Let me start by saying I've filed twelve claims with Choice. All the assigned techs were professional and did fantastic jobs. That's the ONLY REASON for a 3-star rating. On 5-17-23 a claim was filed for pool services; I paid $15/month extra for this add on. A pool technician WAS NEVER dispatched. My contract ended 5-26-23. Choice offered the opportunity to find my own technician; 1) I hired Choice for that job 2) after reading negative reviews from people who did accept that offer, I declined it. Fifteen dollars monthly for 12 months is $180 for a service I never received. I requested a $180 refund. Of course I was told a refund would not be forthcoming. Next....Choice does not replace items that cannot be repaired, but instead offers a discount for the replacement item in the form of a Lowes gift certificate. My stove went out and Choice offered me a $339 gift certificate. My dishwasher went out....another lowball Lowes gift certificate offer. Lowes is your only choice if your appliance needs replacing. Lowes by the way STINKS...but that's another story for another day. I requested an increase of the $339 gift certificate. There's NO WAY I could have bought a new oven from Lowes (unless it was an Easy Bake oven) or anyplace else for that matter for $339. My request was denied. Therefore I am stuck using Lowes $339 discount gift certificate. I only hope the gift certificate is still good! In conclusion, 1) they never sent a pool tech (subtract 1 star) and 2) their replacement value for items is ridiculous (subtract 1 star). Choice Home Warranty is okay...provided you don't mind shopping at Lowes (BIG YUK) and can deal with discounts in the form of a Lowes (low ball) gift certificate offered for replacement items.

I have been a customer of many home warranties and they are all pretty shady based on my personal experience. First off, I will never ever sign up for any prepaid plan, even an annual plan. The worst of them all was Choice Home Warranty. I am new to Choice Home Warranty which is why I am a bit overcautious. While it is not my intent to file claims left and right, but when something breaks down you want them to have your back, so we shall see.

I have used Choice Home Warranty for almost 31/2 years. My husband was a Veteran so we were given a special rate for our initial service. However, I have paid over the $ 65.00 service fee several times, which I thought was unethical. My contract is close to expiring, and I am thinking of not renewing. It is unfortunate that some service companies have not adhered to the initial contract which is very appealing. Please call me if you would like to discuss my dissatisfaction and reason why some companies are charging more for their service than other companies. It is a way to submit a claim. The communication from Choice and the contractors is excellent. I always receive a service call quicker than if I were to call and schedule an appointment myself. I feel comfortable knowing that it will be done right. Choice takes the stress out of the equation when things go wrong.

Fast response from vendors doing jobs at our home. I was disappointed with not covering short circuit in garage because it was not regular wear and tear. Had to pay a private contractor close to a thousand dollars to repair. I paid up front three years of warranty and I am questioning weather that was the right thing to do.

Over all Choices customer service is excellent, and the service providers gave been exceptional..it's the one bad experience that leaves a bad taste..what I believed was a reputable appliance repair provider (Sears) has turned out to be a nightmare..we have been almost 20 days waiting for them to advise Choice that the refrigerator cannot be repaired..Choice has provided a solution, but it involves getting another technician and another diagnosis and probably another 10 days..even if we get approved for a replacement it will take time to order and receive it..one bad service provider is all it took

I had a problem with my refrigerator and everything in the freezer defrosted. Choice was very prompt in scheduling a service tech to come out. The problem was the scheduled time to come was seven days and everything in the refrigerator had to be thrown out. When I asked if they could expedite the call I was told that was the best time frame they were able to get. That was the bad. The good was that the tech came as he said he would and was very knowledgeable. It was a bad compressor and he had one in his vehicle and was able to replace the old one. He did a great job and the refrigerator works great.

Over the entire entire time I've had choice I have only had one or two issues, but generally pretty good overall. My air conditioner wasn't working. I had had maintenance done on it the week before and put in. Guy came within two days, and it was a very quick turnaround. Had the parts on his car and got it fixed in his truck. Overall it's been really good. It was just one technician that was not good.

Customer service is excellent. They immediately take the calls and immediately respond to the issues on hand. I had a garage issue and it was quickly fixed. I got the appointment and everything was very good. Another issue is the A/C and there is a problem with the the company which is providing service, not the Choice Home Warranty. The the vendor who is doing the work for a Choice Warranty, I did not see a good service from them.

I've been really pleased. I did a claim on Saturday night online and by Sunday morning I already got some correspondence saying they were going to come in on Monday. They responded on the weekend. Twice they came and they weren't there more than a few minutes and they took care of both things.

For the most part they've been great. Sometimes they don't cover what I think they should cover. I suppose if I did more research on the policy, I would have known that before I called. They've been great though. We had a refrigerator issue. There was a there was a leak in the line that goes to the ice maker. We knew the leak was coming from the refrigerator but didn't know where. So we called and they came and they replaced that little tiny line that goes to the ice maker and repaired it. They did an excellent job.

I have used Choice twice, my first experience was not very good. I called them for a water leak near the water meter, which was explained to the automated call (even though I preferred to speak with a human). The bottom line is I spent $75.00 for a plumbing service to park in my driveway and leave. My second call for a dishwasher not working was outstanding, the appointment was made, the technician communicated, arrived and repaired the dishwasher without a problem. Very professional.

Great coverage. The warranty itself I think is great with the coverage and everything. The first experience was great. I used it a couple weeks ago for our A/C and it was very smooth and went great. The company that came out was great. The second time is currently a claim for my wash machine and I am not very happy because the company that was sent out to deal with my wash machine is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. They've got tons of complaints that name Choice Warranty is the company that recommended them. And I'm just, I'm not happy at all.

Every time I've called, they've come out and taken care of business. Once my toilet was leaking and I called them, it cost me $80 and they came and reset the toilet which would have cost normally $300 with any other company. This is my second year as a member of "Choice Home Warranty". I have already taken advantage of their service for my garage door opener, my clothes dryer, my clothes washer, my refrigerator and my dishwasher. They have all been minor repairs but I am generally happy with the service , especially with the speed with which I have been contacted by their service vendors. Home warranty started out by assigning a claim number and eventually assigning a contractor to do the work the shower Panal was installed but didn’t work properly the plumber returned and tried to remedy the problem to no avail. I found out what the problem was and called the plumber to return and finally get the panal working properly he told me that I had to call Choice and get a new appointment set up and pay another $65. I told him and Choice that the problem was not a new one but an ongoing one but was told that I would still have to pay another $65. I didn’t agree and asked to talk to a supervisor I was on the phone holding and holding and was finally told that someone would call me back within 24 hours. I finally had the problem fixed myself. Needless to say Choice did not live up to my expectations this whole process took over three weeks in which time my shower was hardly usable Also I was told that Choice would reimburse me for the cost of the panal which was $342. When I tried to collect that I was told then that it would have to looked at as the work order only stated installation smoke and mirrors

My one issue is that my wife wrote them a letter and they have never acknowledged it and they don’t show a phone number to call. I would have given them 5 stars if it weren’t for that
