I need a new water heater and it cost me $75 for a guy to come look at it and then they wanted $1000 to replace it. So I couldn't understand what a warranty means. So I canceled my warranty. The first guy that showed up was fine, but very slow. Find another company. I got no service out of anybody.

Not happy with their handling of a/c repairs…during the hottest summer days with a failing a/c, they insisted on requesting more and more evidence of faulty parts while our family was suffering with the heat. I finally asked the repairman for a new system, so that we could avoid further issues. They do not consider the customer’s overall health nor the possible effects of their irresponsibility. They want to avoid large expenses. In the meantime, the customer suffers!!!!!

Poor customer service! Called in 2 related plumbing issues and rather than bundle them together had to double pay the same plumber since they wrote them up separately! Also not happy with sending me emails, two separate ones indicating that my claims was cancelled for not being available at the appointed time when we were there but no one showed up! Really!

It took weeks to get the repair scheduled on our swamp cooler-fortunately we were still able to use it during that time since we were having record high temperatures. Once scheduled, the repair person, Cody, was very friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and professional and took care of the problem for us.

I have had Choice Home Warranty for many years with over 10 properties. They used to cover the claims with ease. Somehow the last 2 years, 9 out of 10 claims had been denied. The only time it was approved, it only covered a small portion of the entire cost. I have had the same plan coverage since day one and those denied claims were the same type of claims they used to approve before. Now they just go out of their way to deny everything. I wouldn't recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone.

Had to pay for my air conditioner to be replaced in AZ when I had Choice Warranty there. They took too long to get a HVAC person when the heat was 115. My renter was threatening to turn me into AZ Elder abuse. I would not recommend Choice Warranty to anyone.

Reviewers are inaccurate. Claim for covered roof leak was initially closed because it was "not covered". Messaged in customer portal that it is covered but reply reiterated it is nkt covered. I had to make several phone calls to get to talk to a person who investigated and reopened the claim because service agreement shows coverage. Now still waiting for a contractor to get assigned for a leaking roof. It has been weeks and I am still waiting for a contractor to get assigned.

I was very satisfied with my service until this most recent appt. The sears tech never showed up, I called both choice and sears with promises he was on his way. Two days he was supposed to show up and nothing no calls nothing. Called the next day and they were sending it to another tech. Here it is 8 days after the first phone call and still no tech. I have referred this company to so many people and won’t be doing that any more.

Terrible. Service man came out in August, it took months to get the conclusion that they can’t fix my 40” professional series stove/oven Everything works but the display is so faint you can barely read the clock and temperature display. They’re offering pocket change vs the price of this stove and they’re listing it as a cooktop instead of a 40” professional series stove oven combo. This is my first and only claim…STAY AWAY!

Choice limited my pool pump option to a low priced pump which evidently was not available for purchase. As a result of the $1,005 maximum I had to pay an additional &$1,266 for an adequate pump replacement that meets regulatory requirements. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

No concern at all for how long a repair takes. Last appointment was cancelled by them after we were at home all day (our window was 7am-4pm) because their technician was running behind. We received notice at 7:30 that night that he was not coming and were rescheduled for 2 weeks later! I sent customer service a message about that seaming unfair and was told there was nothing that could be done.

THE TRUE ITEM THAT ARE FIX, FOR PLUMBIND THEY DO DON'T FIX WHAT THEY CALL SECONDARY DAMAGE, (iF YOU HAVE A LEAK IN PLUMBING AND IT DAMAGE THE WALLS, THEY WILL FIX THE PLUMBING BUT NOT THE HOLE IN THE WALL. IN PLUMBING ALSO UNDER MY KITCHEN THEY ONLY FIX WHAT THEY CALL THE U JOINT AND WILL NT REPLACE THE OTHERE PARTS. THEY SADY THIS IS HIDDEN IN THE CONTRACT. Very disappointed to learn that my second refrigerator and freezer were not covered under the warranty because I was told all appliances would be covered when I purchased the warranty. This is not my first disappointment in that response was slow to get service for my air conditioning unit which failed on the Labor Day weekend. In fact, the first repairman who arrived was totally incompetent and sold us, probably unnecessarily, freon for the system and was trying to sell us another control unit. The second repairman realized it was a burned wire and had it fixed in 15 minuutes.

Choice do whatever the can not to cover an issue. The have sent out companies that was not knowledgeable of the issue at hand and they have deny to fix stuff that my policy clearly states that it’s covers. I have even been advised by choice customer service to put in a claim for something being told that it was covered and then after paying my $75 to the company I was told it wasn’t covered.
