It took 5 days for Choice to find a vendor to address my claim. In Fla in June it’s beyond hot it’s sizziling, the vendor came 2 days later and inspected my a/c said it was the chip in the blower motor and was an easy repair. After his office called for repair of parts and labor, it took a couple of hours for approval. He repaired it in 30 minutes. I would recommend Choice Warranty to anyone needing a warranty!

The trouble we had getting a service tech out here due to the tech's company not being paid added to an already upsetting situation. However, after calling Choice Home Warranty back, they were able to find a company to repair our a/c within 24 hours. The company responded within 24 hours and had our a/c up running. Hopefully, we won't have the same problem with getting a technician out in the future if we should need one.

I signed up and paid for 6 years warranty. I used them several times in the past and was very happy but recently i had an issue with no hot water. I called Choice and started a claim for no hot water. I thought it was a bad hot water tank. An air conditioning and plumbing company contacted me and set up an appointment. When he arrived i paid for the service call. The plumber checked my hot water heater and the water meter at the sidewalk vault. The water was turned off in my home but the water meter was running. He said there was a water leak at my house he tried to locate it but could not and left. Choice closed this claim. I had to request another claim for House Plumbing Problem "Might be a water leak?". Another plumbing company contacted me and set up a n appointment. Another Service fee paid. This plumber also said there is a leak and probably the hot water tank was still good. We walked around inside my house trying to locate the leak, he did not find it and was ready to leave. I told him several years ago i had another water leak and it was in the slab between my two bathrooms. They found it and rerouted the hot water into the attic above the hot water heater using Pecs pipes and ran it down the common wall between the 2 bathrooms and under the pedestal were the hot water heater is found the manifold of copper pipes that were run under the slab when the house was built. They cut and capped the pipe that feed the bathrooms hot water. I had the plumer open the already cut sheet rock on the side of the pedestal. he found the pipe that the water was flowing through. But he just left it and said they will make another appointment to come back and replace using Pecs pipe. They will find the hot water in the wall next to the Laundry room and run the Pecs pipe from a T connector in the attic hot water pipe back down to where the slab pipes are. They came back and first cut and capped the bad pipe in the slab at the manifold under the hot water heater's pedestal. The hot water heater was now working and hot water was reaching the kitchen. The bad news was my Choice Home warranty would not pay anything for ths fix as per my contract. Any slab pipe problems not covered. My bill from the plumber was a big dollar amount. Now i'm also stuck with a large water bill from my City.

I don’t like when I’m getting multiple conflicting reminders of when I appointment is and Choice will send out an appointment reminder confirmation and the actual company is unaware of this. This happened with the Georgia plumber on Friday Choice sent me a whole different time and date for a whole week in the future and the company still came Friday morning as scheduled.

Our garbage disposal and upstairs air conditioner went out on one Saturday morning, and they did a good job finding a plumber pretty soon and a plumber came out on Monday. They weren’t able to find anyone to come fix our air conditioning unit till a week later. While I appreciate that they were able to make it happen, I wonder if they would’ve came out faster if something was more urgent, and would’ve appreciated it more if they could have.

The lead tech was able to quickly diagnose the issue and perform the right service to resolve the issue quickly. The technician they sent was easy to work with. Power went off after his diagnostics before he could get Athority to put Freon in my air conditioning . He was very nice to accept that I would call him when back on. I did and he came back authorized to put in Freon. He also put in a stop. Leak was not authorized at this time to look for Leake.

Filed service request via internet. Received an answer with a company name and when they would be coming out. One company told me a problem and how it would be fixed and told choice a different story Took several calls to choice to have a different company come out and assist the problem, problem was fixed the second day after the new company came out. Customer service needed to be called several times and proof was provided about the tech statement to me was using there own service write up left with me. Saved me over $5,000 with the second company repair.

We had 2 service calls on the same day. One for a ceiling fan and the other for a garbage disposal. Both service people called ahead to let us know when they were coming. The ceiling fan service man was there as promised, friendly, efficient and neat. Great service call! The garbage disposal crew, as there were 3 repair men that came in… were friendly but we were concerned that something wasn’t right. There seemed to be some sort of issue that was being discussed just out of our earshot. When they left, the disposal worked just fine, but then the dishwasher didn’t drain. We had another person look at the dishwasher and he told us that something hadn’t been uncapped from the dishwasher that drained into the garbage disposal and that was why the dishwasher wasn’t draining properly. Thankfully this was an easy repair, and quite obvious to the dishwasher repair person. Why the garbage disposal crew hadn’t caught it is curious. One of crew passed out his card for further repairs and mentioned that he felt Choice had cheated him out of some pay a while back and he didn’t like it. I question why this should be discussed in front of customers.

I had Choice warranty a few years ago and was not happy with their service. The sales rep assured me they have a better service team now. So I signed up again with them. As of now see below I am still waiting to have the leak in my 11 year old side by side Maytag refrigerator repaired. The first tech Tam from Sears didn't repair it last month and today he came and I told him I wanted a different tech since he didn't fix it last month. I almost slipped on the water last night and almost being 80 years old this would not have been a good outcome for me. Luckily I didn't slip! I spoke to Ashley the supervisor at Choice and she assured me they will send out a different tech to find and repair my refrigerator.

When I use the home warranty, I don't have to make a phone call, I just submit a claim online. They say, we give you an option, you can hire your own people to fix the problem and then we will reimburse you. Or we hire the people to fix the problem. Now when we try to get reimbursement, it takes forever. I still have not received full reimbursement yet since 2021.

They ended up getting someone else out here and they did get it taken care of. The company itself stood behind their work because they did have to come back. My air conditioner was acting up. They they did support and everything went fine.

They're really good about following up on a claim if I have it or if I have questions or need to make changes in my policy or or things like that. I've used it several times, the most recent was when my microwave went out. They had someone come out to fix it, they did some work on it, they got it to work and then it went out again. So the company came back out and they didn't charge me or anything. They got the part and came right back out and fixed it and choice followed up with me several times on on how the status was and and it was pretty much flawless.

The customer service agents don't completely understand issues, it's difficult for me to understand them. I have to beg to be transferred to a supervisor to get any reasonable action on anything. Just recently I had an immediate issue that needed fixing and they didn't have a service person to come and fix it, so I got authorization to have my own service personnel, and it was required that there was authorization before they fixed it. It was promised within 10 minutes, but it wasn't 10 minutes. No one ever called. So I had them go ahead and fix it because there was water damaging my house and then they said they wouldn't reimburse it because they didn't give authorization. And now I'm fighting with them about getting that fixed.

They've always gotten something done if I had something breakdown. I had an air unit go out and they they agreed to fix it but it needed to be replaced because the thing they were going to fix it with wasn't going to last very long. But they didn't replace it. I ended up replacing it myself. Instead of their $900 that they paid the bill was $6800. All that wasn't all their fault. They wouldn't have had to fix it but I didn't want this happen again. So they did their part and in the contract.

Their online scheduling and filing of claims is excellent and very easy. The responsiveness of the companies that are contracted with Choice Home Warranty to service the claims has been good. So really the only negative I have is that when it says it covers replacement of your appliances, it doesn't. My dishwasher which was too old to be repaired and so they agreed to send me a check for about the cost of buying a new dishwasher. The person was fairly pleasant on the phone, but that really that wasn't a great answer to that issue. Other situations have been very good.

I needed to use it a couple weeks ago. They sent the guy out here and the fan was locked and he unlocked it took him about 5 minutes and he didn't check anything else. It's not cooling enough. I have it set at 60 and it's about 74 in here now. They've always stood behind their warranty for me.

When I placed a claim, they responded and then whoever the person was that was supposed to come out to do the job, they came out. I've had a lot of back and forth with them with respect to support. I had a problem with my garage door. There was an electrical outage that caused the garage door not to work at all. And I filed a claim and they denied that claim. I had to end up spending about $2800 to get my garage door replaced as well as the as the garage door opener. I was quite upset about that. With this recent claim that I had with respect to my water heater, I have to say that they were absolutely wonderful. My hot water heater was leaking and I ended up calling the plumber to give me some advice on what to do because water was everywhere in my utility room and that person told me to shut the water off to the hot water heater and I did that, called and reported it. And I was extremely pleased with the fact that they had someone out there that next day, which was a holiday, which was a Memorial Day. I could not believe it. I said they sent somebody out here on Memorial Day in order for me to get it fixed, and the guy did an excellent job.

My very first claim was for a breaker box. They had someone out within one day and the electrician fixed it. I paid my $65 and all was good. Then almost a year our AC was not working. I filed a claim online on Wednesday. This is in June in the midwest so not cool weather to be without any AC. Friday I called CHW to inquire about about my claim. They said they were unable to find a technician but would make it a priority. Wondering why it was not a priority already since they promise to find someone within 24-48 hours?! Said I would hear from someone by the next day (Saturday) In the meantime I got an email saying I could find my own tech for reimbursement option. I called around and got someone to put me on their waiting list; most said they do not like working with warranty companies, I now understand why! Monday morning a technician I had contacted said they could come out that am. Perfect!! Hit the start "reimbursement process" button in the email. Says "no longer available" so I called CSO, she said since I hired my own technician that they would not pay! I said what is the reimbursement process for then?? She told me that I needed their authorization first which I said by sending the email I had it. She said no. Asked to speak with a supervisor who told me that I could receive reimbursement. She sent me another email, totally different than the original email with different directions! Then they didn't want to reimburse me the difference from the $65 service fee. I said "where does it say that". They said since I hired my own technician they would not reimburse me the difference. I told them they had not found someone for the work, had to find my own technician. Still didn't want to reimburse me. I finally told them, cancel my contract since you broke it and give me my money back. Of course, they didn't want to hear that! It was a fight but I finally got reimbursed the difference. The original reason I bought the warrant was b/c my husband started to travel for his job and I knew I could not fix things if they broke down while he was gone. Lesson learned!

We have already purchased a washer so do not need an e-gift card, we need a check so we can deposit the money to our savings account. there now seems to be a problem and I have t0 call back later to see if they can give me a check? They got right on top of when I called about a problem and they got the people and they do the job and it was done. It was done quick and no problems. My air conditioning unit wasn't working and I had them call them. They had them come in and check it and they said it wasn't fixable, so we had to get a new air conditioner.

Fantastic getting washing machine fixed, for a problem with my garbage disposal the technician said it needed to be replaced which he did without any further charge. My plumbing problem was a different story. My toilet was backed up, had to call several times and finally given an appointment for over a week away. Prompt service,professional technician, resolved the problem. the washing machine had to be replaced, so CHW gave me a Lowe's gift card for the amount they covered. The only thing is, that I rarely shop at Lowe's. I bought my replacement machine elsewhere, so I would have preferred a generic gift card that I could use anywhere. Also, it did take about 30 days to get the card, so if I was using that money I would have had to wait 30 days when I needed the washer already.

Sometimes it seems as if there are too many rules regarding the coverage. Many items are not covered, such as the dryer door or something like that. They offered to reimburse me for having a profession replace it, but only for about $100. I also tried to get my washer fixed and while waiting for the parts it stopped making the noise so I left it.

They get back to me very quickly and schedule someone to come out. I had a situation with my clothes washer and they sent out someone that they placed apart but it did not fix the problem and so then there were a couple of other people that were sent out and finally I think the third or fourth person came out knew what the problem was and fixed it. It was a difficult problem to diagnose apparently, but it did get fixed completely.

It's been very valuable. Been happy with the vendors that they've assigned to do the service work. We've used it several times in the past two years. I was able to schedule everything and it was just really easy. I was having some backup issues in my basement drain and I called to have somebody come take a look at it and they were able to get a plumber out to come get the drain going again. It did take an extra day longer than I anticipated, but it was able to get done fairly quickly and the problem was resolved.

Liked responsive service to problems. Did not like that modular units (microwave/oven combination) that can not be repaired are not covered , only the module that is not functioning. Meaning that even though the entire unit must be replaced, you are compensated only for a portion of the total cost to repair. Additionally, payment is made in the form of a LOEW'S gift card. No where in the contract I signed is that mentioned. As a resul,t the payment you receive is not able to be applied to offset the total cost you incur to replace the unit.

I did not like that when I had a need to make a claim with a very narrow window of time frame to resolve the issue, which I explained repeatedly to the representative, I was told that I had to work through their system of reporting the issue, making the claim, then allowing them the time to find a service provider that would do the work and if they could not, then I could find a service provider on my own to do the work and submit the claim for reimbursement. This caused me to have the necessary repairs done much later-- four months later, after I had to repeat the entire process all over again, this time initiated in advance, so that I could ensure that the service provider they found would be able to do the work necessary, when I would be on site. Too, not every service provider referred, will work in every area. It seems more appropriate that the service providers would be more properly vetted to work in areas referred, and within the time frames required. Further, it would be ideal that homeowners could have the option to accept a service provider by CHOICE referral, or find a service provider of their own choosing, and have the reimbursement option upon making a claim. I was very disappointed by the initial response, it cost me time-- four months before I could get the necessary repairs done. It made me question whether or not my CHOICE Home warranty was a good investment. When I did get the necessary repairs completed through CHOICE Home warranty, I found that the service provider responded appropriately, in a timely manner as needed, and did a marvelous job. The claim was submitted, after I made the co-pay, and all is well. Make it easier for us as homeowners, give us the option up front, referral, or find our own, and get reimbursed.

after repair of request was made, related problem that was not made happened but unfortunately had to call another plumber to fix the new problem because the fix could not wait because water regulator went bad and water safety valve could not hold the water from shooting out.....can not fault Choice...
