I’ve had this warranty company for several years and have only had to utilize it a few times. As with all the home warranties I’ve had in the past, they are quick to take the payments, however they have their rules and requirements in order to benefit from coverage. They are as easy as any that I’ve worked with in the past. Sometimes they pay, sometimes they don’t.🤷🏼‍♀️

The plumbers they have been sending in the past 5 months, did not know anything on plumbing.! The very last plumber found what the problem was and reported it to CHW. On May 9, 2025. CHW contacted my husband and told him they have to decide if they are going to cover the problem. This plumbing issue has been going on since Dec 2024, to current. We can not use the bathroom at all for the past 5 months on June 9, 2025 it will be 6 months. We are having to use a bedside commode for solid waste.

I was surprised it took so long to get professionals assigned to my case. Then, the second professional made three appointments and never showed up and only canceled one of those three times. The first professional showed up and did good work. However, your warranty company denied payment for a part of a job that should’ve been covered. There were two issues with one toilet in the house. The claim for the bidet connection was denied, which I accepted. However, a completely unrelated claim for a malfunctioning fill unit inside the tank, was also denied, and it was completely unrelated to the bidet. It should’ve been paid. I had to pay out-of-pocket. That experience led me to believe that your organization is simply in existence to make as much money as possible, and not pay claims if you can find a way to dismiss them. I will not be renewing my policy. I’ve had better experiences with other companies in previous homes I’ve owned.

Haven't been happy with my service due to the denial of claims and reasons behind it. Also lack of communication during the claims. On your portal it will show claim is "completed" as soon as they schedule someone to come out but repairs usually take longer and not done in same visit so it should say progress vs complete. I am still waiting on a response after 3wks. I also was made aware that the amount they cover for some things is very minimal up to just $500 and not close to what the cost would actually be. Disappointed because I had heard good things and that's why I paid all cost up front. The claims that did get approved were quick but they were usually for minor things. When it came to bigger items there was more push back. For example I got stuck with a hole on my wall due to them sending their recommended repair guys and then deciding they wanted another company instead. Neither Choice nor the company could repair my hole even though it was their decision to change companies. Some of the customer service staff were very nice but also had ones that were condescending and rude so it's a mix in that area. Will be considering other companies in the future

My last claim was for a dishwasher and I was sent a payment for me to buy a new dishwasher, however due to the third party vender that Lowes use I found them to be unprofessional and rude and Lowes said that was the only company they could send to my home so I went to another company to buy my replacement, as I felt the company that Lowes used was trying to convince me to get work done that didn't need to be done.

I see that Joseph Drain Cleaning responded stating that the job was completed. It wasn't. The plumber broke off the flushing handle on the toilet and it wasn't replaced. The work on the minor leak in the bathtub faucet caused and leak in my kitchen sealing that lasted 5 days and has done damage to the ceiling in numerous areas in addition it did damage to my wooden table from Paris and destroyed all my paperwork that was on the table and since I do the majority of work from home, loosing the paperwork was not good. The plumber said that the work he did on the tub faucet won't last and recommended replacing the faucet. I called the company several times and the owner didn't answer my calls or returned my calls. I don't want to deal with this company again as the damage done to y kitchen ceiling and the unfinished work to the plumbing is unacceptable. I am new to Choice Warranty and and hope that the contractors you send out are vetted and do a good and complete job. I now have called about having a painter come out to repair and paint my kitchen ceiling and am hoping for better results

Still waiting for them to repair my heat exchanger and Ac at my home. Even though the Ac company recommended to replace the furnace, due to labor cost and the parts being on back order for a un specified time. We have no heat upstairs for over a month. We also paid $ 75 and so far nothing has been done. We had them come out for a dryer repair and the tech didn’t even speak English so with in a couple days the dryer was still making noise and eventually broke again so had to pay another $75 for someone to come and fix it correctly. They have no quality control whatsoever over who takes the jobs and you can’t request a qualified company. Most customers service representatives can barely speak English and don’t understand what they’re doing when you explain to them what’s going on. We have had people show up x2 to do work that wasn’t requested by us do to them misunderstanding what issues we have had with our HVAC.

The service is primarily via Website, I prefer a more personal touch to do business. The website is unassuming and difficult to manage. There is no assistance or a person to call and ask questions. When a problem is reported, you require way too much information to submit for reimbursement with pictures. Way to difficult. Finally, the actual amount of reimbursement is never enough to cover the actual work order quote. usually less than 50% of the actual cost to conduct business. (no inflation adjustments). Multiple times the technicians have told me that their companies NO Longer work directly for insurance companies.

After numerous unsolicited calls from Choice Home Warranty offering me a "great deal", I have had enough. I have told 2 different supervisors in a span of 2 weeks about these calls and emails and was told that they would stop. YET, they haven't! I asked the same question: doesn't your computers talk to each other and let you know WHO IS ALREADY a customer? Why am I still getting these calls and emails? It's to the point that I am about to contact my family lawyer and file a harassment suit if this doesn't stop. I've had 2 occasions to use the home warranty. The first was a GREAT experience with the assigned contractor. The second was a total nightmare. 10 days to get a hose that could have been purchased at Home Depot or a local appliance supply store in El Cajon, CA. Anyway, one more call or email and I am done! Let's see what happens now!!!
