I have had Choice 2x times, 1 at 4 years and 6 months bonus and another at another 3 years and 6 months and both times had coverage that more than paid what was covered for all the appliances and certain things that breakdown in the house from leakage of showers in the second floor to plumbing in the toilets and sinks, to most of my appliances that were fixed or if not, given a credit to purchase another appliance from clothes washers, to dishwasher to microwave. I highly recommend them. AC is not much coverage really under specific terms so I don't rely on them for that. They are a solid company and back up most coverages. Oh yes and I just change my failing garage opener that was covered. They also do coverage on the springs of the garage I hear if that ever fails.

I like them so much. The last appointment that I made was for a refrigerator malfunction. My refrigerator stopped working and with the gentleman who was supposed to come out, I had to cancel it because it was still under warranty with LG. He spent some time with me on the phone and he went through a whole bunch of things with me. He was very helpful without even coming out. I had to cancel the appointment, but he called anyway to make sure and was extremely informative. He also gave me a lot of good information about the actual LG refrigerator that I had. So I was impressed with the customer service I got.

My first claim was a disaster as they denied the claim a day before the service man was suppose to be here. Once I got this corrected after 3 phone calls. The service man was here on time and was very professional but had to go back to company if they would approve it. Came back after and got clock working but the main call for light staying on after you turn stove off was not done although this was what my original phone call was about. Will try again later to see if I can get this fixed. 2nd claim was quick and easy although he charged me for a new remote which I expected but he also charged me for the small wheel the cable for the garage door goes up and down on. Garage door is working beautifully and I am satisfied.

I was skeptical when choosing a home warranty company. I made sure to do my research and look at a number of first hand reviews. I eventually settled with Choice Home Warranty, and it ended up being one of the better decisions I made. I had to make my first claim not to long ago and it went extremely smooth. My furnace went out and it has been cold so definitely needed it back up and running. I did the claim online and at about 9 that night and I had an appointment scheduled around 4:45 that morning. The heating and air company they used came was very responsive and they came to diagnose the problem. They had to order a fan assembly for my furnace. They got to my house around 10 that morning and the claim was approved within a couple of hours. Soon as the part came in they came right on out to get us up and running. I will definitely be renewing my policy with Choice.

I had an excellent technician who fixed my heater by installing a new motor. I would use this man again. He was professional and knowledgeable. What I dont LIKE I filled out your survey and gave high ratings, but when i wrote my response there were not 50= words. It wouldnt let me submit it. It took much longer than the 2 minutes I finally said, " the hell with it" and didnt submit it because I couldn't until I wrote 50 words. That is not right. You should accept what people say and not put a limit on the number of words. I am angry about that and it will effect if I continue with Choice or not

I was very please with the service and quickness when I put a claim for service for one of the showers in my house that was not working . No hot water was coming out. I called 12/20/2023 and was told by the agent that I would be called within 24-48 hours from the business that would take my claim. That same night Oasis Plumbing & Drain Service, Inc., texted me that I was schedule for 12/22/2023 between 12:00pm and 4:00pm. I had a question and text Oasis plumbing. I was told that if they had a cancellation they could possibly be there today 10/21/2023, I told them it was okay on Friday, this was at 11:25am. I was surprised when I received a call at 3:28pm letting me know they were on their way if it was okay with me. I was and the technician that came was very professional, knowledgeable, fast and after he finished he left my bathroom as it was before, very clean. My shower works perfectly now.

I was shocked when my claim was denied to repair the broken handle of my refrigerator. This was definitely not caused by misuse! I paid $85 and nothing was done to fix it! I informed the person of the problem when I put in the claim over the phone. I wish they had told me that this wouldn’t be covered before I wasted $85!

It takes them forever to find a solution to a problem, procrastinating, giving a run a run with issues and telling me afterwards that it is my responsibility to order parts needed and the manufacturing companies do not sell parts to homeowners just to vendors. Very disappointing, the resolution manager's have a worst attitude than customer service staff. I will not be renewing my policy.

First two assigned techs were scheduled 6 and 8 days later instead of the 1-2 day turn around. Plus they were over 35 miles away from home instead of being closer. None of the first two techs returned my calls. Both were long distance calls. Customer service did not ask the make, model serial number of my GE dishwasher so the tech would know what he was dealing with. Luckily I contacted Nolan from Layer One Solutions explained the problem. Nolan was a first rate tech who explained the control panel problem.

I live in Alaska. In January I was on vocation and my garage had frozen pipes. Choice Home Warranty could not find a company in my area to fix the pipes so I had to have a company come from Anchorage and fix the frozen pipes that ended up bursting. Then the heater in the garage quit working. After fighting over the phone with Choice for several days they agreed to let me have the company that fixed the broken pipes fix the heater. This company was not on their list of companies that worked for them. Choice told me that they could not find a company that would respond to them asking for work needed done. I would not recommend this warranty company to anyone.

The first plumber you tried to set us up with told you from the beginning they were too far away. But you treated us like we had an appt. When they didn't show up we called and they told us what they told you. So we had to start over. The next one was far away too but they came out. You only paid for part and nothing else. So you got thousands of dollars but only paid $300. We will not be renewing.

When I first signed up for this program it was very different. I do not like how long it takes to get a claim assigned. I have one outstanding claim and I don't know what needs to be done to resolve it and my fridge is still broken. I am also upset that it states in the advertisements that they will "replace" the appliance if it is broken however what they will do is give you some amount that they feel that they can get your replacement appliance for and it is in no way an amount that you can get that appliance for. My washer died and was not able to be replaced it was top of the line and even had steam/sanitization setting on it but they gave me $470 dollars toward a new one. That did not in anyway pay for a new washer of equal type. That $470 was only after I argued that my washer was top of the line and had digital features etc. so they upgraded me to 470. Also what they fail to tell you is that when they give you the money it will be 25 days after you accept their offer and it will be given to you in some type of a e-voucher from Lowes. Now I don't know who they think wants to wait to get a washer that long but I have serious laundry to do. I was very unhappy with this situation I feel like they have misled the general public in regard to this.

Submitted two claims. One has been handled but the other one had to do with gas smell. First company refused to work with warranty and I wasn't notified by warranty company on why they hadn't showed up so I called servicer company and they said they notified you they would not be doing claim. A week later still no word on service so I just called local company to figure out gas smell and paid out of my pocket. I look at this as a failure for Choice Warranty and as a real estate agent I would not refer you.

The proper and most efficient fittings for repairing the plumbing leak were denied by Choice. I was quite disappointed a second rate method of repair was all CHW would approve. I paid the difference and this was after I had already paid the cost of a new water heater despite it being 18 years old and no longer acceptable to homeowner insurance carriers. I am searching for a different home warranty provider.

I had to file a claim for an ac repair. Due to the age of the unit it has to be completely replaced. Choice refused to cover the cost of the replacement and will not refund the money I paid for the warranty either. The company Choice sent said the replacement is strictly due to the fact that the parts for the unit aren't made anymore, but Choice claimed it was due to lack of maintenance on my part - which the technician said is NOT the case! I filed an appeal but was told their experts (in the appeals dept) "know what they are talking about". I have since had another company come out that agrred with the first tech - its not lack of maintenance, but the parts cant even be ordered anymore. I have filed a complaint with the state and contacted my local news. Would give zero stars if it were a possibility. DO NOT purchase a home warranty from Choice. It is a waste of money.

When I ask a question, I never get answers. I've been putting in and asking questions and I have not gotten an answer yet about my contract. I've used it once. Subsequently, the technician that responded ended up not being able to fix the stopper of our two year old commode and the only alternative was to purchase a new commode that we had to order and pick up from a local store to have them install. $750 later…

When I join this company I was happy until I needed help to repair my air condition, the contractor they sent out couldn't fix the problem, all he wanted to do was check the refrigerant he said that the company would pay for anything more. My sink was stopped up. The guy came in. He spent no time at all. He did something to the sink, and it was the same. It was exactly the same so I had to have someone else come because he couldn’t come back and had to pay for someone else, I requested my money back since it all happened within three days and they said no I didn’t get my I didn’t get any satisfaction from this guy and I wouldn’t let him come back anyway so I’m very disappointed that y’all took my $85 and wouldn’t give it back to me because it was no help at all and I had to pay twice because I had to pay someone else B

Tech came unprepared. We had sent make, model, serial. And problem ( timer won’t advance), first to Choice, then again to Sears home service at their request. Tech showed up with no info and no parts. Spent all morning trying to get his app to work. Then said was waiting on authorization. I finally called Choice and got the authorization number for him. Then wrote him his check for the call. He then told me he couldn’t return to replace the timer until March 27. This was in Feb 20. Half the day wasted and nothing done.
