Choice HOme Warranty does not pay on a lot of things. I pay $55.00 amonth and when I put in a claim, when the person comes out to review the matter, I have to pay them $75.00, then CHW want pay for the repair. I can save by not having a home warranty and the $75.00 I have to pay the repair person and pay for it myself. Our I guess you call it pressure pump on the Swim pool, needed repaired, CHW called handyman, that doesn't know crock about a pool, instead of a pool person and the Handyman sent back a repair that it had been tampered with and CHW wouldn't pay for it. The pool pump had not been tampered with. That is how stupid CHW are. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Your company is an absolutely Total Scam, Fraud and everything else in between... I purchased a 3 yr Home warranty in October 2024 and had an issue with my A/C on this past 4th of July weekend (2025). Fortunately I have a Window and a Mobile A/C unit as I didn't expect Choice Home Warranty to come out that weekend. A few days later they sent a rep from SEARS to take a look at my outdoor unit where, according to CHOICE, he reported Dirt and Debris caused the compressor to fail, therefore they declined coverage, I think they also mentioned lack of tuneups as well, which I have my Unit services 2x yr (I have the receipts). When I finally spoke to a Representative named Andrea, she reconfirmed that you were Not going to cover the compressor but they may be able to supplement the replacement cost, so she asked me to secure a quote for her review. This request kinda sounded fishy so I called an A/C acquaintance of mine to come take a look. 1st of all the compressor is a self-contained unit without External fans, vents etc, there is literally No amount of Debris that would cause a failure (unless the entire housing unit was full of dirt I suppose). 2nd, he found the problem was that the Power Plug to the compressor shorted out which could Not have been caused by Dirt and Debris because it had a cover?!?! I called yet another A/C guy just to verify, sent him pics and he also told me that this was a common failure with this specific type of compressor. I do have pictures by the way!!! To add insult to injury Choice sent me an email today 7/15/2025 telling me that they are cancelling my contract and sending me a Prorated refund. Your company SCAMS people, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves because I was actually referred to you by my Neighbor!! I should have checked your Google Reviews first, which were Horrible by the way!

I filed a claim for my AC 27 days ago. 20 days ago they approved a replacement was needed and provided me my cost. I agreed to pay. I was supposed to get the new unit 13 days ago, and paid my portion 2 days before that. The unit ordered by Choice was not available when the contractor went to pick it up (it was an outdated model). It took another 5 days for Choice to order another unit to be ready 6 days ago. However the unit was not there at the supplier again 6 days ago. It was not there 5 days ago either. It was finally there 4 days ago and was installed that day. However the new unit cooled my house from bear 100 degrees to around 90 degrees. I added to the claim about this 2 days ago. A tech came out yesterday and made some adjustments but it was still not cooling lower than 90 degrees, so they checked the refrigerant level and it was a little low (this is supposed to be a brand new unit by the way). Unfortunately the new refrigerant (R484B) is hard to find so now I’m without AC again until they can get some and SEE if that helps (unable to run the unit to avoid any damage). I have been without AC now for 27 days in Phoenix AZ with record breaking heat wave temperatures and there is no end in sight yet. Choice has been very hard to deal with. When I tried calling after the first unit was not available, the call kept failing (I tried customer service and the sales numbers). All messages posted in my claim online by me and by Choice disappear. Only the approval message from 20 days ago remains. Sometimes their response is sent by email but not always.

Warranty seems OK except there are hidden fees with every call. A replacement water heater cost an extra $300 to replace. When asked what was the extra charge for, the answer was a fee to get rid of the water heater. That seems a bit expensive. I could have brought it to the junk yard for free. If this keeps up, I will not renew.

My ONE and ONLY claim was handled so poorly, that I decided to just hire a company myself to have my HVAC system repaired. I was canceled on twice by the two lousy companies that you were going to send to my home, and all after I took two days off work to be available to meet them! When I called the 800 number to see why it would take so long to get someone to my home to fix the problem, your people told me that all of the repair places were too busy and couldn't get out to my home before 2 weeks. I called at least 5 places and each and every one of them said that they could be there within 24 hours! Including Sears Home Repair, which was the company that said they were assigned to my repair! If you expect people to sign up with your company and keep renewing their policy every year, you need to make a better effort than this and you need to align yourselves with better more reliable companies than the ones you have now. I will not be renewing my policy. I have two months left on my policy and my dishwasher has quit working, but I will call a company myself or just go buy a new one. And I have told everyone I know how poorly I have been treated and am looking into writing a letter to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for nothing, except spending nearly a thousand dollars to receive nothing in return.

Unfortunately, I had to update my review from 5 months ago. There are two stars instead one 1 only because Choice Home Warranty does reply to outreach in a VERY timely manner. However, that does not change the fact that who they contract to work are not trustworthy or professional individuals / companies. It's been nearly two whole months and my claim has not been settled. This is due to no-shows from the technicians they contract with and one even lied and said that I missed the appointment. Meanwhile, they never showed up.

My LG refrigerator started making noise. I placed a ticket on Monday, got a person assigned in less than an hour. The service person came the next day and replaced the faulty part. This was the best service call I have ever received and my first for Choice Home Warranty since switching from another company.

This would have been a 5 but the replacement program is terrible. My dishwasher was deemed unable to be repaired by repairman who was great. However I was only offered $272 for a full replacement based on how they calculate. It was $1200 new with install. I could get an equivalent replacement for $1000 but they would not budge off the $272. No mention of depreciation by customer service. Only keep saying based on size, options etc. Regardless of what I showed them. I challenge anyone to find a replacement dishwasher with the options of a Kenmore Elite for $272, Read small print very carefully for replacement option.

I bought a policy because our 2010 house had original appliances when we bought it in 2020. This year, the refrigerator finally died and was so old parts are no longer available. CHW offered me a fair amount to enable me to replace the failed unit.

I really can’t give a thumbs up because I have been without my refrigerator almost 3 weeks. All my food went bad and I’m struggling to keep medication that goes in the refrigerator acceptable to use. I have used Choice twice now: 1. Dishwasher - It took 5 visits to get the dishwasher fixed. I was not happy with the service organization chosen by Choice to fix it. It took an inordinate amount of time to fix a problem that should have taken two visits at the most. 2. Electrical Problem - This service organization was superb! They were prompt knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. I thoroughly found them a pleasure to deal with. Definitely would recommend them.

My spouse and I are very disappointed with choice. They denied a claim for a leaking facet that became difficult to turn off or on advising that it was not normal wear. When we asked for the account to be closed as this was not the 1st denial they agreed to cover the cost of the repairs but advised because tge claim has been originally denied we'd need to pay the technician the fee for coming out again, so we were charged 3 fees due to the denial, 2 fees for the technician to come out and the technician charged a $55 trip fee to come out to do the repairs which he claimed he would not have charged if the claim had not been originally declined.

The plumber was not professional or pleasant he got the job done but his attitude was below standard I would not want him again.. he didn’t even introduce himself and was supposed to send me a receipt and he never did this was on July 1 at 11:30 am..

I put in a claim for my oven and the company you chose never showed up. I canceled the claim and I'm canceling my contract. I have been without an oven for over 2 weeks and have called a repair man to fix it. You replaced my water heater and the tech you sent was great. Not so with Titan Appliance. They informed me that I was out of their area. I initially was scheduled for 6/26. Then they changed it to 7/2. I called Titan and Sammi scheduled me for 6/29. The tech never showed up and I called around 2. He called me back and said he was sorry he hadn't called and there was no reason for him to come out. I have spoken to Sammi a number of times; she was very helpful at first. I received an email from Choice yesterday 7/1 advising me that Titan would be out on 6//29 between 11 & 3 on 6/29 between 11 and 3. I am very disappointed with this service and I want my contract cancelled. I have called Choice numerous times and always get a recording -I want to speak to someone.

In the past I have not had assistance getting claims approved and processed. Multiple occasions where my claim was rejected. My house is in a very rural area and there are no service companies that will work with your product because of your low payment. I have to get service and then get reimbursed, and I never get the full amount back. My latest claim the check has been lost in the mail for 6 weeks and I cannot get Choice to reissue.

While the service is convenient, when submitting a claim the company lacks the ability to convey the status of the technician from start to finish. I made a claim, paid my deductible and then the appointment that was set was cancelled. I called and called the office trying to get in touch with someone with no luck. Then a week later I get a text message out of the blue from a technician saying they would be at my house the next day. Horrible communication. Raggedy communication.
