Sunnova gave me the chance to purchase my solar system at a great interest rate. Never thought I would have ever been able to do this without Sunnova.

Update to my 9/26/2019 Review. After my 9/26 posted review, that very same day, I did get a call from a Sunnova, from Oscar- their Issue Resolution Specialist. Oscar was a pleasure to speak with and obviously did his job in escalating and resolving the issue, as I got a technician appointment on 10/14/19 and the system was fixed that same day. The issue remains- why an “issue resolution specialist” can get such quick action but their customer service representatives cannot?? The thing that bothers me is the fact that my panels had not been producing since 6/2019, but Sunnova still got their monthly lease payment from June 2019 to October 2019. On 9/26/19 Oscar mentioned that they would “suspend” my lease payment, which basically means that they will put it on hold until the system is fixed-then they will back bill you- suspending payment is not compensation. Any responsible company would do the right thing and compensate their customers. Unfortunately, we’ve already been wronged two separate times (2017 and 2019) with having to pay large monthly PG&E bills and monthly solar payments, simultaneously. I am not confident that this is the last time I’ll have a problem with my solar panels. I will post any future issues that occur so that consumers are aware and hopefully do not sign any lease contracts with Sunnova.

Terrible company. We have not once produced our 'guaranteed' solar production since 2015 when they were installed. We spend most of our days on hold with this company getting the run around or them opening a 'case' to see what is going on. The next time we call the representative tells us something completely different then the last representative. I know they will probably reply to my review with a scripted apology and not do anything to correct our issue. I wish we never signed up with this company. It makes me so sick to be paying $200 a month an electric bill and $86 to sunnova. We are just throwing our money away when it should be spent on our kids.

Horrific customer service. My panels have not been working for months now, I have called and emailed several times they don’t even respond but still charging me every month like clockwork. So now the last few months I’ve been paying double what I used to pay before I even had the panels. So disappointed and would love to rip them off my roof and go elsewhere. How can you respond to all these reviews saying you strive to be attentive and please send you a private message when it is clear you don’t respond to them! Do not expect a payment from me next month if this isn’t fixed because I refuse to continue to pay for something that is not working

Update to my 10/22/2019 Review. Again, this is happening. Not even 6 months later. Nothing but problems from day 1. Read my review from 9/26/2019. This is so frustrating, our panels are again not sending production, so again, we are on PG&E’s grid. I have called PG&E and they have confirmed that indeed they are not receiving production from our house for the last 2 weeks. Two weeks might not sound like a long time, but again, read my 9/26/2019 review, a couple weeks turns into months and that turns into owing PG&E thousands of dollars, which no one would want to pay. The only good thing when this happened last time is, Oscar, Sunnova’s Issue Resolution Specialist, see my 10/22/2019 review, he helped tremendously, but unfortunately, I cannot get ahold of him directly. I need a technician appointment, my envoy is completely dead, no lights, nothing, we have tried to reboot the system, turn breakers on and off, and nothing works. The envoy needs to be replaced and thank God I have a brand new one from the last time this happened. (last time the tech said the issue wasn’t the envoy but a burnt/bad outlet, which he replaced) So I still have the new envoy, I just need it installed by a technician. Oscar, if you are out there, PLEASE HELP!!! ========================= Update to my 9/26/2019 Review. Worst company ever! Do your research and read the reviews. They are real! So far over the past 5 years we have paid an electricity bill for every month except for the last 4 months??? The salesman lie, they take your money when they are not authorized too even when they send you and email stating they will not then say they will refund it and do not. This company is a big scam. They lie, cheat and steel people’s money. I can’t believe a company that operates in this manner is even still in business. I want this scam off my roof and out of my life! But they say no I’m sorry ma’am you signed a 25 year contract. I want to speak to the president, CEO whomever can make real decisions. Not a supervisor who is reading off of a sheet and programmed on how to respond to a statement or question with zero emotion. I’m gathering all my documentation and my file is getting thicker and thicker. Anyone else out there on board? This company deserves a class action lawsuit... This needs to stop!

The girl that helped me was wonderful. Very patient and explained things thoroughly. The frustrating part was I had to wait 36 minutes for my call to be answered initially. That’s way too long for a company to answer the phone especially when you have a quick “yes” or “no” question.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is terrible. Our panels have not been working since April, which means we are losing money at the peak time of the year. Someone was supposed to come out last Month on a Thursday, but did not show. We were told someone would be out the next day, again nobody came. My husband had taken both days out of work to wait for technician to get this matter cleared up. Again, I called and was promised that we would be the first client today - between 8 am - 12. Again nobody came and no phone call. I have been on hold to speak with someone for 15 minutes so far. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I would avoid this company. I recently bought a house that already had their solar panels and I took over the seller’s lease. The whole process has been a nightmare and the customer service was awful. I was already committed to the move otherwise I would’ve passed on doing business with this company. I have serious concerns about their competency and if something does go wrong with the system, I have very little faith in their ability to fix or handle it properly. If I need to, I will take them to court. I wish I had read their reviews prior. Learn from me. Don’t make the same mistake I have.

We are coming up on 3 years with this system. I would NOT recommend this company! We had multiple problems during the set up and installation was extremely slow. We were promised HUGE savings on our electric bill. This HAS NOT HAPPENED! We have under produced every year so far. When I called customer service about the production guarantee, was told we have to wait for 3 full years. This system does not produce any where near enough to carry us thru the winter months, November thru May, so additionally I pay an electric bill and an oil bill. This is NOT saving me any money...it is costing me more then before solar. Buyer beware! Do your research! We've been scammed.

Our system has been down for almost a month and it seems like they could care less to get someone out to fix it. We used to be be so happy with Sunnova until now and we are really disappointed. We are constantly told “ well we guarantee you a certain amount of production every year and you won’t get a credit with your system down until you pass that amount”. Well now my national grid meter is rolling like crazy and I’m going to be stuck with a bill from both power companies. Also for a company that is all about clean energy wouldn’t you want a system to produce as much clean energy as possible and not be offline for an extended period of time regardless of how much production you promised?

My system was installed in August but did not go on line until December four years ago. My home is less than 700 sqf but the system was too small. My electric bills were higher than ever and when I called to complain they said they could install additional panels but it would be considered a second system and I would have to pay another monthly leasing fee. On top of high electric bills the leasing fee increases every year! I am paying $300 to the electric company and a leasing fee on top of that!! My advice would be to buy your solar system outright (it will pay for itself) or lease from a company that has a pay off option and/or a shorter term lease!

1. Got connected May 1, 2019. So far, underwhelming production rates even in the high summer season - we are not even making the promised yearly average. "Winter is coming " and we will produce much less and consume more, which is looking really bad and expensive. The "guaranteed" rates are quite low, 15% below what was calculated by contract. It's like the casino always wins - all the deficits will be on the customer's expense. I wonder if anyone ever gets 15% more than it was promised?? 2. Sunnova has problems with website that does not show correct production for the whole month (June). I've been told that the problem involves "select" accounts, obviously, our account is one of them. No information on their website that something is wrong and they are working on it. So, the production is mediocre and now we don't even know exactly how much was produced. SolarEdge does not show any data for the last several days either because it is based on Sunnova data. The company says - "we are working on it, will fix the problem within 2 weeks!!". They don't plan to provide any compensation for any inconvenience it is causing to the affected accounts. 3. The contract is actually worse than timeshare - you have to sign up for a deal for 25 years without knowing much about it and without any possibility to modify or get out of it. They pressure you to sign everything immediately, which does not give a lot of time to read through and understand this "guaranteed" production that is also decreasing each year. So, the production need was underestimated- minus 15% of uncompensated margin, minus 0.5% decreased production each year. In year 1 - 15%, in year 10 - 20% and year 25 - 25% of underproduction from the initial estimated contract amount will not be compensated, with the same monthly payments. It is OK if it works but in case of any problems, poor performance and quality of service - the customer is screwed!! This is exactly the timeshare sales methods and should be investigated as such by consumer protection agencies.

this has been a nightmare!!!! We were promised huge savings, and an easy answer for resolution in the event we were to sell our home. We were told that we could have the buyers assume the lease, move the system to our new home, or have the panels removed and returned to Sunnova at no cost to us. Instead the buyers cannot see the savings, nor can I as I have contacted PSEG to determine what my monthly electric bill would be and low and behold it would be less than the solar bill!! I was told I could not move the system to my new home because it is in a different utility zone .(JCPL . who we have called and they said they deal with all solar companies.) And finally Sunnova will not remove the panels and insist I signed the agreement knowing this. Contrary to what the salesperson told us. So if I want to sell my home they tell me I have to pay off the remaining lease and then give the panels back!!! Thats $79,000 for nothing. On top of that I am generating more power than I am using and not getting financial compensation. i am at my wits end . If I could give zero stars I would.. I have called repeatedly to speak to a supervisor and have yet to hear from one. This is the biggest scam out there

Update, still not operational due to lack of timely response. 2months! Man reviewing went on 1 month maternity leave, then his bid went on vacation. Ignored requests for timely change, went ahead eith all inspections, permits..... now they want to treat my very old request like a whole new system instead of just modifying original. Not too happy. One of their representatives did respond quickly to my original post, however the bottom line seems to be unchanged. They will propose change, will see cost add on. Initial change would have been $200 for next size inverter. Looking at previous responses here I also looked at overall production needef, they are low by about 2-3 300watt panels as well as 11.4kw vs 10kw inverters. My experience with Sunova is ongoing at this point. I notified them on installation that the inverter is not optimum for best production. I have a MSEE and now retired. Almost a month later one of their reply was "you have a used inverter, sorry". Still working on settling it. I guess they Don't need good referrals and more business.

It’s been the WORST experience in my life!!! While working on my roof in December, of 2017, they dislodged the exhaust pipe from the boiler in my home! Not only could it have killed myself and pets from carbon monoxide poisoning, I had soot damage throughout my entire home, and killed most of my plants in my home! Thank God I had a lot of plants to absorb the toxins... ruined my driveway, and damaged my back deck. Over a year later.... now they deny responsibility!!! Claiming it was preexisting conditions???!!! Yes! As a woman, I climbed up on my roof and pulled my exhaust pipe up enough to dislodge it from the boiler inside my home, to expose myself and pets to carbon monoxide poisoning!!! Much less,to ruin my home!! After a YEAR, these panels still sit on my house! Never activated! Their favors to me is to remove the panels at no cost to me ( an sure sign of guilt) but that prize doesn’t come without a contract that obsolves them of any damages, AND a kind guarantee that my roof won’t leak for a year!!! It’s AMASING to me that this company hasn’t been put out of business!!!! If I can’t do that, I will certainly do my best to make sure that anyone doing their homework on solar companies (unfortunately I did not) will know to stay away from SUNNOVA SOLAR!

If you are financing solar and are expecting to get the 9000 Ma. Tax credit be aware that they expect you to apply that right back to the principal of the loan or they will jack your rate up and nearly double your monthly payments. This practice seems predatory as the credit is listed as one of the perks for having financed your system as opposed to leasing, and is not explained really at all during time of purchase, I am not alone in being tricked either as it was another solar customer who made me aware of this practice. The company expects payment of the entire 9000 dollar credit within 18 months of installation, this is especially a problem for me as I did not clear the entire tax credit this year and only received 3000 with the balance carried over for the next two years. Here's where things really get fun though, my panels were installed last March and not activated until April, my monthly bill is currently $121, and my panels generated more electricity than my house consumed so from April until October I had no electrical bill which was a saving as my electric bill was typically around $213, however due to winter conditions from October until present day I did not generate more than I used, so I received an electric bill, when added to my solar bill it proved to be more than what I was paying before solar, January my electric bill was $160 plus solar $121 for a total cost of $281, now if I fail to pay the $9000 credit my solar bill will nearly double to $213 per month, meaning during winter months my combined solar and electric bill will be $373 dollars!! Needless to say I'm looking into how I can have the panels removed and break my contract. This practice is not exclusive to Sunnova as others using different companies have reported the same. So in conclusion solar energy may save trees but it won't save you money, just want to provide a warning before anyone else makes the same costly mistake I made!

Worst decision of my life when I called Momentum Solar who is a partner with Sunnova. They came to my house and claimed I would see a monthly utility bill of 135.00 per month on average. That the system installed would handle my electrical usage. They also stated that if I didn't like the results I could request they remove it and I could cancel. My grandson and I asked repeatedly if this were the case and they sales person confirmed. It was a disaster from the beginning the install was a mess they tore up my yard. I was concerned with the number of panels and what would be produced. Well I was right the system was under sized and I now pay Sunnova 135.00 per month and my utility company 115.00 on average in winter, the 115 was my bill before the system was installed, what happened next was summer came and my house hold usage was triple plus the fee to Sunnova. I had raised the concern that when the system was size off of my old utility bill my AC units were not fully functioning only half of the units were working ergo when they built the system it was under sized. Now I have higher cost with no benefit from Solar Power at all just a cost to me due to this poor service from Sunnova partner Momentum. I have written the BBB about Momentum no resolution, I will be writing the PUC with a complaint on both companies poor customer service and bulking people out of money with false claims .

Signed the contract in August of 2017. Panels installed in December 2017. Eighty-four panels in 2 arrays. Service turned on in August 2018. System is working at 1/2 capacity. Inspector sent out in November 2018. Said whole array of 42 panels not working. Have spoken many times to Sunnova. Last conversation was 3-way phone call in January including Momentum Solar who installed the system. Momentum informed Sunnova that they refuse to work on my system. Sunnova said they would get back to me. This is the end of February and have not heard from the company. Extremely poor customer service. DO OT USE THIS COMPANY.

If I had to do it over agin, I would not have used Sunnova or any subsiderary partner like Zing who markets their services on their behalf. While having solar panels has saved me 30-50% off my electric bills, the contracts and agents basically misrepresented the contract. While the company claims they do not put a lien on your home for the panels, essentially that is why they do. I am have been trying to sell my home for 90 days, having over 30 showings, and 5 offers all of which were retracted upon review of the solar contract. Multiple title companies from both my realtor and potential buyers have all said while the contract is not a “lien” it is enforced like one making it extremely difficult to transfer services and complete a sale on the home. The solar company gives you a few options when it comes time to sell your home, all of which are extremely difficult and can cause you to break the terms of your contract both with them or the buyers. Unless you plan on living in the same home for 25 years or buy a system full price, it simply is not worth it. The company gets the tax incentives and the panels won’t increase value you in your home when it comes time to sell. Better yet they start charging you before you even have the system installed during the 6 month process to get permits, plans, and installation. The sales people are misleading and work on a quota system receiving bonuses for locking in so many contracts. There is no real honesty or integrity from the salesman/woman. I am currently working with a lawyer to have the system removed so I can sell my home

I have had it for 3years , there is no difference in my bill by the time you add Sunnova bill to my PSEG bill. I regret signing up with Sunnova . I was told that my panels and inverter are old / obsolete by another solar panel technician that is why my panel production is low . I asked Trinity to upgrade my panel and inverter .I was told to talk to Sunnova; they keep tossing me around like ping pong back and forth . I went through alot to get panels down for roof repair that i am paying for. Still going through the same to put the obsolete panel back right now. Please do your research very well before signing up

We've had Sunnova solar panels for one year. We were promised lower electric bills or that the electric company may even pay us. To our unpleasant surprise we found that our electric bills were higher than the previous year. When we contacted Sunnova or PSE&G (the electric company) we were told that our usage had increased. I looked through the last two years of bills and it is clear that our usage was lower this year. Another customer service agent said we should have expected higher bills. Who would we sign up for higher bills? After we complained the marketing agent offered to install more panels on our roof (at a higher monthly cost to us) but said they'd only do it if the new panels were on the shady side of the house. What's the point in that? They might as well bury them in the yard. We are disgusted with our Sunnova solar panels.

ATTENTION: Before doing any business with Sunnova Solar, you may want to read my story. On Nov 8th, 2018 my family’s home burned down in the Camp Fire in Paradise, CA. We were informed of our loss two days after the fire and had called Sunnova to cancel/suspend the account on Nov 12th. They agreed and said they would suspend the account. Well, three weeks went by and then we got charged for an additional month of service ($311 for Dec), as well as the 3 weeks we paid in Nov for no power (Nov 8-end of November). When we contacted Sunnova about it, they refused to credit us and said we never signed a docu sign which they then sent us that day, three weeks after the first phone call to cancel the service. Now we are not only victims to the fire, where we lost our home and everything else we owned, but we were charged over $500 for power that we never received or had, as the power is completely out in our community and we have no home to go back to. Also, on top of that, Sunnova stated on their docu sign that if we didn’t have our home rebuilt within 12 months, they have the right to charge us monthly payments even if we don’t have a home or power hooked up by then. This company is straight up robbing my family and I and I want to bring this to everyone’s attention before you decide to do business with them and fall victim to them as well. DO NOT go into contract with this company. They are crooks! They do not care about their customers and have shown to me and my family what they truly believe in, coming up off victims, before helping victims out... It’s truly a heart breaking situation to be in when you already lost everything and am evil Corp is still trying to take what they can from you. Thanks for reading, Matt L.

Worst solar company, I seriously don’t believe that there is a worst company on this planet earth!! PLEASE do thorough research before going to to business with this horrifically fraudulent company!!! DO NO SIGN anything on their salesman’s tablets that’s how they trap you! Let me tell you my story! So this door to door agent comes to my door with many promises so much so that I was reluctant but still curious I signed a credit check to see if I’d qualify!! And guess what it turned out to be a 25 YEAR contract! Yes 25 year contract with an “escalator” so they call it of 2.9% which means my monthly payment will INCREASE EVERY SINGLE YEAR for the lifetime of the contract! The installation was a nightmare they ruined my yard and my roof! I have called Sunnova over and over just to get the same excuse there’s no point in asking for a supervisor because they appear to be uneducated in the product and refer the contract to rebuddle every SINGLE complaint. I have never in my life experienced such blasphemy!! They supposedly don’t put a lien one home they put a “UCC” so they call it which is basically or might as well be a lien! Don’t believe me? Look it up!! Now I can’t sale my home unless I con the homeowner into taking over the contract or buy it out because I plan to move out of state and get this, I can’t even bring the panels with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the worst mistake I’ve EVER made in my life! Opening the door to the salesman and signing what I believe was simple a credit check!!! Why would any logical person in this world sign a 25 year contract for solar? Solar panels is an evolving technology like a cell phone! Every single year more efficient panels are created and I’m stuck with this bulky ALREADY outdated system! I’m Jesus Lord I hope this company falls apart so I can be released out of this horrendous fraudulent wack company! Please stay away or you’ll just be in position. I truly highly doubt the positive comments on here are real! It’s probably one of Sunnova employees just trying to balance out the comments but trust me im sure non of there employees would sign onto their contract! I even asked a rep and they advised me on a RECORDED line that they would never sign this contract! Can you believe this??! It’s is the worst worst worst company on the face of this planet!

HORRIBLE company. I inherited a Sunnova from the previous homeowner and it is TERRIBLY undersized and EXPENSIVE. The system does not produce enough solar energy and when they have you locked in to their 20 year contract you are TOTALLY screwed. I have called multiple times and want to know why other similar houses have bigger systems, why between my solar and energy bill combined I am paying more than other similar or even larger homes and what can be done. They always "open a case" but have NEVER once called me back. I called AGAIN today to check in and they just said, call our local partner Trinity Solar. They always make sure to remind you of the contract though and that you either buy it out or bend over. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Horrific customer service and just use the contract as a way to negate that the system sucks, they don't respond and changes can never be made without additional costs. I cannot wait until these things are gone. Praying a hurricane rips them off!

My system worked at less than 100% of guaranteed production for the 1st 3 years. Not as promised by the salesman - but not terrible. My inverter stopped working in the spring. They replaced the inverter after 5 weeks with what appeared to be a used inverter. My system has produced at third of guaranteed production since July 2018. I have complained to Sunnova regularly this summer. I was most recently told that the problem was "weather and other factors." I now check my inveter every day and usually find that it is not producing. My salesman told me there was a warranty on the contract and nothing to worry about. I pay my lease faithfully (and have high electric bills). Sunnova is not honoring the warranty. I have open CASE # 01118014 with Sunnova but I'm left with frustration and disappointment. I'm not saving money or the environment if my system is not producing. I am going to be selling my home and I'm worried.

I had Sunnova install solar panels on my house about 3 years ago. If I could rate them negative stars I would. They customer support does nothing to solve issues- I called them to see if my panels were working, and they confirmed everything was running efficiently based on their side. However, It turns put my panels weren't even on! Before I had the panels installed, I'd pay my APS bill the maximum payments of $250. After installing, I pay two bills, the APS bill AND Sunnova. My APS bill is now doubled what it was ($440) . I live in the sunniest part of Arizona, you'd think that'd help save some cash! The first time I decided to cancel the solar panels were even before they had installed them, but the company sent me back the salesman and he informed me that they'd charge me a cancelation fee of $10,000. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I am giving a zero rating for customer support for Sunnova. I have been calling for a month or longer because our condo association is getting new roofs due to storm damage. I was told they would get a "quote" to determine what it will cost ME to pay for removal and reinstallation of the panels. My lease does not even mention anything about this being a cost to me. I was given a verbal quote of over $3k by phone but have yet to receive a copy of the quote. I was just recently told that I have to approve the quote before I can work with the installer partner to find out if they can even schedule to do the work in time. I have been so frustrated and stressed out by this totally non-support I would never refer even my enemies to this company. After spending over $3k for this removal and install, every amount I could save on electricity will be lost for the rest of the life of my lease and I have only lived in my home for one year.

Do you really want to hear it... Lets see I put the solar system on my roof with promises that I was going to save money, save the environment yadda yadda yadda.... I was promised I was going to be under a warranty that if I wasn't producing more than I was using they would come out and add more panels with no problems. YEAH RIGHT!! Well first year my electric bill at the end of the year was over $500.00 not including the monthly fee I paid of around $100.00 for the system. I called they told me oh that's because you didn't have the system a full year and didn't produce enough during the winter months. OK so .... My second year comes and goes well now I owe over $700.00 to Edison and still paying that monthly fee to Sunnova which has now increased. I call and they say oh well lets do an audit but you have to send us 1 year of bills from pre-solar and 1 year of recent electric bills. OK so I go and pull all these electric bills and scan each one and email them all over as instructed. It takes them several weeks to get back to me and then when they do the girl has a total attitude tells me my problem is that I am using more electricity now than I did back then. Well thats great unfortunately its been a hot summer and with the local fires and my asthma I have to have it running. Anyways I ask her if we can add more panels and ensure we get are producing enough. She tells me she will have to talk to another department and get back to me. A few weeks goes by I hear nothing I call and am sent to her voicemail I leave a message and wait a few more days guess what no word. So I call customer service the guy is super nice and understanding but says I have to talk to her. UGH so I leave more messages for her and well after doing this a few more times she answers and tells me the same story I heard before but this time she tells me someone from the other department will call me back. YEAH right I still haven't heard from them and when I call not they pass me around like a hot potato and I have gotten nowhere. SO NOW I just want the crap off my roof so I can find someone that knows what they are doing to come do this. Oh did I mention we are only like four months into the new year of coverage and guess what I already owe the electric company nearly $700.00 and of course Sunnova increased my monthly payment to them. SO WHEN DOES THAT SAVINGS START????? WHEN DO I GET A REBATE OR ANYTHING???? Save yourself a lot of headache and a lot of money and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE DO NOT USE SUNNOVA!!!

Seven Months ago the local contractor discovered damage to the wiring caused by squirrels. The contractor opted to shut down the system for safety reasons. (Much appreciated) Since then it has been explained to me that I would still be responsible for monthly payments as the contract is a lease and only guarantees production over a three year period. At the end of that period Sunnova would refund for any shortfall in production. I guess the lease doesn't guarantee a working system. Five months later (two months ago) the local contractor removed the panels which are now stored in my garage. There the remain while we await Sunnova to come up with a solution. Upon removing the panels the contractor discovered damage which was a result of the system. So, here we are after 7 months of no service, roof damage, no proposed solution and my garage unusable since it now serves as a Sunnova warehouse. Of course, Sunnova still collects it's monthly payment. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

In my opinion, Sunnova runs their business similar like a gangster mafia. Sunnova illegally put me on a Solar contract on a home that I owned. The contract was under my tenant. I was never shown a contract. I never signed any document with Sunnova. I communicated with them about Solar. I never consented to the Solar. I never paid them any payments. When I planned to sell the property I called Sunnova to see what their plans were to sell and spoke to Bianca. Bianca was extremely rude and not helpful what so ever. From that conversation a UCC recording was filed against my property under the tenants name. This filing scared 1 buyer away and the other buyer the sale was successful but the title company withheld the proceeds until they got to the bottom of Sunnova's gangster policies. Never I mean never do business with this company!!

would give zero - I need to move and thought that this would be no issue at all- as the sales rep and there website say they are transferable. My buyer is demolishing the house and does not want them - my options are to move them to my new property - but they won't do that as it a different service supplier or continue to pay for another 22 years for panels making no electricity or buy them out at an overprice. its a total SCAM. I am very upset as I chose the company as a NEW Jersey State sponsored energy efficiency day was held at my company and Sunnovva was the solar company there - so I thought they were a good company

Never sign a contract from Sunnova. They promise to save money on your electricity and it’s not true. Besides I had to sell my home and the company put a lean in my home. The worst part is that Sunnova did not allowed me to cancel the contract even though I didn’t have any other option. They said that the only two options I had were either pass the contract to the new owner or take the panels to the new home I was buying, but neither the new owner wanted this ridiculous contract nor I needed two solar panels on my new home due to my new home already had solar panels already paid from the previous owner. Sunnova wanted to move the solar panels no matter what and wanted to charge $8,000 just to move the panels, which it’s a ridiculous amount even when I did not need them. Also the other option is to pay $19,00.00 to cancel the contract. It’s a headache to deal with this company, I have been paying two electricity bills for 9 months so far, one bill of the previous home I sold and another one of the home I bought. Besides the person who bought my home is so angry due to the Sunnova company doesn’t want to take away the panels and I have to pay for any roof damage that this panels may cause. Stay away from this company, otherwise you will have to deal with too many problems!

Worse company ever. They aren't the brightess bulbs and their representatives are morons. Me and my co-owner wanted to go solar for our house. We signed up with Momentum Solar, which is the third party company. They signed us up for Sunnova. So the day we signed up with Sunnova, we also got an email saying "Cancellation Request accepted". We called them up and they said that they couldn't tell which property is ours and they needed to see a copy of the deed. Our house is a joint house, which some people think it's a twin, some say it's a town/row home and some say it's a duplex but whatever it is, it's still it's own identity. So we were a little reluctant to just turn over person information, but momentum solar reinsured us that this was normal and we sent a copy over. The day we sent it over, we got another email saying "Welcome to Sunnova" and another email a few hours later "Cancellation Request accepted". We called Momentum again to find out why and they weren't sure, so they were going to call Sunnova, but so did we. When we called, the representatives (as brilliant as they are) said that they could tell which roof we owned. I just stopped and said "you're kidding me right?" And they said we can't do the installation because we can't tell what roof is yours. So I said "how can you not tell what roof is ours? If you look at Google earth, you can clearly see there is a fence dividing the properties, not only that, the deed says this is it's own identity regardless that it's connected to another house and finally, to help you understand what roof is our, it's color coded for people like you who can't figure it out (as the house next door has green shingles and our house has gray shingles)" she said "you will need to own the property next to you in order for us to do the installation" my co-owner asked "do you own or rent your home?" She said "rent" he then said "ok, do you rent the apartment next to you as well?" She said "no, I just rent the one I live in, I don't need to rent both apartments" he said exactly. So after weeks went by, Momentum was still trying to get them to understand. We then thought "hey, we are finally going to get somewhere because they want the "zoning agent" to speak to us"....yeah....that was a joke! Never heard from this so-called zoning agent. I don't think he even exists. So a few months past, with Momentum still trying to get them to understand. We decided 1 finally call. So it was myself, the co-owner and a rep from Momentum and we called 3 way to Sunnova. The representative was very smug about her responses but she said "No we will not put them up because we can't tell which roof is theres" the guy from Momentum said "Even if you look a google earth, you can tell the difference in roofs" she said "they would need to own the other property next to them" and he said "even though you guys done this before (installed) on a townhouse, you guys won't do it now?" She said "nope, they would need to own the property next to them. Luckily for us, we had found a good company while we were waiting. But wanted to give Momentum a chance to help us. Sadly, they couldn't get through to these thickheaded idiots. It's no wonder they are going out of business, they are a terrible company. If you start to think to go to this company, run....RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! If their sales person shows up at your door, slam your door on them. If they call, hang up. This company will not do you any favors and talking them is pointless. You'd do better talking to the wall then talking to these guys. Don't believe? Go ahead and read the other reviews, they will prove my point that this is the worse solar company ever!

I would leave zero stars if possible. There guarantee is a garbage lie. they stated we would be producing enough to cover our bills and then some. so far after three plus years we have a solar bill of $206.00 a month and a electric bill. I am not saving any money and I am producing 19% under there guarantee. they offered me 15 dollars off of my bill per month. This company is a scam. there customer rep Arkaz will give you a direct line that rings, goes to a voice mail with a recording of "all circuits are busy" SCAM SCAM SCAM. do not do business with them. your better off buying your own panels and installing them directly to your house.

Sales guy came out to the house calculated the cost and said it would cost of contract $61 dollars a month and nothing from electric co. Get a monthly contract bill from Sunnova $87 dollars and $60 from peco. I Iive by myself, change all lights to led and not home all day. My electric bill went up more with solar panels. Customer service told me you have to have full sun to get pay back usage and a year to see savings. When sales guy came out said no full sun for it to work, works on a cloudy day and see savings first few months. The company are frauds and misleading the people. After we chose to use this company and we arranged for installation we didn't here from them for about 6 months. I had to call them over and over. They finally said the delay was our fault because we had a structure on our property that was build without a permit. That structure was an above ground, basic spa! Then they took for ever to work out our payment plan and began calling and asking if we were planning to give them the money we would be getting from our task return! They called almost every month. I finally told them no. We are not planning to give it to them. At this point I wish they would take them off our roof so we can start over with another company because we still have to pay Edison money every year because the panels are not producing enough energy for our use. I could go on and on about the promises this company will make to sell but never deliver on them.

I went with Sunnova Solar because we were paying a lot for electricity and sales representative said they guarantee savings. Now about 2 1/2 years in and I'm paying about the same overall. I've requested to have them look into what is the reason I'm not saving as much. We had asked to have our system sized a little bigger for future house expansion yet we barely make enough as it is. Sunnova recently had their systems hacked and I no longer feel that my information is safe. I've requested that due to their systems being compromise to let me out of their contract but they refuse. Oddly enough my bank account was recently used by an unauthorized person. There seems to be some noise coming from the area that the solar equipment is located but their tech was unable to hear it. I'll admit that it didn't make the noise when he was here but I advised them it's more noticeable at night. I recommend anyone looking to get their solar system with Sunnova that you look through all the reviews and make a wise choice.

I was told by the sales rep that the 18 panels on my home would wipe out my electric bill from Edison, it never has. I get a true up bill every year, this past year it was $1400. I have contacted them on numerous occasions only to be told that they system is operating properly and there is nothing they can do as I am under contract. I have a letter from the sales rep stating that based on his design I should not have a Edison bill. Sunnova doesn’t care about their customers, only the bottom line. I have requested additional panels to be installed even though my bill with them would change, they won’t do that unless I sign a new 25 year lease??? Why would I do that when I am already unhappy. I want these panels off of my house or I want additional panels installed, and to make an adjustment to my contract. I will not sign another contract with them as they cant fulfill the promises already made to me. My average Edison bill was $165 a month, now I am spending over $250 a month
