Claims take to long to be handled. We had a leaking sink, it took 14 days to get a plumber out. Currently, the AC stopped working. It's been 10 days since I filed a claim and no one has come out. I wiyne looking for another home warranty

When smaller and non-emergency issues have occurred, HWA has been responsive and easy to work with. I've had claims on my dishwasher and garbage disposal for example. When the issue in question is more costly and urgent, however, they were horribly slow and non-responsive. My A/C went out in July in Arizona and it took 6 weeks for me to get the issue resolved and have A/C again. The costs I incurred in the meantime for alternate A/C sources and hotels far exceed any benefit I got from having a home warranty. It felt as if they were purposely dragging their feet and going slow knowing that I couldn't live without A/C and would just give up on them and buy one myself. It was literally a life or death situation and they couldn't be bothered.

I was disappointed with the the length of time it took to have intervention from a plumber. Our appointments set up by the warranty company were changed twice. Our plumbing issues got worse. We had no functioning bathroom for about 5-6 days. The plumber that came out could not do the work needed, so we were desperate and hired someone on our own. We had to also get restoration services since there was damage to dry wall, carpets and flooring. Nit happy at all!!

Have had this company for several years and we’ll they always have some way to charge more. This time I had a problem and they came out like thay say and I paid the service fee. But not I get email that I need to pay anothe fee becouse the furance has a warranty and they have to do the paper work for it $100.00 The company that installed the furance was sent by HWA a year ago and now will not service it so when it need work I called HWA and now have to pay more to get it repaired.

Home Warranty has been easy to contact and work with. We have had to wait for them to find a contracted servicer to come fix any problems, and communication has not always been clear. Overall we've been satisfied with Home Warranty of America.

It took almost a year to get my fridge fixed. They send 5 or 6 different companies out that all repeated the same repairs over and over again. I had my temp sensor and other things changed 5 times. When you call and you try to speak to a manager they will not connect you. The manager calls you back but in a way that your phone doesn't ring it. They just leave a voicemail and tell you to call back the main number. I tried speaking to a manager for 6 months and still haven't been able to do so.

After one call the claim was denied. I received an email to inform me of the decision which said was reached after speaking to the technician and to me. I had never spoken with anyone from the company and when I talked with the technician he said he never discussed the issue that was the basis of the decision. After a second call for another problem I was informed about the delay it would take to process the order. I wanted the order to go quickly to the technician I previously worked with and the customer service rep could not do anything to make that happen. I masked to speak to a manager and the rep was extremely rude. It led to me raising my voice (which I have never done to a rep in the past) and the rep continued to not provide an answer to my question. I hung up and called back, I spoke to someone who gave me incorrect information. I had to call again and finally spoke with someone who made an attempt to help me by checking the system, calling the technician and getting back to me (while I was on the line). So much unnecessary hassle

Of the service technicians that have been to the house, 2 are very good and 1 for the plumbing was not good at all. In fact I ended up having to get a plumber of my own to do the repairs and paying for it myself. I do pay a lot of money for this plan and it was very unfortunate that they did not provide me with someone that would do the repairs that were needed. They also take too long to get you the help that you need when you need it.

I had a great experience with my refrigerator being repaired and only costing $100 service fee by a good company. However, I dealt with a nightmare, and still dealing with it, for my AC to be partially replaced, costing me about $3200 out of pocket, 6 missed/ignored appointments, improper installation so voided warranty, damages to my ceiling/attic, and STILL not cooling properly.

I have no problem with HWA itself. They have been prompt responding to any home issues I have had. The last service provider who came , in my opinion, just put a bandaid on my furnace problem instead of replacing the part that was faulty. I expect I will need to call HWA in the near future for another repair call.

I had an active leak in my plumbing. None of their plumbers were able to service my home. I had two wait over two weeks before they would allow me to find my own plumber. Now I have more drywall, flooring and mold issues. Plus I have to wait 30 days to be reimbursed for my expenses. In addition, any time a technician accepts a job then cancels it, they get another week to find a new technician. No limit to the number of attempts.

The coverage is a blessing, and I have availed myself of it often. However, the amount of coverage is a bit of a ruse. Repair or replacement is the verbiage, but replacement is not actually what is done. They offer a set amount, knowing full well that not only is it not equally replacement, they amount is nowhere close to the cost to buy even the cheapest appliance.

We purchased a home warranty through home warranty of America because we were first time home buyers. With the premier plan, we were able to have multiple items maintenanced such as our sump pump and plumbing system. We pay less than $50 a month and it is a great investment. It’s always best to plan incase something were to happen and having a home warranty plan really eased our worries. The customer service is also very friendly and were able to send out a professional in a timely manner.
