Their customer support is usually pretty good, but the issue is that they said they cover the hot water heater. Well, my hot water heater went out, and the covered everything except the tank, and well, the tank is what went out. Besides that' they've replaced my A/C, and given me a small portion to cover buy a new refrigerator, considering mine was too old to repair.

My water heater wasn't working well, and the water heater company was going to replace it, however, they weren't going to pay for uninstalling it and replacing it. Choice Home Warranty pay for that. What I didn't like was that they don't cover electrical wiring. That was very disappointing for me because the whole point of the electrical system was the wiring. Besides that, I can say that their customer support is excellent.

It's been such a frustrating experience. Our dishwasher was broken for 3 months, and they had to send over a technician 8 different times, but couldn't fix it. Finally, the 2nd technician they sent refused to pay for the part that was broken, debating that they had invested too much in the dishwasher. We had to go around and around, negotiate, debate and argue with them to approve the part, which fixed the dishwasher immediately. Their customer service representatives can be very abrupt, and non-understanding at times. Also, they're not very technical, so you end up having to explain to them in laying in terms what needs to be fixed, in order to get it approved.

According to the internet, Choice Home Warranty was the number one extended warranty, so I went with them. I used them for the water heater, but they had a bunch of reasons why they couldn't cover that a 100%. They just cover a lot when they sell it to you, but when you call them, they end up saying that they don't cover that specific part. I'm not real happy about that.

Customer support has been very good and on time. They've also been very polite and excellent; I've had no problem with them, whatsoever. They do exactly what they say they're going to do. My garbage disposal wasn't working, and they had a man come over and fix it within an hour. He was just excellent! I've been trying to get my friends and everybody to use them. In fact, I have gotten several people to use them.

The cost to repair it would've been more than to buy a new one, so they just gave me the money to replace it. Their support representatives always get a hold of us to try to solve any problems we may have. I just think it's an excellent service.

I had a plumbing problem, and they told me they didn't cover the inserts of the faucets. I have a refrigerator problem, they said they didn't cover refrigerators. I had a hot water tank problem, they told me they didn't cover hot water tanks. It cost me an extra thousand dollars for that last one! On top of that, trying to get on the phone with one of their representatives was horrendous. It was just absolutely terrible.

The reason I went with Choice Home Warranty was because of their price. They are the lowest one I've ever used. I did have one particular incident, where my A/C stopped working in mid-July. The technician's diagnosis was that it was malfunctioning due to normal wear and tear, but Choice Home Warranty said that it was due to lack of maintenance. After many phone calls and hours on hold, our claim was denied, and considering it was over 100 degrees outside, we paid $3,000 out of our pocket to replace our A/C. The small claims are usually no problem, but overall, they're not there when I needed help. It's not right for someone to sit in an office hundreds of miles away, without looking at the unit, and say that it's not covered.

Overall, I think they're doing a good job with their customer satisfaction and speed of service. I've never had to wait more than a day to have a professional assigned to my case. They sent somebody over to fix my leaky toiler, but instead of fixing it, the technician wanted to sell me a brand new toilet. He only took a look at it once, and told me I needed a new one. I just got somebody else to come over, and they fixed it. They just haven't been very good.

Choice Home Warranty is full of surprises, I thought it would be a good company. My electric-fan went out, and I call them and they said it wasn't covered. Then my faucet went out, and I called them and they said it's not covered. Finally, our A/C unit went out, so I call them and they said it's not covered, so what's the point? Every time I call, there's always something wrong on my end. They say it's not covered due to many factors. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. I already cancelled it.

It's been 6 months since I used it, but they sent somebody out within a short period of time to fix my refrigerator. He called, made an appointment, repaired it, and went away just like that! I just think they should stop sending me emails asking me if I'd like to buy Choice Home Warranty, since I bought one till 2020. I haven't used it very often but when I did it seems to be not too slow, it seem to be fast enough to get the job done.

I chose to go with them after a friend told me about it. Customer support is good; they send people out to check on stuff and everything, but I don't think they live up to what they say. They say that if something goes wrong that they'll replace it but that hasn't happened. I needed to use my warranty for my stove top and they couldn't do it. It was an older stove top and they couldn't find the serial number or anything on it, so they said that they would have to replace it. But, they didn't replace it; they just sent me some money to try to cover it. A new stove top costs around $800, and all they sent me was about $230. That's not what they say in the warranty; they say we'll replace it if they can't find it or fix it; and that wasn't replacing to me.

I had to use my warranty when my washing machine broke. It was recommended by my daughter, and the customer support staff were easy to contact, and the person that they chose to come out to work on my washing machine did come, but I was still having problems with my washing machine and he told me, and I quote, that "Choice Home warranty does not pay." He was not gonna come back and finish my washing machine. Everyone I've had come work on my air-conditioner as well told me the same thing; that Choice Home warranty does not pay, and they will not come back out to my house to service any of my appliances. In other words, Choice Home Warranty is a bad thing that I took.

I had a bad experience every time I would call, for any items that were definitely covered in my contract, whether it was plumbing or an appliance; I was never satisfied. I originally went with them because of the premium receipt, but they will, in fact, not pay for your items. There is a problem trying to get them to be able to put the claim in, and they find ways to not pay it. Don't use them.

On the telephone they're real nice, but when it comes to action they're a little rough. The 3 or 4 times that I've used them, I've had to wait 4 or 5 days just to get the contractor to come to service what I needed, every time. Once the contractor finally arrived after 4 or 5 days, they completed the job. I went with them because the other company I had sucked.

I've been very unhappy with Choice Home Warranty. The price appears to be reasonable compared to others that I've looked at, but I don't feel that they live up to the contract, but rather try to find the way not to cover what they state in their contracts. So, I'm not happy with them at all. My AC service didn't work so I called Choice, they sent someone out. They were there a couple of minutes, came back, and told me that yeah, it wasn't working, it was an old unit that needed to be replaced. But they didn't give me a receipt, they told me they will email me a receipt. I never got it. 15 minutes later Choice called me with something totally different from what the service people were saying, just something so they wouldn't have to cover it, so I'm writing a letter every week to insurance commissioners and anyone I could think of to let them know what type of service I've gotten and what I think of their company.

I chose them because my son had it in California. He mentioned that he was at a good warranty company so we went with them, and we've had good experience with them. We've just had a couple of claims during the year, and it was very efficient and we were very well taken care of; no problems. I've made a couple of claims. They were very prompt, they had responded properly, they contacted the agent or a technician in ample time and everything worked out fine — a good experience. Customer support was excellent. They were prompt, they were efficient, I have no problems with them what so ever. My warranty is about to expire next month so I need to renew it so I know we'll renew it with them.

I have had some good experiences and some bad ones. I needed the air-conditioner fixed and I called them and they put the order in over the weekend. Then I called them on Monday during business hours and they didn't even have a record of me calling in, so that was upsetting. I used it again for different things, and they were pretty good about coming out, but when I was having them fix a dishwasher, they said they didn't cover the door, so that was kind of odd. The other things they did, they did a good job on. The microwave and the refrigerator they fixed; they did their job and everything. That was great, so overall I have mixed emotions. It seems they have the best price, though.

I chose them because I just felt like it would be something that I needed. I've always been satisfied; it has always been taken care of every time that I've ever needed them, however, it did take a few days for my service man to get back with me once they came out here. They took about 3 or 4 days before I actually got an answer as to whether or not they were going to repair my items. It was the second time that my washing machine had gone out and they didn't want to repair it because they felt like they had once repaired it before, and it was too costly for the company to repair it.

I called on Memorial Day weekend about my stove, and they were very prompts, although it was a holiday. I didn't think anybody would call me back, but they called within minutes, and gave me the name of the person who would be calling me.
