Salesperson said that certain things like an outdated electrical mast pole and a leaking roof would be covered if we went solar. Also mentioned some trees that might causecproblems, but crew that came out could not find leak and did not even make note of mast or trees. Fought with salesperson and finally got roofers to fix leak, but they did nothing about the rest that was promised. Felt a bit like bait and switch, especially once project was complete and salesperson said that nothing can be done now. Will keep our agreement, but will not look to continue with Sunnova once our contract is up.

The technician sent out for the installation of the replacement inverter was professional, respectful and very helpful. The time lapse from the delivery of the inverter to your call for an appointment was excessive, particularly when your text stated it would be 5 days and it was 4 weeks.

I was receiving PVLink errors. I had been getting these since PowerHome Solar(PinkEnergy) installed my system. The links were replaced several times. Sunnova’s crew came out to resolve the issue. All they did was clear the error message. I am concerned that this will remain an ongoing issue. I paid a lot of money for this system, and was told at the time of sale that everything is guaranteed for 25 years.

The technicians were courteous and professional. Both the roof and solar panels installation went very well. I would have given both a 5-star rating if (1) the roofers had removed the extra roofing materials and (2) if the solar panels installers did a better job cleaning up after the installation.

We had no information about this company taking over from the previous company. We knew that they were in bankruptcy but were not contacted with any information to keep us up to date and changes made. We were not home at the time of the technician’s arrival, but we did have a notification on the front door that they had been there and made changes to the converter. I was never educated enough on making changes and technical support was limited so I had made some changes hoping for better results. Hopefully the changes made by the technician will lead to better production. Thanks

The service was great. They came out to provide warranty service for our Generac system and they were very professional. Leading up to that the communication was terrible. I had an open work order for three months. I would call and email to follow up and got the runaround every time. I had to contact Generac to “shake the tree” to see if we could at least set an appointment! No one ever called or emailed to set up this service, they arrived unannounced fortunately I was home.

Our sales guy, Rob, who is very informative, knowledgeable, and responsive, easy to work with during this process. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication between the layout plans and the install team/electricians /inspectors which ultimately delayed the installation and all of the inspections so we weren’t insanely pleased with all of that.

So far not impressive, every time i call i get only an 888 number, company is based out of texas and i feel like what i have is just not their interest. They contected me asking for my email to get a generac installation for a new switch box. Come to find out they show up unnounced asking where i am when they said they would schedule with me and confirm date and time. No email and no text no phone call, just showed up. Had to get my wife to close our boutigue 5june and leave and meet them. Guy said yeah we aint doing this pulling lines baxk through her to replace whats needed. We will give this back to sunnova and they will be in touch to schedule a complete diagonstic and replace whats needed. So 6 months back on the grid and still paying for a solar system we cant use. Frustrated beyond belief with no resolution. I hope someone at their corporate reads these because i need answers and help to finish a simple task. How hard is this! Kenny Johnson

So far I show no activity in my production. I’ve been told that my panels are active. And received an email that I should be able to view production within 1-2 days. It’s now been a week, I still don’t show any activity. I’ve called customer care and was told that the email was wrong, it will show production within 1-2 weeks. I asked what if nothing is producing? They said we’ll take it to the next step, but won’t know until 1-2 weeks. I asked to speak with a supervisor, he said my account is different because I paid for mine in full. He fully paid accounts have to be handled differently and he would call back. I have yet to hear anything, and it’s been over 24 hours.

The bureaucratic process of installers taking pictures of their work, then sending them in for review, then send a repair request, then scheduling the repair, then completing the repairs wastime consuming and delayed the installation. Particularly when this occurs several times. I appreciate the discrepancies the reviewers found but my expectations are that the installation should be done right the first time. It took over six months from contract signing to operational system which should take no longer than four.

We have had a great experience with the solar panel install so far. Installers were courteous and informative. Web site showing production is easy to use. Would like to see output of individual panels. I've seen other sites that showed the grid and performance of each panel. Overall very pleased.

It is worth getting the system just for the overall decrease in electrical costs especially if you have to utilize window units for air conditioning. The installation process is easy and Sunnova handles all of the permits.

There are multiple steps in the process of getting the solar cells. On Sunnova side everything was smooth. However, on the contractor side everything g takes long time. It took already 3 months and still our EV charger to be installed - this is the reason for one less star (I should probably subtract 0.5star). Overall, everything is good.
