We’ve been without air-conditioning three weeks because Choice said they couldn’t find a part. Their service are really bad. You call and can’t even reach a person and they don’t return emails. I had a quote manager taking care of my case because of the issues. I am sure they have some good parts, I just have no idea what they are.

- I opened a claim for a broken AC on Sunday (06/28/2020) - I received an e-mail giving me the authorization to find a contractor because Choice Home Warranty could not find a contractor. - In the e-mail, there was a link to select the option of hiring a contractor "called the reimbursement option: I pay the contractor, and they reimburse later" on my own but the link was broken. - I found a contractor and at 8:00 AM Monday Morning, we called them to obtain their approval, and that is when they said they found a contractor themselves that will come on Tuesday. - I refused because (1) that will be 2 nights of sleeping without AC, when the temperature was 95, with 3 little children including a 1-month old, (2) they already authorized me for the authorization option, (3) the contractor I found was able to fix it the same day. -Despite numerous calls, they refused to authorize that contractor and wanted me to wait for theirs to come the next day. -I then decided to go for the contractor I found, fixed the AC the same day, and saved my 1-month old baby.

This claim, things went pretty smooth. Response time, to schedule a technician was a little long. 4 days without A/C in Texas, is very long, especially when you work from home.

Stay away. They take your money and determine what they want. Never came out to inspect but said I had a pre existing condition because my appliance was old. The technician even told them it was leaking so it had to be working but they have the right to deny and they will. Beware!

I had to pay $300 for a water heater. I called in the claim Saturday and here it it's Friday afternoon and it's still not replaced. Terrible warranty!

My mother, a senior citizen, has been waiting 15 days in 98 degree weather for the supplier Choice Warranty contracted to repair the motor on our air conditioner. I have called 5 times in 16 days. I have spoken with the supervisors of people who answer the call and got Diane, a supervisor to call me. She could not determine where the motor was but assured me she would find out and call me back. Three days later, I haven't heard from her so I called to follow up and a request was made for her to call me and I still haven't heard. When someone gives you their word they are calling you back and they don't, it makes you lose confidence in them. Don't have a motor, they won't answer the technician's phone calls although they do respond to him via email. He has no idea where the part is and neither does Choice Warranty. I guess I won't be renewing my insurance with them afterall.

I just purchased a house and was told it had a home warranty. 3 months into me owning the house the AC went out. I have a 2 month old who is getting a heat rash from no AC. After spending the mo year to have people look at it and then they sent someone out, had to pay for them as well, they said it was normal wear and tear and they don’t cover that. I have been fighting with them for 10 days. It has been up to 90 degrees I. My house. So now I have to find someone to help get a new unit for my house. I will not recommend this company to my worse enemy. They find any little thing they can to say it is not covered so the owner pays for it. What is the point of home warranty if the owner still ends up paying for it but wasted over a week to get the final answer.

This is a terrible company to try to work with. They are very nice and easy to reach until they get your money. Then they find any reason they can not fix the appliance or pay a claim. The tell you they'll send a tech, then don't. They say get your own and we'll reimburse the claim. Then they insist on you entering information in THEIR system but won'allow it. There is no one you can call. They will not give you a phone number for authorization, that won't call you. They are a rip off. Sears was a 100% better company.

Was convinced to switch my six homes from American Home Shield to Choice Home Warranty. A big factor was the $60 deductible rather than AHS's $90 - some times a claim is excluded and I just lose the deductible so that's important. Responses and repair schedulings have been faster - nice work! Some items have too many exclusions: for example faucets are an integral part of a home and should be covered Would prefer when an appliance is toast to have the replacement taken care of rather than a buy out where I have to get involved. I want the warranty to save me time. Your agents are always professional and helpful. Online is the way to go - I have used that quite successfully and try not to call and increase your staff needs whenever I can.

I called for AC service. I’m out of refrigerant and being that my units are under a bunch of trees I most likely need it cleaned as well. Did they cover it? No! Why? I’ve been with CHW for years. I’m not happy right now

I had the warranty for 6 weeks. Ac started to not cool upstairs. Tech came out and was very nice. Warranty company won’t pay for repair claiming it falls under preconditions❗️It’s amazing that they pick and choose what they want to pay even small repairs like mine❗️I will not recommend this company to anybody❗️I can only imagine what they do on a big repair request❗️Do not buy a warranty from Choice because they will use any excuse to not pay for it❗️Eddie T
