Very upset at this time. AC went out last week and still trying to get it fixed. The guy Choice sent, R&B Cooling said that my AC wasn't low on freon, the coil was dirty. Yesterday I had another AC guy look at it. He said the coil was not dirty, there was a lot of oil at the bottom. The AC was completely out of freon. Something was cracked and I need a new unit. It will cost me $5000 - 6000. I called R&B several times, asking for a quote from him and he has never returned my call.

I placed a claim in early May 2024 about a leaking AC system. The people came out and got the drain unplugged but after a few days the unit started leaking inside the house again. I notified your company on the follow up about the service and you stated that someone would come out to check it on 5/27/2024. It is now 6/18/2024 and I still have NOT heard anything back from you and the unit still leaks on hot days when the unit runs constantly.

The service company Choice appointed to fix my AC has no call-no showed three times, and followed by rescheduled appointments. I notified Choice Home Warranty of the issue who then contacted Quickstop. The Choice representative was told there was a confirmed appointment on Sunday the 16th. I never agreed or confirmed this date. In fact, both Quickstop and the Choice rep was told there would not be anyone home on that day. The choice rep then told me if I have a problem it needs to be brought up with the technicians. The choice rep I spoke with has done nothing to resolve or expedite the claim. Neither Choice nor Quickstop appear to care are about their customers. I would give a 0 star rating to both if it was possible.

Customer service is very poor - each ticket is addressed as how quickly can it be closed and checked off without considering the customer experience or message content. There is little escalation path and I’ve had experiences drag on for over six months. Usually the process is relatively seamless for standard situations but 2-3 different experiences left a terrible taste in my mouth.

Have had difficulty getting service done and there is a huge disconnect between CHW and the repair person. I called about this issue three times and CHW reps are telling me its my job to call the Tech back and advise him the work was approved. He calls me back and says CHW will not approve the repair and as of today several months later the work still has not been done and it is CLEARLY stated in my plan this part is covered by my warranty. I am the customer it is NOT my job to be calling technicians and making things right, this is what I pay CHW for.

If I could give zero stats I would. By far the worst home warranty company I have ever had the displeasure to work with. Their customer service reps haven't a clue what they are talking about and will straight up lie to you rather than trying to get actual factual information. The final straw was when my dishwasher went out, the technician sent them what was wrong, Choice decided on replacement, which was a 240 gift card to Lowes. Which barely covered the cost of installation, nevermind the actual cost of the dishwasher. All I can say is read ALL the fine print because they will try to screw you at every turn.

Communication can be a bit confusing phone call text msgs e mails. I prefer 1 sorce of communication. The tech was knowledgeable and to the point. It took 2 house calls and numerous calls to get my ice maker repaired after 1 month of down time it appears the ice dispenser is working. Shout out to Robert.

In all honesty , I haven’t had them very long but, so far, I am not impressed. It is very difficult to get in touch with a real person who is usually very difficult to understand. In general, the response times from the contractors has been way too long, sometimes up to as much as five days. The contractors I’ve dealt with have been, with one exception, sub-par. On one occasion, I was charged an extra $450 because of some minuscule fine print in an unrelated part of the contract. I must say, even though I eventually fired my previous Home Warranty company, that never happened with them. I really had no choice but to pay since it involved a water leak. Overall, I am having second thoughts about Choice home warranty.

The technician was not friendly, he was almost rude. He did additional damage to my washer that was not damaged before. He said he had to order parts for the washer. A week later he came back with the new parts and installed them. After he left I tried to use the washer and it would operate the way it used to. You have to restart it several times before it would get enough water to wash a load of clothes. and it stops after the first spin cycle. You have to open the washer door for approximately a minute and after you close it it completes the last spin cycle

Last Sommer I had issues with my AC. We had record heat. I waited 3 weeks, they couldn’t find nobody that was willing to work with them. Ended up paying it myself and they paid me back. This time it was my garage door opener and had no problems. It was done in 4 days.

He informed me that it was written in the contract fine print I would have to pay him $600 to replace the water heater should it need to be in the future. I called Choice and was told this is not accurate. I feel like I would be scammed by Tom if the water heater were to be replaced.

Takes too long to get a technician out every time I’ve had to do a claim. Usually have to wait anywhere from 3-5 days just to get someone to come out. Hard not having Air Conditioniner or working washer dryer for that long. Then they come out and usually say it will be between 5-7 days before the parts come in. So ur without ur household working items from 1-2 weeks. Wish they got out faster.

Policy states it covers ductwork and I pay additional for roofrepairs. Choice denied my claim to repair a roof leak and recently denied a claim to repair/replace ductwork damaged from normal wear and tear: stating it wasn't normal wear, which it definitely was do to age and normal wear from condensation of the HVAC unit itself.

Summer is definitely here. My main floor air quit cooling during the night of 6/29. I came home from work at 11:00am and it was 83 inside. I put in a claim at 12:14pm and made plans with the wife to move to a different part of the house until the air was fixed. AT 1:16pm I received a call from the Technician and I was back cooling by 3:00pm!!!👍

We have had two claims and both excellent. The first took a little time to connect because of a weekend; however, the second call we had an appointment scheduled by the second day. Communication via email was excellent; provider arrived within stated window and completed the repair completely. Personal and professional. I was skeptical about accepting whoever they sent, but in both situations we were well pleased. In both cases the $65 fee was very reasonable for the service call and all other costs were covered. We are very pleased with this warranty.

There is little feedback by the Service Repair person. I had to make several attempts to contact him via text and phone calls before he gave me an update. The equipment is a Hybrid Water Heater system and the system have been working as an electric water heater. The blower mechanism needs to be replace and the part has been on order for close to three weeks. The repair person mentioned that in his experience that the electric portion of the water heater normally breaks down about a year after the blower breaks. He claimed that he recommend to replace the entire unit but Choice Home Warranty only approved the replacement of the blower. So I forsee that the system will break, I will have to file another claim (time), will have to pay another $100 (deductible) and wait a long time before the unit is replaced. Not the best results thus far. But I must way that Choice Home Warranty does respond quickly not like my previous home warranty provider. Choice Home Warranty should implement a follow up system to monitor claims and follow up with the provider instead of having the customer follow up. Kent

Rules, options, and process is upfront. There is follow-through and they pay/reimburse within six weeks. The problem is the length of time to get something fixed. We live in a rural area with few known repair techs, and even fewer service companies who will jump through the home warranty hoops. You (the homeowner) will have to submit the service quote online with the tech standing beside you. (The techs don't have time to do this, but you will not be reimbursed for that $1800 water heater replacement that you promised the tech you would pay out of pocket!) Each household item has its own reimbursement value, so don't be surprised if it's lower than today's actual cost. Other than a long process, and having to do the electronic claims work yourself, it works.

The home warranty process only works if the warranty company provides their share of the bargain. Availability of service providers is a huge issue. We've had some seamless experiences which were great. However recent needs of plumbing and appliance servicing have been very frustrating. We were 3.5 weeks without a refrigerator in our kitchen due to scheduling a provider which we ended up having to secure ourselves. When he arrived, he had to fill out paperwork to validate the issue and estimated cost for repair. When the repair was done, the labor ended up being higher than what Choice said they would pay so we ended up paying more out-of-pocket than the contracted Choice fee of $65.00. For plumbing, a provider showed up for a recent stoppage that didn't have the equipment to provide the service, so another plumber had to be called. Through exposure to plumbers for several issues, we have learned that the process wasn't just complicated for the homeowner, but also the provider. We've had recommendations for other warranty companies that they prefer because it isn't as complicated on their end as Choice. Our contract is nearing expiration, and we are looking for another provider

I have good experience with two of my three clams. One is microwave replacement and the other is fixing a problem with one of my AC units. But I had a bad experience with one of the claims, that is leaked coil of an AC system. The problem was not fixed and ball was kicking back and forth between customer service and service company. I ended up calling on a different company to replace the unit with my own money. It was ver disappointing.
