Price aspect very competitive on the market. Customer service is good. Bad things are they dont buy the item for the replacement. Also, there is no way you can directly share your purchase invoice for a reimbursement. They suggest you to upload on website, but you will never succeed. At least happened to me multiple times. I dont know what will happen if a big ticket appliance fails..........

I believe in Choice Hone Warranty , they are the 'Real Deal' and best company. They do live up to what they say they do in their advertisements and contract. A recent whole brand new water dispenser and a job in unclogging kitchen sink drain. Their service contractors are 5 Star as well. I would recommend this company

Choice Warranty responds very quickly to customer requests. All technicians have been professional and knowledgeable. They explained the problem and fixed it. If it could not be fixed they didn’t hesitate to call the company. We’ve been quite pleased with Choice warranty

I have requested plumbing system services and plumbing stoppage services from Choice HW. After the plumbing services have been accomplished, I still have two problems with the plumbing systems that I had planned would be taken care of. First, I have a commode toilet that when flushed the toilet produces a back pressure bubble because the air vent through the roof is not clear. The flushing toilet produces a back pressure bubble in an attempt to grab some air to continue the flushing action. The plumber, who provided our plumbing system service, said that he would not go on the roof because Choice Home Warranty would not pay for the service or provide the liability coverage. Not paying for the service is an issue that I find impossible to accept because proper air venting through the roof is terribly important to the operation of the plumbing system. The question of liability coverage in my understanding needs to be addressed, as well, although I thought this would be the responsibility of the plumbing service business and not the responsibility of Choice Home Warranty. Please answer the issue. Second, I still have leaky lavatory bathroom sink faucets because the plumber advised me that a repair on these Delta faucets would not produce a solution to the problem because they would "Soon" leak again. I may be at fault for accepting this logic as the kind of common sense advice which only the most experienced plumbers know but I still have leaky bathroom sink faucets and I am going to fix them myself because I used to be an assistant to a plumber and my plumber showed me how. Is that what is in the best interests of Choice HW. I do have a question which has not been taken care of yet but Choice HW apparently does not have a procedure in place to make sure this issue is taken care of. The plumber did replace our kitchen sink faucet with the kitchen sink faucet that I had purchased and I understood Choice HW would reimburse us according to policy for a builder's grade kitchen sink faucet but Choice HW does not have a procedure to see that policy becomes a reality. Is Choice HW going to contact me or what? Is the communication between the plumbing service and Choice HW adequate? Do you really expect every homeowner to remember to call Choice HW to remind them to take care of the question of reimbursement for builder's grade? In summary, we have two issues of failure to provide plumbing system services which the customer is caught completely unawares. Isn't that a dangerous way to do business? Even if Choice HW gets by with this way of doing business, do you think the customer appreciates Choice HW for providing the solution to their maintenance problems. Sooner or later the customer will remember. I could hire my own plumber who would go on the roof for me or even though I am 73, I could still go on the roof myself. Do you realize I am very close to canceling my coverage and asking for a rebate of the monies that I have paid since June of 2023. The first service request was for a locksmith to rekey our newly purchased home and Choice HW did not contact the locksmith service for five days from my initial request and only because I contacted Choice HW a second time. The Choice HW customer service representative said they were having difficulty finding a locksmith service. The only reason I did not cancel after that first request was because the locksmith was excellent. On this second to third request for a plumbing service, the plumber was a good man but the limitations of not going to the air vent, which he admitted was the cause of inadequate flushing action in the toilet, repairing the bathroom faucets and Choice HW reimbursing us for the kitchen sink faucet with builder's grade amount to questionable service from Choice HW and the plumber. You should recognize the dawning of a what may someday be a legal problem in these issues. Eventually, the legal action of a group of offended customers might just catch up to you and you may not be intending to be unfair to your customers, just inexperienced enough in providing a service business that you do not recognize what trades people and some of your customers know about the responsibilities involved. Now, I understand and I will allow you to do what is right to the responsibilities which you should provide me at no further cost to me. Even if I was somehow prejudiced in my interpretation of fairness, wouldn't that still be the best approach to provide a customer? Please respond. Thank you much, Richard Reed

Once assigned an “agent” for a claim and not being able to get back to that same agent not good. The fact that when a claim is finally settled you have one place to cash in that claim…Lowe’s. My refrigerator went out August 8, 2023. After several repair servicemen said it couldn’t be fixed and many phone calls back and forth an amount was finally resolved and after I rejected the first amount of $500.00 for a $2000.00 fridge, I was finally given the right amount something like 2 months later. Had I waited that long to go buy my fridge at Lowe’s I’d still be waiting because they couldn’t deliver the fridge until after October 16…maybe. This being said, when Choice gives their customers their e-card it shouldn’t be to any one establishment…now I have an e-card to Lowe’s for “X” dollars for what? I had to go to Best Buy to get my fridge. I will be searching for another warranty company.

I do not like having to wait all day for a service technician . I am on schedule for tomorrow from 8,until 5, which means i have to stay home all day. I cannot be home past 4. Also, i cannot contact the service technician before he comes. I have bedn waiting for several months for repair on a wall ac. The first technician called and we told him we wanted to make sure that the wall ac was covered. He said he would check but he never got back with us. If they show up tomorrow and say that it is not covered, I shouldn’t have to pay the service charge since i have made several calls to let them know what type of unit it is. It is not part of the central air system.

The repairman that repaired my AC unit was friendly, knnowledgable and timely. What more can you ask? When a part was needed, he had the part on the truck. I know it's not suposed to matter, but the guy was here a total of less than 30-minutes. Much appreciated. Thank you Choice.

I like the security and convenience of knowing I don’t have do the legwork of trying to find a contractor especially since I live in an area I’m not familiar with. I also like knowing it’s just going to cost me a $75 service call since the seller of my house included the home warranty in the contract when I purchased the home. The downside is they seem quick to offer to let me find a contractor after a day or so if they can’t find one right away. I will probably purchase another year of protection for the peace of mind.

They did a wonderful job. Quick and good cleanup I switched to Choice after 33 years with AHS due to them not having plumbers in my area They wanted me to get my own plumber and bill them No local plumber wanted to deal with that Once they were on the phone for 45 minutes to get approval

I've used choice warranty so far 3 times. The first time took over a week to get assigned. But the last two times have been great. So the first time may have been an anomaly. But I have no complaints. Just be cautious of the up sell by the technician that come out. But so far everything with choice has been great. No issues getting approval for repairs. Only reason for 4 stars is the first claim took way to long.

Not good for emergencies. Contractors vary. In other words some contractors can be good and some not so good. The last job was a complete fiasco. Their Hvac contractor used a bucket and my wash cloths to contain the leak from my air conditioner (until they could get approval). Water was leaking into the house below me. I had to call in another Hvac company to replace the system. I have before and after pictures.

I had a refrigerator down for three weeks, and that wasn't Choice Warranty's fault. But when I did call them and try to get the tech here, they said they'd e-mail him. He never showed up one of the times and I called again. I kept getting ladies that I could hardly understand and I just couldn't get anything done. I finally just got the tech here and it was like a 15-minute job to fix it.

I was a little surprised that Choice Home Warranty decided to fix the washer with the initial estimate of the required parts rather then replacing the washer at the cost of a new unit in ads from Lowe’s and Home Depot, but the existing is working fine at this time.

I encountered varying experiences with CHOICE. Initially, there was a plumbing issue that remained unresolved. The plumber's assessment was disagreeable, as they continually attributed blame elsewhere. Conversely, an air conditioning issue was effectively resolved. While CHOICE generally performs well, the inconsistency in contractor quality should be addressed.

Pretty good on routine stuff (e.g., washing machine and dripping faucets,). The internet interface has been improved and works better and recently service calls have been fairly timely. They also are answering live calls faster than in the past. Mixed experience with AC repairs. Had to hire a non-plan repair guy to do a 15 minute fix on an AC unit. (The first service guy contracted with Choice screamed at me that I had tampered with the AC unit and he refused to fix it....I had not tampered with it at all.) Choice can be difficult to deal with on complex or expensive repairs. A 20 year old downdraft gas stove top can no longer be repaired. Staff resisted providing a replacement and said they could not (would not) guarantee the size, color or features for the replacement....and balked on saying they would replace it and instead said they would give me about $450 to replace a cook top that will likely cost about $2000+ to replace. I told the staff I was not happy and that I felt they were doing the right thing but they did not care and would not help address my frustrations. Previously, I had a time consuming dispute over the replacement cost of another appliance...but ultimately that worked out okay after a lot of effort. (I had to call the manufacturer, get a statement from them regarding the current "equivalent" appliance and then document the model numbers and prices, argue with a Choice claims person (supervisor?) on the phone, and then they made an adjustment that came close to replacement cost.) If you have higher end old appliances --the Choice program will try to keep them going, but you may have stress getting them properly replaced if they cannot be fixed. In the past, its been very difficult to contact any senior management to resolve problems. All that said -- if you do your homework, know the price of your replacement alternatives, READ YOUR CONTRACT, stand your ground for what the contract says and what sales person said you are entitled to, and carefully respond when there are problems you likely will do okay. Recently staff misinterpreted a contract provision but they covered the service call when I disputed the decision and explained why they made a mistake. But, it can take time. I recall that our contract for about 30 months cost us about $1450 on a special promo and we have probably have gotten about $1700+ worth of repairs paid for. Going outside a warrantee company that can negotiate is where the real savings is; you don't have to pay full retail rate to get service people your your home.

The only think I disliked was the timeframe for you getting a serviceman to do the repair. I understand that you may have many customers to service but I would think that the more customers you have the more service people you would have available to accommodate customer emergencies. When the service man did get here two weeks later to do the repairs he did do an excellent job. However, prior to his arrival it was horrible living in a house that was registering at 87. degrees Fahrenheit. If I had had quicker service I would have scored you five stars. The serviceman was excellent.

I didn’t like the point that we had to wait for more than 7 days before we could get a repairman. In the meantime we had to pull out our coolers and purchase ice to keep our food from going bad. I really didn’t like the response time for service. Couldn’t believe that there was no service available for more than a week. Not at all satisfied with the response.

I like that most of the time I get a reply within 24 hours, I don’t like that sometimes it takes a second opinion, that there are more charges added on sometimes because 1. the air conditioner has two parts only one gets covered your not only responsible for the other part but if there is anything needed to install both the disposal of both. 2. Plumbing issues if they need to put a hole in the wall you have to repair, they had me charged for uncovered issues. 3. Replacement when clothes washer is value at time of replacement so the machine I paid $700 for I got less then $200 for and paid over $500 for the cheapest version of a washer that needed to fit the area I had for it. So it still cost me over $300 to repair. It is advertised so much better, just pay and everything is covered. Oh and apparently when renewing your copay for every visit also goes up. And copays that need to be presented before the start to look at the appliance or issue is non negotiable if the problem is something like a fuse or GFI blown. Nothing else will be looked at. I know it’s paying for the tech to come out but usually if you call without choice techs come out and will give an hours worth of work for their copay. Since Choice gives them such a hard time on payment for the work they do-they try to get away as much as possible. I don’t think I had one tech out that didn’t mention that they have such a hard time to get paid by Choice for the approved covered repairs. Not fair to us paying, the tech are not comfortable that they will be paid.

They actually do respond immediately back when you make a request, whether they have someone or not. They just need to let you know that they're going to cover it before you pay the $85 and you can just find somebody else instead of losing your money because once you pay them, you don't get it back.

It seemed to be the best price deal that was available to me. I had an incident where I had to involve a case manager and it ultimately did not resolve the way I wanted to. We used the warranty for a repair of a central air conditioning system and there was an incident where a leak was determined to have existed in the refrigerant and the warranty would not cover the restoration of refrigerant.

We liked it enough where we bought a second policy for another house. Every once in a while somebody has to come back two to three times to get it right, but on most cases it's a quick turnaround. When we did have a problem with a vendor that they sent out to fix something, they kind of got on the person, and they were here pretty quickly after that.

I think that one of the reasons that I signed a long agreement with them at the beginning and paid upfront to save some money was because when I looked at the information they sent over, there was not much they didn't cover. It seemed like they covered most things and most claims. That has not been my experience so far. They've covered some claims, but it's definitely not been the way it was explained to me. That being said, there aren't there any policies that will cover the multiple things I have, so I don't think I have much choice unless I was to get 2 policies in the future with some other company. They are quick to answer. I don't always like the answers.
