The Life Alert system is incredibly reliable, and their monitoring center operates 24/7, which gives me peace of mind knowing that if anything happens to my mother, help will always be there for her. On several occasions, my mother has accidentally activated her device, and the response from the Life Alert team was immediate and professional. The monitoring center is staffed by trained professionals who assess the situation and dispatch the appropriate emergency services as quickly as possible.

I am very surprised to see negative comments about this company. I am 84 years old and I have had nothing but the most fabulous experience with Life Alert. I had two bad falls and if I didn't have my button, I would have been in big trouble. They are always so nice to me and pleasant. I feel peace because I know I have my helper no matter what. I wouldn't give Life Alert up for anything. God bless.

We're two years into the three year contract. My parents (both in their 80's) live in their home in southern California, while I'm way up in Seattle. They've activated the system twice after falls, and all worked exactly as described. LifeAlert's dispatcher contacted emergency services, and paramedics were onsite in minutes. I received a notification call in both cases, keeping me informed. This service allows my parents to stay in their home, where they prefer to be. Worth every penny for peace of mind. Their website and ability to interact online (for billing changes, etc.) is a bit underwhelming.

We use Life Alert for my older mother who has some medical issues. Thank goodness she has not yet fallen and had to use it but she is seizure prone so she always wears it just in case. It certainly lifts a weight off of my shoulders to know that she can push that button if something happens and help will be on the way immediately. Thank you Life Alert for peace of mind. Life Alerts customer service was great when setting up my mothers system.

My mother has had Life Alert for 5 years. She is now 88 years old and has problems with balance. Because she has had both knees and both hips replaced, when she falls she is unable to get back up without assistance. I live an hour away. Life Alert has responded beautifully each time she has "fallen and can't get up". She highly recommends Life Alert to all of her friends and says it is a life saver. Life Alert means she can maintain her independence. It gives me (and my two siblings that live across the country) such peace of mind.

I love both of my Life Alert "buttons". I love the fact that they tell you to test your equipment once a month too. It is a little expensive, $69.95 a month, but so far not matter here I go, it has been there if I need it. I have found that it takes a few minutes to get a live person, and hope that if I can't talk, they will still send someone sent to find out what's wrong. I also like the fact that if I am on the road, they are suppose to be able to get help, that's why I chose them over the Guardian. Life Alert was the only one I found that had the "travelling pager" It's heavier like the old pagers as far as weight goes, but you can talk to it and get a response, and while it's expense, it's been worth it for my peace of mind.

Forced into long term contract with the inability to cancel other than nursing home or death. Service is over priced and mediocre. I didn’t provide a pin,so they called my friend and told her I had a heart attack, which caused her husband to race over here. So now none of my friends will believe you. Your call center people are assholes to do this. Disgusting company. I would have had immediate service if I dialed 911 myself. If I couldn’t speak they would have come anyway. With you, it appears if I can’t speak and my friends aren’t available minutes would be wasted. I just no longer trust you. I feel I have been taken advantage of at my weakest time.

The sign up was ridiculously long. No online option. It takes 3 phone calls to do. One to sign up - which is not quick. One to review everything discussed during the sign up and pay call. And a third to confirm with the shipping department. If you aren’t available for all of the 3 calls - your life alert doesn’t ship out - even if you requested $60 overnight shipping. I had to leave work to answer the call to ensure that my Mom’s life alert order would ship that day. Not good since I’m the one paying for it. Why do 3 different people need to speak & review with the customer? It is a labor intensive process for your company that if streamlined, could make you more $ and then possibly you could cut the cost to customers. I almost cancelled the whole thing and ordered her an Apple Watch with fall detection and user health info sharing - which I could order online in 2 minutes and then pick up and set it up all in the same day. Your company needs to make the process easier for the customer. This is a review of the sign up and purchase process only.
