Here’s another great Service of Home Warranty of America, has done for me my Garage Door Spring had broken and due to the heaviness of my double insulated door It would not open or be lifted up, contacted HWA, for service and they was able to get a service technician to my house the next day in order to get it open so I could get my car out of the garage and a week later due to the shipment of parts the technicians were able to repair it.

Home Warranty of America has been for me a reliable service. They have responded in a positive manner with each claim I have made. I do have to use their approved providers and have had one in particular that was not just bad but after coming to see the problem never showed up to do the work leaving me without use of my master bathroom for over 2 weeks. This I believe was an exception to the usual. Overall I’m extremely pleased.

We purchased a 7 yrs. old home and it was the best decision we made we had some issues with our washer machine and our A/C we place the claim online super easy between 24-48 hrs. we received confirmation of service, they arrived on time very professional, diligent and issues corrected. They refused to replace my dishwasher pump because the wheel on the tray was broken, so it's not covered. So I buy a new dishwasher, thanks to them. Now when our refrigerator needs to be replaced, it's been 3 weeks and still nothing in a poor company.

Then when your company decides to give me a third of what a new one cost but I reluctantly accept only to find out I now have to wait 30 days to get a Egift card at the most expensive place I've found to get the replacement.

I am 82 years old. The temperature outside was below zero and my heat went out. It took 7 days for hwa to get someone out to fix it. It took them less than 3o minutes but I had no heat the entire week. Terrible customer service also! It will not let me delete the word amazing - should be amazingly bad!

Home Warranty of America service is very slow. They do not accept priority or emergency calls. I had a hot water heater that went out and it was out for more than a week. I ended up having to purchase my own hot water heater and have it installed myself I will not be renewing, my service with Home Warranty of America when it expires.

They unfortunately take a really long time to find a technician to make it out to your home. They make good on their word to only charge you for the $100 service fee, but you just have to be prepared to wait 7-10 days after your appliance or whatever breaks until it gets fixed if you go through them.

My wife and I was not satisfied with the electricians sent to repair our light. They were unable to Fully able and troubleshoot the problem with the light switch. We ultimately contacted another electrician who was on time and repaired the light switch in 30 minutes. The electricians from “Doctors “ we fill is not competent nor reliable.. That is how we feel about the job being done, ok. It was not Amazing.

I had one experience that was good and one that was not. I had a stove/microwave combo and the microwave just quit and they couldn't get it fixed. So they paid me to get a new stove. They paid me the money to go get it myself, which I thought was great. Although, they made it in gift cards, which was kind of tough, but we made it work. But then when I had an air conditioner go out, they offered to pay for just a super tiny piece of it. And I'm actually in the air conditioning business and I wasn't able to really invoke the warranty the same way to try to utilize my own people or anybody. And I realized the price that they were giving me for that was not what I could get it for.

This home warranty policy is supposed to cover appliances in the home that break or fail. We've had two appliance repair companies make several trips to our home to figure out why the dishwasher leaks all over the floor during cycles, and no one has been able to figure it out. HWA refused to replace the machine. I'm now out $300 for service calls and the dishwasher still leaks. This is sub-standard service, far below what I expected. I will not be renewing the policy with this company, they don't stand behind their contract.
