The process took a very long time. A lot of back and forth. I'm glad I'm a Project Manager as I had to manage and coordinate between Sunnova and V3 and the 3rd party electrical contractor to get this project finished up. 3rd party electrical contractor almost caught house on fire with poor electrical wiring which was against code. The staff that did show up at the house never knew what they were working on and relyed on me to tell them and coordinate with your other team member to determine how to get them to accomplish the tasks. I'm glad I'm an engineer and my boyfriend is and electrician. Lots of mis wiring and also had the battery backup mis-wired for I don't know how many years as it was feeding off the grid and not the solar system which is probably another reason our true up bill had been so high every year. The electrician and V3 staff told us this as well. I will be moving in the coming months and I just hope that this potion of the sale of the house with the leased solar goes more smoothly than the install did.

The team of Sean and Katie, that my family had taking care of us, were the best. Together they took care of everything and kept us well informed when the electric company dragged their feet. I can’t thank them enough. The gentleman who did our inspections, installations and anything else to make sure all was right with our home and panels, thank you and you are greatly appreciated for a job well done. If we ever have the need to do this again, I will definitely call Sean again and go with this company. His knowledge and attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

Our representative is a very nice person and helps to answer all our questions. We are hoping our monthly rate will decrease after our year evaluation . To date, this company has been very reliable. Follow through was seamless and timely. They also prepared us for what to expect and from whom. The only suggestion I would make is that someone, whether it be Sunnova or electrical company, take the time to explain the installed meter and what to expect should there be an outage and we have a natural gas generator. Web had a “blip” last week but did not experience any outage or generator start up. We are assuming that the solar panel-generated power kicked in. Anxiously waiting for our first energy bill

The initial process of going through the contracts and agreements was great. Smooth. When it came time for install it seemed smooth at first. The crews change each visit along with the quality of work. From what I can tell, the solar panels look great on the roof. From the groundwork done from crews it’s messy, metal scrapings, razor blades, torn up grass *they did spread some seed after complaint, the electrical work inside left shavings and pieces of pipe. They cut my internet cable coming into the house and didn’t let us know, I had to have Comcast come out twice to figure out the problem. I was compensated for the visits and cost of wire from the installer afterwards. I had no issue with communication just the ground work. Which I was compensated for. I just wasn’t expecting that poor quality of work on the outside and eye level of home. They knew I had children and leaving all the stuff behind was lazy. I’m hoping going forward the solar panels work and all is good!

Sunnova is an eye-opening company in the residential solar business from the very moment that we sat down with our Rep Ignacio. Forget about buying for cash or financing for 25 years, we are leasing our system for the price of our average electric bill for the past 4 months. Fortunatley for us, the months were winter time months and we live in South Florida where we don't use our air conditioning much as the weather is very nice. It is open windows and doors for homes in this area. Ignacio explained to us the benefits of leasing a solar system, and the biggest benefit of all is that there is no investment in your solar system. And, if something goes wrong, Sunnova will be out to your home to fix whatever is wrong ASAP, because the only way they can make money on this system, is to have it producing more power than we need, so they can sell it back to our electric utility company. They even had to add a panel to our system, as it was not producing enough power to enable Sunnova to sell back to the Utility. And, if there is any issue like the addition of a panel, Sunnova is the responsible party to eliminate the issue. I really support and like this company!!

Made the entire process for getting solar panels very easy, I just needed to be home on certain days to let people in the house to do the work. They did all of the contacting with the city and my energy company, as well as pulling the permits. Even getting the quote was a simple process, they pulled all the information they needed from the city, including how old my roof was because I wasn't sure, and showed up with a small presentation to discuss the kind of savings I could see. We just got our panels turned on, it took a little bit of time since it's a long process going through the city and our energy company, but it was easy

We installed our solar panels in 2020. Our panels have not given us a day's trouble. And Sunnova is on top of watching for outages, issues with the panel or equipment. Most times they contact us to let us know there is an issue before we even realize there is a problem. They handle everything when it comes to maintenance. But, we have not had that much trouble with our system, so we rarely need them to fix things. Our sales rep was (is) amazing. We still call on him with questions. We purchased our batteries in 2022, prior to that our overages were sold back to the grid for credits. But now, our batteries are charged up by around 9AM most mornings, and then our house runs completely on solar during the day. The batteries kick in at dark, and even in the hot Texas summer, we rarely ran out of battery power. Another great feature is that we have a storm watch. When severe weather is about 100 miles from us and coming in, our battery system automatically begins to charge itself so that when the storm hits, our batteries are at 100% capacity. We love having gone solar. And, if we move, we will invest in it again.

Getting solar was very easy and everything went just as they promised. Adding a battery after has taken a very long time and I have had issues with the subcontractor they used to get the system installed. What should of been 2 days at most turned into 4 days of making sure someone was here to wait for them and I am still waiting for them to get the final approval to turn the batteries on as they did not file the paperwork correctly and this has delayed things at least a week and a half and still counting. Sunnova is a great company, but be careful of the subcontractor as they are not all the same.

I was originally was approved for a loan through Sunnova, but the company that offered solar most likely did something wrong as they have been known to do, so I had to get a loan elsewhere. With that being said, Sunnova had great coverage for solar beyond what Green Day Power ended up giving me. Somewhere along the line Sunnova contacted me for maintenance, so I think Generac assigned Sunnova to maintain my system from now on. No one could give me an answer. But I do know GDP never freely offered to come by and look at my system other than the multiple times I reported problems. Sunnova did freely contact me for a check up and found some problems that weren’t fixed by GDP when that should have been fixed months ago. So I’m glad Sunnova stepped in.

I moved into a new build home that had Solar Panels from Sunova. I was apprehensive to sign a rental contract since I had not had solar at any other home. Having Solar is the best thing that has happened to my home ownership. Sunova has been an excellent company to work with. They are so professional and have checked in to make sure it reduces my bill to their satisfaction and I was happy with the system. By the experiences I have had working with them I fully trust they will be available if needed. The reduction in my bills is incredible. The system looks organized and neat. All of my uneasiness or concern over solar is gone and I am now a firm believer thanks to Sunova and their associates.

I was scheduled for an inverter replacement and giving a time between 8 AM and 11 AM on October 10 as my service date. Though I enjoy having solar to try and cut down on my Energy bill, it is stupid that even though I have solar panels during a power outage. I cannot use my power because you guys did not install a shut off between my house and the main power line. To prevent the panels from backfeeding energy into Potentially down wires. So now, even though hurricane Milton just went by, I'm stuck without power after buying solar panels, so I would have power even during a power outage.

Terrible customer service !!! Do not use them if your roof is NOT new I’m 9 years in with them and need a new roof got a quote in May of $10,314.00 to remove and replace panels ….. wasn’t ready in May but am now 4 MONTHS later they gave me a new quote of $21,300.00. Yes, I can use a third party but will loss my warranty for everything if they cannot seal it properly!!!

The technicians did a great job changing the fuses in the battery. Previous failures required changing and rewiring failed solar panels. The failed solar panels were not covered under warranty.

I liked professionalism and helpfulness of all people who were involved in the process start to finish, I dislike you being inaccurate about certain things, not the people, the company, where you promised to have a comprehensive app that show production AND consumption of power for my house but it turned its an optional hardware I’d be paying extra for on your website and it rubs me off the wrong way when things like that happens so you either include everything in the system or you make it very clear about the optional things you guys offer through an automated email or text or mail etc…

You need to find installers that give a damn about what they’re doing!! There are people that have had the panels sitting in their driveways for months, some with panels installed but not hooked up and no idea when they’re going to!! These installers are representing Legacy, and giving you a really bad name. I was lucky enough to have Trevor V as a representative that gave a damn!! I have a couple issues right now that he working on now, but not everybody was that lucky. Kudos to Trevor Legacy NEEDS new installers!!

Took a long time and no communication with company. Now that it’s turned on I have not recieved any instruction about an app to monitor if the system is producing what I was promised. All I was told was they will know if it’s working!! Not good enough communication for me! I am really having second thoughts about this whole solar experience. Not a happy customer.

I liked my experience. The only thing I did like was the change in the plans. They ended up installing two more panels then originally planned and they had to go by themselves on my garage roof which doesn’t not look as nice as the original plan for panels just on the house.

Experience has been minimal at this point. They are the financial aspect of the solar. Rebate check was addressed incorrectly and fedex delivered to a house on different street address assuming it was correct due to no other houses present within our vlock.
