show or a lackluster enthusiasm surrounding the work that needed to be performed. I provided feedback regarding both companies and suggest you removed them both from your bank of available companies going forward.

I wasn't thinking straight about your rules when your service rep said he (I thinking you) wanted pay up front so I told him I'd give him half and only when the job was complete like the next day the other half. I should have told him to get it from you but I was only think about heat for my pet. I am only hoping you can see it in your heart to reimburse me if not the other, actually less than half $5004.00, then at least something to make me feel like a saved some money having Choice Policy. I notice Sam seems to be avoiding me since I paid him $200.00 extra dollars for a new humidifier. I sent Elizabeth Mollina a glowing review via email as your standard reporting method became too cumbersome getting involved with Google and passwords, 6 and even 4 didgit verifying codes before it would let my report using your system go to you. After spending over and hour trying to make it work I gave up and called Elizabeth to see if I could use email.

I was not happy with the agent assigned to me and truthfully disappointed with the out come of this claim. Company say repair or replace, ( I agree within reason) however the amount given wasnt even enough to replace item. I wasn't looking for top of the line but maybe an additional $100 to be closer to actually replace item. Would I renew i will have to think about that.

We are having a terrible time getting our double wall ovens fixed. These KitchenAid ovens are practically new. We have been doing without our ovens for about one month, and this time of year we should be baking cookies! We had an appointment scheduled, but then it was cancelled—no call or email or text. Everything seems to be going out at the same time. Our built in microwave also went out. We were offered $180 for it. It will cost $1800 to replace it. Our built in refrigerator apparently could not be repaired also. Again we were offered a minimal amount to replace the refrigerator. I had to pay over $8000 to get a new refrigerator. This whole experience has been devastating. I am considering not renewing my plan. There needs to be an option to replace an appliance with an appliance of at least equal value.

My policy was purchased at the same time as my condo to cover unexpected expenses in the first 3 years. Although I have not needed it, I recently had a failing valve on my washing machine cause a leek through an empty fixing hole in the top of the unit. I was able to call out a brand specific appliance specialist who resolved the issue. I could have done this using the website but the first use felt more comfortable as a phone call and they picked up and got it done. What more can you say?

Appointment was promptly made and initial visit completed. Unfortunately, parts are needed to fix my dryer. They have arrived and work should be completed today. The only question that I have is why a different service is used , meaning my dryer has needed service multiple times and each time I submit a claim a different service is used. And each time a new issue is found. Unsure if consistency in using certain service providers would help there or it’s just who is available the fastest and the age of my dryer. Either way I truly appreciate the prompt turn around time. Thank you.

The dishwasher control panel went out. The whirlpool repair man was courteous and professional. There was a part that needed to be replaced and so we had to wait for parts to be ordered but the company used was very good at keeping me informed of when the next appointment might be available based on part delivery. When the part was available, the installer rescheduled the appointment for service and install the parts and the dishwasher works perfectly. The repair man was very courteous and professional.

Choice is wonderful. I've had to have the plumber twice in the last week, for 2 different problems - a toilet that wouldn't stop flowing, and a blocked sink. For the latter they sent a very nice young man called Omar from a different company. He had quite a struggle withe the old piping and draining system from 1950, but he persisted, did an excellent job, and cleaned up afterwards.

We had to pay upfront but we’re assured that we would be reimbursed for the entire amount within 30 days. Shortly before my Choice Warranty was going to expire. I was contacted by an agent of Choice Warranty. My 5yrs warranty I recently had was expiring. Two day before it expired my Gas Water Heater I had for 5 years was leaking. I called Choice Warranty to put in a claim. The very next day, Choice Warranty had sent a Plummer to inspect my water heater, only to find out the water heater was completely gone. The Plummer requested to have the Gas Water Heater replaced. Within 24hours Choice Warranty approved my claim and a new water heater was installed. I had a payment to make but to cover the new water heater but Choice Warranty covered most of the cost. I’m glad I still had a couple of days left to fix my water heater. I was going to cancel my coverage once it expired because of financial problem. The agent was able to work out a 3 years warranty plan with 4 payments for 4 month. Giving me 3 years of coverages for my house. Thank you Choice Warranty for your speedy action when a situation occurs. Choice Warranty had excellent Customer Service, Very knowledgeable agents and friendly staffs. I’ve had policy over a year and didn’t need it, had actually forgotten about it. Proud I had it, seems like everything hit at once. AC stopped cooling last month of warmer weather, they came quickly and added Freon and checked other stuff. Within 2 weeks oven quit working of course right before holidays! Then same week it got real cold for Texas and of course heat wouldn’t work in central unit or gas heater on wall. It wasn’t covered due to power surge, wasn’t happy about that but still they fixed it cheaper than any other estimates. And told us about extra grounding precautions. Choice Home Warranty is great, Thank God for good people like them! In the end I’m very happy with results and service. I’m hoping this is the cycle of three and we’re done with this!!

Our washing machine is leaking water from the bottom and the garage floor was flooding. We have all of our appliances covered by Choice Home Warranty, so we called to have it repaired. The technician they sent to check it out determined that the pump seal was leaking and needed replacement. He was informed that due to the age of the washing machine the seal was no longer available. The technician called Choice Home Warranty and explained why the washer could not be repaired. Choice then sent us a email saying that they are are sending us a electronic Lowe's credit for $406.00 towards the purchase of a replacement washer. We are now waiting for the $406.00 electronic credit. I am very pleased with action Choice took to correct our washer problem.

I purchased this warranty to have peace of mind, what I got was when something went wrong was not peace of mind. It took a week without a refrigerator before a tech even looked at it. My biggest complaint is the so called replacement. You didn't replace, I replaced. I had to go buy a new one, dispose of old. I bought a smaller fridge with less features which was $1600.00 and you reimbursed $818.00. You suggested Lowes which is 100 miles away, who doesn't deliver to me. Even if I used them, their cheapest fridge in the style I had would have been the same price of $1600, It also took 6 weeks to receive reimbursement. Now, with this said, is this what you would call peace of mind?

I placed a claim on my furnace on Nov. 11th. They sent someone from Fusion to inspect my furnace. They reported that there was an electrical surge that shorted out my thermostat and that I needed to replace it myself. I had my furnace looked at by someone that checks my furnace every year and he found nothing wrong with the thermostat. The thermostat would read only 66 degrees with the filter in and the furnace would not start. He pulled the filter out and and the furnace started running and the thermostat went up to 71 degrees. I had to run my furnace without a filter to get heat. I called Choice Home Warranty and told them what we found. They wanted me to send them what my technician found. I had a HVAC technician from Four Seasons inspect my furnace and he found a cracked heat exchanger my furnace. According to Illinois state law, when a HVAC finds a crack in the heat exchanger, they have to shut off the furnace to make sure carbon monoxide isn’t leaking from the furnace. The furnace had to be fixed or replaced before it could be run again. I had a second furnace with the same cracked heat exchanger so the technician from Four Seasons had to shut that furnace off too. This was at about 9:00 a.m. the morning of Dec. 16th. Since I couldn’t run either furnace with cracked heat exchangers and both furnaces were over 25 years old, I decided to replace both furnaces. Installers from Four Seasons came out about 1:30 p.m. the same day, Dec. 16th, to install two furnaces. On Dec. 17th I sent Choice Home Warranty a copy of the diagnosis that Four Seasons gave me and pictures of the cracks in the heat exchanger of the furnace that was covered by Choice Home Warranty. I heard from Choice Warranty on Dec 18th and was told that I should have sent them the diagnosis first and then had them send out someone to inspect the furnace. They said that since I didn’t do that, they couldn’t pay me any thing toward the purchase of my furnace covered by them. I live in Chicago where the temperature was very cold and my furnaces had been shut off since 9:00 a.m. on Dec. 16th. Therefore I felt it was an emergency and that I couldn’t wait until Choice sent someone out to recheck my furnace. I had to get furnaces running to get heat in both apartments in my two-flat building. I paid over $8,000 for each furnace. I didn’t expect them to pay the total $8,000 for the furnace covered by them but I expected them to pay something. Very disappointed since this was an emergency situation.

Choice Home Warrantee has no apparent control over their contractors. They sent me a Plumber to replace my Water Heater and he disconnected the Humidifier and failed to reconnect it to the New Water Heater. I had to wait for Four Seasons to tell me that my Humidifier was not connected. Who does that ?? Is this plumber so incompetent that he forgot to re attach my Humidifier. And now I can get him to come back and finish the job that he was paid for. Good Services Plumbing and Excavation ought to change their name. And Choice Home Warrantee ought to see to it that their contractors finish the job. 9 times he's promised to return and complete the job and he hasn't made it here yet. And maybe the worst part is that Choice Home Warrantee is after me to renew my contract saying we'll give you 2 months free. How about just getting your contractor to finish this simple job ??

Timeline---Friday, 31 October 2025 - My refrigerator stopped functioning. I went online and contacted my Choice Home Warranty (CHW). CHW notified me that a Whirlpool technician will be arriving on Wed 05 Nov to check on it. Wed 05 Nov Whirlpool technician examined refrigerator and stated that he needed to order parts which will be here on Fri 14 Nov. So far everything understandable. Fri 14 Nov Whirlpool technician puts in new parts but now says that due to leaks the refrigerator is unrepairable and he will send his report in to CHW. I am told to check with CHW on Mon 17 Nov. Now 18 days without refrigerator and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Mon 17 Nov called CHW. Told no report yet to check back with them on Fri 21 Nov. Getting less understandable all the time. Fri 21 Nov Called CHW. Told they are still waiting for report from Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool and they tell me that they don't send out reports and that CHW has to call them for the report. They gave me a telephone number to give to CHW. Too late today to call CHW back. Sat 22 Nov Called CHW and claims person said she couldn't do anything that they have to wait for the report. Requested to speak to a manager and was connected to Dave Lane. He attempted to call Whirlpool but they were closed for the weekend. Told me to call CHW back on Mon 24 Nov. Mon 24 Nov Called CHW . Told Dave wasn't available but lady was very kind but said they couldn't finalize the claim without the report from Whirlpool. At this point whenever I hear the word "Whirlpool" it is a "Run Forrest, Run!" reaction. She told me that I will get an email with the results. Received an email at 3:00 p.m. stating that it will take 72 hours to resolve the claim. That means Thursday, 27 Nov which is Thanksgiving and I doubt anyone will be working. Wed 26 Nov (I am such an optimist) Called CHW and was told that they have received the report from Whirlpool (Forrest?) and that it now has to go through the portal (whatever that is) and that I could call back later today for more information. Only 27 days without a refrigerator! 3:00 p.m. called CHW and was told they are processing the claim and should have results by Fri 28 Nov. Thurs 27 Nov - THANKSGIVING DAY - Interesting hosting our guests without a refrigerator. Got through it OK though I'm sure it will be talked about for quite sometime! Fri 28 Nov 12:40 p.m. Called CHW and was told they are still waiting for report from Whirlpool!! Explained that they had told me onWed 26 Nov that they had received the report and were sending it through the portal (whatever that is). Asked to speak to manager. Spoke to Matthew aid that this should be resolved today and to call back later today. 3:30 p.m. received an email from CHW saying that replacement refrigerator has been approved and that we would be receiving a gift card for Lowes in the amount of $818.00 and it would be mailed sometime within the next 30 days! This could be after Christmas before a new refrigerator gets here. Called CHW to see if card could be sent as soon as possible so we could take advantage of Black Fridays sales and save a lot of money. Told that they have to wait until they "have a batch" to send. Asked to speak to Manager. Spoke to Ariel. After repeating several times that it was procedure and they have to wait she finally asked me to hold while she checked on it. She came back and said she had approval to send us a check so we can go ahead and buy a new refrigerator. All along during this CHW has told us several times NOT to go ahead and buy a new one until they had completed processing. Sat 29 Nov Went out and purchased a new refrigerator to be delivered. Thurs 04 Dec New refrigerator delivered. Haven't seen anything from CHW yet. Conclusions - We chose CHW because they have one of the highest ratings and reputations in the business. This has been our first real dealing with them. Everyone we dealt with at CHW was courteous and polite and seemed to be doing everything they could to assist us. I think a lot of our problems and delays were caused by the tardiness in Whirlpool's (Run, Forrest Run!) delivering their findings to CHW, however CHW could have been more direct in dealing with Whirlpool. While this situation has been less than totally satisfactory, I'm inclined to give CHW the benefit of the doubt and will remain with them for now and see what the future brings.

I did my research on home warranty companies and decided that CHW had the best reviews and a reasonable price for coverage. On my first and only claim so far my GE dishwasher that came with my new home was leaking all over my kitchen floor. So I put in a new claim. The technician that evaluated my leaking dishwasher determined that the (2 are old) dishwasher had to be replaced. Choice then agreed to send me a $272.00 Lowes e-card to replace my dishwasher. When I contacted Lowes to see what there in stock dishwashers cost I found that the cheapest dishwasher was a Frigidaire that cost $299.00. The GE dishwasher that matched my leaking dishwasher was priced at $329.00. So...the $272.00 offered by CHW was not enough money to purchase any dishwasher offered at Lowes. I was told that $272.00 e-card was for "replacement " but the money CHW offered is not enough to buy even the cheapest dishwasher at Lowes. I am very disappointed with CHW's coverage of my claim. CHW told me that their $272.00 e-card was based on "wholesale" costs and not on "retail" costs. This is very disappointing for me the consumer and for me the customer. I now have to pay retail price to purchase the "replacement " GE dishwasher that has a retail price of $329.00. This is not the response that I expected from a # 1 home warranty company!!!

In the past I have had issues with Choice Home Warranty they had problems getting a company to accept the claim and come out and fix an appliance, but it seems they are getting much better, they now ask for the information about the appliance, serial # make and model when you make the claim...then send out a repair service for that specific maker, like Whirlpool. Their service seems much faster than in the past.

My fridge recently experienced a water/ ice dispenser malfunction. I contacted Choice - 3 days later, a certified Technician arrived. Diagnosed the problem, ordered parts and 5 days later, my fridge was working perfectly with OEM replacement parts. Total cost was just one Choice service call visit

Choice Warranty offered a service plan that was much better in comparison to other companies. They respond immediately to a claim, and set up service in a timely fashion. You can follow up with them at any point in the claim process for updates.

Being a relatively new member I was worried when my washing machine developed a banging noise. But I called, I paid my $75 and a time was scheduled with a local repair company. There was a little confusion between CHW and the local repair shop, but it all turned out just great! I am so pleased. It was all very professional and well done!

Very easy to deal with. They sent someone out and had to pay a small service fee, but it was all worth it. The problem ended up being the water softener tank and that company took care of it for me after the plumber diagnose the issue.

I had no contact except from the repair person. Took over 2 weeks to get part, the only way I knew what was going on was from the repair rep. Nothing from Choice! Still waiting on another part. No contact again. Dish Washer is still not working going on 4 weeks! The repair person did a great job and was able to install the part quickly. The main problem from Choice was no information given to me. I worked with them because I am under contract with them. This is first time I have had an issue. They were prompt and efficient on two other repairs! They kept me informed etc. This time nada!

I’m very happy with Home Choice. Every time I filed a claim, they respond right away, and within 24hrs, a service technician was at my house. Formula Air did a good job fixing my heating unit which is over 20 years old, but it’s still working. I was having anxiety about my heat not working just when we was starting to have cold weather
