The repair man to my home to look at my washer. He was here for approximately 10 minutes. He diagnosed the problem, but he has not returned to install the parts that he ordered. I found that I could order the parts on Amazon and have them in two days. It has been almost 2 weeks. since he was here. No phone call no nothing. But he made sure that he got his $85 which he repeatedly told me I had to pay at the first visit.

Pretty simple solutions seem like a huge job, such as finding out why my washer overflows! Probably just needs to be rotored! But I am hanging with them because they are trying. My refrigerator went out. They said its more cost efficient to replace it. Then i was told im only getting $567 to buy a refrigerator and its a lowes card so i cant shop were i want to. Then they said it will be 30 days until i even get the gift card. Its the holidays and i dont have a working refrigerator. Great.

I thought they were a good company. But I am finding out that every time I call in a repair, it is never covered. My last call, I paid my copay and they declined the repair and never gave me the option to get it fixed. I had to call another company, and paid $125. If my copay would have been counted, I would only have paid an additional $60. I still for the life for me can’t understand why it wasn’t covered. The pump on my A/C wasn’t covered either along with a couple other repairs I have had to pay out of pocket. I suggest you keep your money and put it in savings, instead of using CHOICE!!!

I didn’t choose Choice. It was included in my closing. Regional guy (Dave in St Louis) was extremely helpful. Home office assistance was from people that could only speak broken English. They hooked me up with a guy named Ken to see what the problem was with my water softener. He did come out and determined it was shot and needed replacing. I paid him the mandatory $75 service fee. Company arranged for him to come back and replace the filter. He never showed up. D I texted him and he responded he got tied up and would call me. Next day came and went, no call. So I called and texted him and he ignored my attempts to reach out. The company did say that they would send me $500 and I could make my own arrangements, which I did. Still waiting on the check. We’ll see if I get it.

Prompt to accept claims and receive initial fee. Relatively quick to setup appointments. On the first claim, the assigned company changed suddenly. The technician was great even when the wrong appliance was ordered. On the second claim, the technician seemed a bit lost at what to do and didn't troubleshoot the whole problem. CHW offered a RIDICULOUS amount to replace part of the appliance with one specific vendor that doesn't carry it at all. Moreover, I don't even know who to redeem their ridiculous credit with that vendor. Unable to communicate to decision-making personnel. Customer service limited to few options and hardly helpful. Regret buying a 3-year plan!

Never buy Choice Home Warranty and Never use All City Appliance, Or Larry Nichols. It is a nightmare that doesn't end. I reported 2 claims Oct the 16th, One being simple that it only requires an ignitor for my counter top gas stove. They said they were sending a check for 433.00 to replace my stove. Still 34 days latter havent seen a dime. The second claim is for my washing machine. Same technician for both claims. Choice authorized The technician to repair my machine. 34 days latter we still have not spoke a word to this technician except through text. Only hearinf from him week before last saying, he has our parts. However he was going to Kansas, I contacted Choice home warranty about my claim. The tried twice to call him and also, text him. Tech said he would be here Tuesday November the 4th. No show, no call, no tech. I text him on Friday Nov 7th, asking if he was coming? He said I am on the schedule for Thursday Nov the13th between 11Am and 3Pm. He didn't even have the decency to call, text or send up a smoke signal. I left him a MESSAGE THAT i AM REPORTING HIM TO BETTER BUSINESS. Monday morning Nov 17th I spoke again with Choice Home warranty asking they send another technician. I told them that I need my machine fixed. They told me all they could do is reach out to the technician and would contact me within 24 hours. Here we go again.

As a VIP Service customer, you guys hire, Anytime Home Warranty, a sub par company that took a shortcut and didn't completely remove the old and replace with a new garbage disposal. They attached a new MOEN garbage disposal onto a ten year-old Insinkerator Sink Flange. I paid $75 for the service fee. Now your Case Manager DAN L. said it is working fine and if you want the sink flange put in another $250 will be charged. Anytime Home Service drove off with the MOEN sink flange and they are calling me a nut case that everything is working just fine. BUT, I CAN SEE THE INSINKERATOR sink flange STARING ME IN THE FACE. Is CHOICE my advocate? It seems that Anytime has convinced you that the sub par work is just dandy!

Every claim has been a total hassle and restrictions and strange inclusions and exclusions. Also, unrealistic replacement costs when a repair could not be made. It is by far the worst home warranty experience I have ever had. We ended up having three major claims performed by others due to the difficulty in dealing with Choice Home Warranty. The coverage is less than worthless. Four visits to tell us our share of the air conditioning repair, got an estimate from a dealer and we were able to get the repair done for half the price you wanted from us. You were not able to do anything but confirm that we had a leak, no detection, no repair, no referral only a lengthy confusing call about all that you do not cover. Was not able to repair a cooktop, so we called out appliance repairman and he repaired it. Overall totally worthless.

Horrible Customer Service. I just checked my credit card statement on saw charges for a renewal which I cancelled months ago. I accepted a settlement for a claim where i was to received a $406 gift card to Lowes and after three weeks had to call to find out the status and was told that a link would be sent out to me the next day. I have 3 claims denied because of exclusions that were never offered when I ordered the policy. The Claim Agents are extremely aggressive and read from a script offering standard answers per company policy. The salespeople will say ant thing do get you to commit to the policy, but when I filed claims, they seemed to invent exclusions that are hidden in theyre fine print policues.

Deal sounded good and turned out not to be true. What's the point of a home warranty if you still have to come out your pocket. I had to pay over $1,000 to replace a hot water heater, their vendor's cost was $2,200+, SMH. My vendor's cost was $1,800 but they would only cover $500.

They are terrible.! They deny claims for no reason. I had a refrigerator go out and they took over 2 months just to get someone out to look at it. They are a terrible company to work with. Items are covered but they charge you to replace them and say it is because they have to update the system to replace the compressor. They said they had to change the wiring to the compressor. I watched the repairman change one for the other and there was no change of wiring.

We paid a deductible to the plumber to come out and fix NOTHING because in order for him to access the components they would have had to remove tile. They told me this is not covered under warranty and that none of the items he needed to do to fix the tub were covered under warranty. So all we did was pay the deductible, turn off the circuit breaker and we have a permanently broken tub now. Warranty is WORTHLESS!

My contract with Choice Home Warranty covered plumbing, however, when I submitted my claim for the bathroom and kitchen water faucets which were both twenty-one years old and falling apart and not functioning I was told that my claim was refused because the photos submitted with the claim indicated the. faucets appeared to be "broken" and not damaged by normal wear and tear. I paid my premiums as a greed, however, CHW did not pay the claim as they agreed to do.

They have a hard time finding reputable contractors to work for them. It took from 12/24 to 10/25 before they could send a person who knew what they were doing to repair my HVAC. He was knowledgeable and professional unlike the first person they sent. Then choice ask me to pay $780.00 to the repairman for additional parts to replace the compressor. We decided to get our own repairman and let them pay what the compressor cost back to us when we had a new unit installed. I would not recommend Choice home warranty.

CHW provided a 8.5 year old coil replacement - older than the failed coil that they took out. I cannot get a proper warranty on the "new" coil because it is so old. They also undersized the unit. They will not fix their mistake because the replacement is not currently broken. After multiple inquiries, I am getting pushed around and not given straight answers. Why bother with CHW when they are only causing bigger problems for me in the long run?!

I have been waiting a month to get the seal on the freezer door of my refrigerator fixed. Because the seal is worn out ice keeps freezing up on the inside of the freezer door and it has started freezing on the inside of the other wall and completely freezing inside on my food. We purchased a home warranty to fix things that break down. However, you find ways around it. Such as my water heater when it went out because the tank started leaking. Well we don't cover the tank was the reply. Then our ice maker started acting up and the reply was "The company shoould cover it because there are recalls on it. However, the company didn't cover it because it was bought as a dented appliance. Therefore, they won't cover it, and neither will you. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another year from you.

My A/C did not work most of the summer and in Oklahoma. 3 service calls -; First two didn't know what they were doing. Finally, the third people diagnosed the issue but it still took another week to get the past and fixed. My A/C is an old R22 system that Choice should replace. Instead, I have a gerry rigged fan attached with wire ties to the frame. Than, I had them inspect my heater for fall, $90. They found a compositor that was going bad but I'm told the system has to stop working for a valid claim 😡 Why pay for inspection if choice is not going to fix diagnosed issues. Finally, the have it will 3 technicians and 10wks to sorts sorta finally fix my A/C and I know better - it should not be an issue for customers to choose their service company. That is our right by law. Don't fight customers. Oh, I forgot - more local vendors closer to my area would be really helpful. These vendors are coming almost 100m to service when there are plenty in Stillwater.

1. We've been waiting for a week to get an electrician to examine our electrical issues and still haven't been given the option to find our own and be reimbursed. This is as bad as American Home Shield. 2. I had to talk to a foreigner who was useless in helping me instead of a knowledgeable caring American who understands the work ethic and demands of our fast-paced, results-oriented culture. 3. I had to complain to get reimbursement for our boiler which heats our home because it's winter and we'd still be waiting for a technician all week if I hadn't while sitting in the cold with space heaters. You're too slow and this isn't the service I was sold on.

We ended up buying the water heater and had it installed ourself and they did they us a check for 350.00 dollars on a 500.00 water heater plus installation so it ended up being more costly than if we did it ourselves. Bad experience! Stay away from Choice Hone Warranty. They send out the worst contractors who take your service and then try to cheat you into equipment you don’t need, misdiagnosis your problem or never show back up to fix the issue. This company let me go 42 days without heat in the coldest part of winter- while negotiating w a tech who was trying to charge me $5600 out of pocket to fix furnace. I got my own tech to come out and all I needed was a new thermostat $200 fix! Every claim was a hassle, they never fixed a leak I had on an outdoor pipe on my pool equipment, they sent a plumber not a pool tech. The worst experiences continually! Don’t waste your time nor money!

I place a service call on my water heater and mine you my property is in Albany, GA. The rep inform me it’s going to take time to find a technician for the area. When they finally found one, I met him at the property. He did his diagnosis and reported to them I need a new water heater. They waited over a week to email to say that are reassigning it. I called to ask why? They said, they need to get a second opinion but on the original phone call they had to find a technician to the property which they were having a hard to fined. Instead of them believing the technician they sent, they whether for me to keep waiting until I decided to get my technician diagnosed the same problem. I was told I have to fill out an re-imbursement form and my technician has to fill out a diagnosis form and they will have to approve it before he can start the work. They are aware I need this completed asap before the tenant moves in to the property. Choice home warranty is not in their client corner but make sure the fee is taken out of my account each month. I’m very disappointed in this Warranty Company.

I placed an order to have my microwave serviced on 5Aug2025. I was told the part would be ordered the same day 5Aug and they would return the following week to install it. That never happened I reached out to Georgia Appliance Pros and was told they would order the part it was the 28Aug and it could possibly be delayed because of Labor Day. Well today is 12Sep still no call to service my microwave which was supposedly ordered 5Aug. When I tried reaching Georgia Appliance Pros is refer you to another number which is not in service. I reached out to Choice and was talked to like I was bothering them. They were very rude, one representative told me she would reach out to Georgia Appliance which she did but they only send emails. Choice should know who they have working with them because they have lost a customer. Oh and I forgot t mention they take 46.00 from my account every month and I have to feel like I'm bothering them because I check to see what's going on with my service that I've paid for.

The support described in the warranty policy is not supported through action. Oftentimes, when we created a claim, the technician would find that the defective parts weren’t covered or the that item wasn’t broken thereby denying my claim. I paid extra for the roof coverage. When I attempted to make a claim, the technician claimed that there was no leak. There was a water stain on the ceiling and I have video of the sound of the leak during a rain storm. Coincidentally, the same technician made an offer to do an independent inspection and make any repairs that he found - outside of the Choice relationship. This misdiagnosis and subsequent independent offer happened repeatedly. We’re better off paying for repairs out of pocket. The warranty was a waste of money.

I could not figure out how to do half a star or that would be my rating. I just canceled my plan with them and it took 3 calls arguing with them to accomplish that task. Prior to that I requested a service call and they never assigned me a tech I called them once and said asked about it and they said they were working on it. This was my fridge btw so we were basically living out of ice chests and getting ice for them daily. After about a week I called again and they said they were still working on it but they would authorize me to get my own tech. I did and he came out and thought he fixed it but did not so I have lost most everything in my freezer twice now. My tech came out 2 more times and still could not id the problem. When getting your own tech you have to pay everything out of pocket to your tech and then they decide what they will cover and reimburse you, allegedly… So I am over 300$ deep to the tech now fridge not fixed that is not counting all the money I lost on food. And no I am not on food stamps or any other state or tribally funded assistance. So now is when I call and ask to cancel my plan and as I mentioned before it took 3 calls and arguing to get then done. So it is safe to say I am extremely disappointed in this company and would strongly recommend anyone I talk to not to use them. I have not been reimbursed yet and they told me over a week ago the check was in the mail. How they electronically deposited my cancellation credit and I did have that in my account this morning.

I had 2 claims so far . 1st one was probably 2 plus months ago . Still not resolved.. second one was a furnace claim. Had to call over and over again . 3 weeks later . They sent a tech .. he was great . They suck

The amount paid when they couldn't fix my dishwasher was far less than ANY dishwasher that Lowes sells. It was approx. 1/2 the amount needed to replace my model, and that was when it was on sale! A ripoff!

They make excuses. not to cover items: IE: they said I did not do maintenance on my minisplit, I never had these problems with American Home Shield! AHS covered what needed to be fixed, period!
