Well I send an email and called my sales person the email never were answered the sales person was busy and should call me back when she have a moment been more than a week ! First after installation the system didn't pass inspection than they showed up in the morning not even call to tell me anything the inspector came again same morning he was upset because the repairs should be done before not in the same moment than I claimed to the attic and found they removed the insulation to run the wires and never put them back also when they installed the solar panels the 4 inches screws instead of go in the beams they just perforated the roof leaving a dangerous spot so now to move around got to becareful with my head ! I asked to the sales person about the edge of the panels because the guy replaced my gutters tell me they are to close to the edge when snow comes down off the panels they will take the gutters down or damage them ! I got an email from sunnova telling my system was canceled so now not sure what is going on with it also I asked how I know my system is working or production because isn't any meter on the electrical box I have my old system from Sunrun and the meter shows everything and is 10 years old so no body come and give me guidance about this no calls no nothing I answered the text message from them about the survey and didn't answer either! So what happens you get the system installed like crap and not even have the decency of call to schedule to review with a costumer! I tough this company will be better than Sunrun because of sales person but the way I see is the same garbage

I don't even know who sunnova is. The first install crew was horrible left a mess on site,and had me tear up driveway to trench underground conduit, because they couldn't do the job otherwise, and my driveway is still screwed up.

My friend referred me and was told she and whom she refers will get rewarded (1k). That was a lie. I didn’t get anything because it wasn’t “offered” when I signed but I got an email for that month about the same reward. Installment was a mess, people drove in my yard despite having a long driveway open to use and side of the road. They were scheduled to come 8-9am, but showed up a little before 7am. Was told power would be off 6-8hrs so I took off work to accommodate and they never needed to turn it off. I wasted my annual time at work for no reason. The installment resulted in my year old roof leaking and it was extremely difficult getting any responses to help as I have water coming through. They tried to blame my roofing company, despite they just installing it and then having the problem (if my roofing company messed up, it would have leaked prior to this installation especially with the several storms we had with downpouring). Communication was poor and the manager Justin just ignores it. I feel like I made the worst decision of my life with this company.

Every one of my calls goes to a central call center where the representatives are very nice but they cannot schedule appointments, answer any questions, and no one ever calls me back when I ask them to have a supervisor respond to me. They make appointments without checking with the homeowner, and I only find out about them if I call and they randomly happen to have scheduled one.

I don't have complaints about the installation, I was executed as planed and fast. Our complaint is with the the information systems of the company. We had and currently have trouble trying to log into the Customer Portal. They made a mistake, placing as an incorrect user name which makes very difficult to log in or replace the password. The system rejects logs in and is very difficult to see the production of the solar panels, how much we are paying and how much we are "saving" We know that the installation is very good for the environment, but not yet nothing about saving money.

Unfortunately, the the website doesn't update the auto pay when information is submitted there. It seems like there are glitches and there's a lot of going back and forth with requiring the customer to provide the same information. It is also been difficult to get in contact with customer support not only for the customer but for the seller associated to the solar.

My inverter went out on 8-19-2024. I noticed it not working 3 day later. Called to get it fixed they came ordered part which came in bout 5 days later. They scheduled to come 9-18-2024. Almost a month to get it fixed. My solar panels are paid off and I still have to wait a month to get it fixed. Very disappointed on the maintenance service .

Follow through was seamless and timely. They also prepared us for what to expect and from whom. The only suggestion I would make is that someone, whether it be Sunnova or electrical company, take the time to explain the installed meter and what to expect should there be an outage and we have a natural gas generator. Web had a “blip” last week but did not experience any outage or generator start up. We are assuming that the solar panel-generated power kicked in. Anxiously waiting for our first energy bill

The initial process of going through the contracts and agreements was great. Smooth. When it came time for install it seemed smooth at first. The crews change each visit along with the quality of work. From what I can tell, the solar panels look great on the roof. From the groundwork done from crews it’s messy, metal scrapings, razor blades, torn up grass *they did spread some seed after complaint, the electrical work inside left shavings and pieces of pipe. They cut my internet cable coming into the house and didn’t let us know, I had to have Comcast come out twice to figure out the problem. I was compensated for the visits and cost of wire from the installer afterwards. I had no issue with communication just the ground work. Which I was compensated for. I just wasn’t expecting that poor quality of work on the outside and eye level of home. They knew I had children and leaving all the stuff behind was lazy. I’m hoping going forward the solar panels work and all is good!

Sunnova is an eye-opening company in the residential solar business from the very moment that we sat down with our Rep Ignacio. Forget about buying for cash or financing for 25 years, we are leasing our system for the price of our average electric bill for the past 4 months. Fortunatley for us, the months were winter time months and we live in South Florida where we don't use our air conditioning much as the weather is very nice. It is open windows and doors for homes in this area. Ignacio explained to us the benefits of leasing a solar system, and the biggest benefit of all is that there is no investment in your solar system. And, if something goes wrong, Sunnova will be out to your home to fix whatever is wrong ASAP, because the only way they can make money on this system, is to have it producing more power than we need, so they can sell it back to our electric utility company. They even had to add a panel to our system, as it was not producing enough power to enable Sunnova to sell back to the Utility. And, if there is any issue like the addition of a panel, Sunnova is the responsible party to eliminate the issue. I really support and like this company!!

Made the entire process for getting solar panels very easy, I just needed to be home on certain days to let people in the house to do the work. They did all of the contacting with the city and my energy company, as well as pulling the permits. Even getting the quote was a simple process, they pulled all the information they needed from the city, including how old my roof was because I wasn't sure, and showed up with a small presentation to discuss the kind of savings I could see. We just got our panels turned on, it took a little bit of time since it's a long process going through the city and our energy company, but it was easy

We installed our solar panels in 2020. Our panels have not given us a day's trouble. And Sunnova is on top of watching for outages, issues with the panel or equipment. Most times they contact us to let us know there is an issue before we even realize there is a problem. They handle everything when it comes to maintenance. But, we have not had that much trouble with our system, so we rarely need them to fix things. Our sales rep was (is) amazing. We still call on him with questions. We purchased our batteries in 2022, prior to that our overages were sold back to the grid for credits. But now, our batteries are charged up by around 9AM most mornings, and then our house runs completely on solar during the day. The batteries kick in at dark, and even in the hot Texas summer, we rarely ran out of battery power. Another great feature is that we have a storm watch. When severe weather is about 100 miles from us and coming in, our battery system automatically begins to charge itself so that when the storm hits, our batteries are at 100% capacity. We love having gone solar. And, if we move, we will invest in it again.

Getting solar was very easy and everything went just as they promised. Adding a battery after has taken a very long time and I have had issues with the subcontractor they used to get the system installed. What should of been 2 days at most turned into 4 days of making sure someone was here to wait for them and I am still waiting for them to get the final approval to turn the batteries on as they did not file the paperwork correctly and this has delayed things at least a week and a half and still counting. Sunnova is a great company, but be careful of the subcontractor as they are not all the same.

I was originally was approved for a loan through Sunnova, but the company that offered solar most likely did something wrong as they have been known to do, so I had to get a loan elsewhere. With that being said, Sunnova had great coverage for solar beyond what Green Day Power ended up giving me. Somewhere along the line Sunnova contacted me for maintenance, so I think Generac assigned Sunnova to maintain my system from now on. No one could give me an answer. But I do know GDP never freely offered to come by and look at my system other than the multiple times I reported problems. Sunnova did freely contact me for a check up and found some problems that weren’t fixed by GDP when that should have been fixed months ago. So I’m glad Sunnova stepped in.

I moved into a new build home that had Solar Panels from Sunova. I was apprehensive to sign a rental contract since I had not had solar at any other home. Having Solar is the best thing that has happened to my home ownership. Sunova has been an excellent company to work with. They are so professional and have checked in to make sure it reduces my bill to their satisfaction and I was happy with the system. By the experiences I have had working with them I fully trust they will be available if needed. The reduction in my bills is incredible. The system looks organized and neat. All of my uneasiness or concern over solar is gone and I am now a firm believer thanks to Sunova and their associates.

Everyone from start to finish was polite and professional. They said that my roof needed replacement and did the replacement at no cost to me. The electricians and the carpenters were great, they spread grass seed where they had to dig to bury the cable. The customer service always called to give updates and things that we needed to do for the hookups.

I was getting checks ins from phone calls every 3 to 4 months . Been when I was asked how my solar system was working I told them I was paying WAY more then my electric bill. Representative said he would follow up the following month to see how the solar system is working for the following month and never called . That was may of 2023 .. It’s now a year and a half later no follow up on my concern of me paying WAY more now going solar .. My electric bills where half of what I pay for solar

Has yet to function at 100%. At this time one Tesla powerwall is not functioning. The Tesla control panel in the garage does not work. When Hurricane Milton hit I should have had power to get me through it. I had power for 5 minutes around every 4-5 hours, more or less useless.

I would choose 0 customer service is a joke. I'm trying to make payments with my Bank Account and it tells me my account is not correct. I'm having to pay a Fee because it'll only take my Bank Card which the money comes from my Bank Account, They tell me my Route # and Acct. # is wrong. I've had this account for 30yrs. Horrible finance Co. They don't know what they're doing.

This whole process took a bit too long to achieve. The company removed the gutters from our roof and never replaced it and when we asked about it they said that we have to hire someone else to put them back.

I was happy with Sunnova at the beginning things went well, but I ordered powerwall 3 backup batteries at the beginning of October and here it is November 1 and nothing has been done! No updates from the company I had to call to get updates

They are rude. They are unwilling to help except to say that you are under contract. They are unwilling to compromise or let you speak to support personnel or a supervisor, saying they will call you back within 2-3 business days. They refuse to accept accountability for unresolved issues. They have no real concept of true communication siting that all issues are going to be resolved accordingly and then no one ever calls you back unless YOU call back several times and then they call but it will always come back to your error in communication or non communication with them. You are under contract is all they site on any and all issues.

So far, system is working however I'm concerned about the placement of the panels. It's different than what the plan showed and now, it looks like 2 or 3 old trees may have to come down. This does NOT make me very happy!
