The garage door repair company replaced one spring. The causes for the break were also addressed but, he charged me over $600.00 to fix the issue. Learned from CHOICE HOME WARRANTY that if he would have informed "CHW" your company would have covered it. He said they would not done so. Had another company come out after having issues with your contractors work...another $340.00. I did renew for one more year. That contractor should refund me for defrauding me. Pleased with CHW.

Had difficulty the first time using this service - the vendor didn’t attempt to solve the issue but made excuses for the cause - blaming us, the lamps age etc However after the holidays we resubmitted the claim (at an additional fee) and requested someone new - who was courteous and after 1 month of problem not reoccurring seems to have resolved the problem

My first call after having Choice for more than a year went as smooth as possible. I called at 6pm, got through to the agent, they set up a ticket and had an appointment with contractor by 8:15 am. Next day. They came that day. This was for a water heater. It did take 2 days for delivery (we had snow)and when they brought it and opened the box, it had a large dent. No questions, they returned next day with a brand new one! All of the time/calls/ texts we were notified through the open work over with Choice. Above All Plumbing was Great to work with!!

Choice Home Warranty is a good company, but they have some vendors who are sub quality and do substandard work. I had a problem with the garage door opener, not syncing with the unit. The first vendor who came out claimed he had the solution and that the door problem was fixed. 10 minutes after you left I had the same problem again, so I called him directly to come back and make a solution. He returned and said, and all is well, but it wasn’t. I requested Choice to send out another vendor who came in within 10 minutes permanently solved the issue.

So far I had a claim in which I had my front load dryer repaired. The claim was put in and within a day I was being contacted by a technician to make repairs. The repairs were taken care of in a fast and timely manner. No underlying issues or extra fees were charge other than your service fee cost.

I am concerned that Choice Warranty does not have the ability to contact the company that was authorize to make the repairs to my refrigerator. The company came and evaluated what was required to make the repair and ordered the part. The part came in an the computer set the repair date two weeks from the arrival of the part. I question the delay and unable to contact company through the telephone number provided. The telephone immediately disconnects when answering the questions. Called Choice Warrant and they said they cannot call the company directly to expedite the repair.

It works, but with some reservations. Had no claims all year long, until I had to submit 2 claims within two weeks. At the end they were both approved, but I did not like the very protracted process. Specially the plumbing issue, where they could not find a serviceman for 10 days. At the end I had to find a plumber myself, he had to submit the analysis and repair quote. Cumbersome. And at the end they did not approve his total bill so i was left with additional 100 dollars on top of the 75 dollars service fee. The other claim was with our refrigerator failing. Again it took about one week, but at the end they found a serviceman who approved a payout, since it was not worth repairing it. I could question the amount of the payout (There"s no way I could buy a similar refrigerator with that money), but fine, I'll accept that. It took FULL thirty days for the check to arrive, frustrating. At the end, it was all acceptable, because luckily both claims were not time critical (it was not a plumbing leak and we had a secondary fridge to save our food). Just wondering if it was critical, like my AC failing in the heat or a plumbing leak.

I just renewed my choice home warranty policy. Over the last three years I have used CHW 3 or 4 times on repairs. It has proven to be a lifesaver. The claim process was easy! The response was almost immediate, and I have had no problems with service. It really does provide peace of mind.

Choice acted on my claim immediately but it took a while to get a repairman here for my dishwasher. When he did come there were problems. it took him 4 visits to fix the problem and then he didn't put the dishwasher back in its place properly. This really isn't Choice's fault but they should vet their contractors more carefully. The repairman was pleasant but I'm not sure he really knew what he was doing.
