I’m pleased with the most part, the monthly fee and how creditable their tech are who respond to the job. I know CHW hasn’t paid for big items like my air conditioner and hot water heater, that I had to pay for replacement of both brand new . CHW did give me a few hundred back on hot water heater.

The technician and his work were very well done and in an efficient and expeditious manner. However, the invoice lack clarity about the charges for the services render. It was a little confusing and not reflecting of the verbal agreement.

Over all you can count on CHW. When your in a tight spot they’re always trying to get someone out to handle the problem ASAP, that’s extremely important to me. They come through when it counts. The people they send out in your time of need , 9 out of 10 are professional and polite.

My second experience was a nightmare and had me skeptical about continuing to refer my family and friends. My appointment time was from 1-4 and around 4:45 I received no update as to why the technician was not at my home or communicated with me. I had to call and customer service was not helpful. The technician showed up at 8:00 and did not complete the full order because he claims he didn't know he had to fix two breakers. He said he would come around 9am but showed up around 1 pm still no communication. Not even a month later same issue with one of the breakers. I called March 1 st to have someone come back out. Another service fee. I asked for a higher level supervisor to call me.... I'm still waiting. So the last technician came out and showed me that the last technician did not replace the breaker. I watched him do everything and heard him report to Choice that the previous technician did nothing he said he did. Had he done his job, I would not be paying another service call. Right now Choice gets a 2 star. DW electric gets 5 star. Now I'm still waiting on my phone call.

Thus far, not much. My first claim .....the technician did not keep appointments. I hired my own which went well. The problem is with the reimbursement. I was expecting $159.20. I received $114.50 I am still owed $ 44.70 I submitted an invoice in the amount of $224.70. less 65.00 amount due me is $159.20. Please pay the difference of $44.70. The electrician was wonderful, The issue was the long wait from filing to date of repairs.

Washing machine fixed, HVAC fixed, refrigerator fixed!! Can’t say enough! Sure there’s a $60-70 service fee but having a small set amount verses big lump sum helps with budgeting.

The plumber was excellent. I did have trouble getting the system to assign a plumber in a timely manner. I had to call in and get him myself. The phone wait wasn't bad and the employees were responsive. My only issue was not be informed that a plumber hadn't been found and had to wait two days and call in myself.

It worked for me. When no technicians from choice warranty are able take my request, choice warranty asked me look for my own technician to fix my heating issue. If the repair is covered under warranty they would reimburse the cost. Technician was able to submit diagnostic and got decision less than 10min. It was smooth transaction.

Happy with the Service sent;however,it took 15 days for Choice Warranty to have a tech come to the house in the city of Madison AL.There was no Heat hvac in 17 degrees weather & 57 degrees in the house as Grandparents we considered an emergency. Choice to have more priority with it's choice of Techs.

I have not used the service yet but was asked to write a review. My call to customer service to learn what services were offered was very uncomfortable. The sales person repeatedly read from the same script and didn’t appear to be able to speak off script. Each time he would end his phrase he would repeat “and let’s get you signed up today”. I told him to stop and that he was being too pushy. I wanted questions answered and he just continued the script. I am trying the service based on the reviews and coverage. The sales people need to relax and work with a possible customer, not force you into buying.

First time the Furnace guy came Quickly bit the Refrigerator guy never showed or call saying that he wouldn't make called another technician but the reimbursement app wouldn't let me enter another company for the technician to enter his findings not good at all its costing me 265 dollars to get it fixed

It's frustrating when you call on a weekend due to a broken hot water heater and it takes until monday to send a tech. When the tech comes out, he only takes pictures to submit back to the warranty company. Then they have to order the tank and come back to replace, ultimately i've been out of hot water for 4 days. No showering, washing dishes, washing clothes, everything is impacted. If they could have sent a tech on Sat or Sun to do the evaluation call, it could have sped the entire process up. Not thrilled with this experience.

I was told my repair would not be covered because I did not click the proper button. I was informed that I should find a technician to fix my problem and submit the invoice to Choice. I did find one and then a new garbage disposal was installed and the next day was informed by you that you were sending a tech to fix my problem .

I have been with Choice Home Warranty for a number of years. When speaking with others about their home warranty services, make me want to shop around. I dislike the wait for approval then the wait for parts. Last year I had to have my hot water heater replaced. Choice did not cover the entire replacement and the company the sent out did not put the pan underneath the hot water heater. They were suppose to come back but they never did. Another time I did a claim and the person smelled liked they had been drinking and he couldn't find a problem. So I had to call another company and they figured out that it was thermostat. And Choice did not extend any help with the other service call.

I had a microwave go out. Choice offered me $191 refund for a new microwave. They said it would take 4-5 weeks to get the check.....In this day and age to get a check written and sent that takes 4-5 weeks is ridiculous when money transfers in minutes electronically...Wonder how many in-baskets the claim sits and for how long....RIDICULOUS....PS... I am a realtor and do alot of business.....get the point!

CHW is very convenient but sometimes assigns work to companies that are not BBB affiliated and needs to make sure that those companies that works with them are trustworthy so that customers won't feel left out due to those companies that did the job didn't do it correctly.

This was recommended to us by our realtor. However, when I submitted my first claim for our microwave, I discovered that the door is not covered. The door to a microwave is a key element in it's operation. The amount we paid for the coverage, to date, has been a waste of money. The initial call was handled with care and immediate follow-up by a technician. The technician was the individual that told me that it probably wasn't covered. I'm very disappointed that I spent over $500.00 for this coverage and the first claim isn't covered. I know I'll get it's printed in the brochure and you're right, it is printed in the brochure, but I think it should be more visible and pointed out that major items on appliances like doors, are NOT covered. Probably won't renew the coverage moving forward.

My experience has been mixed. Choice assigned a washer repair job on 11/5/20 that will be completed (I hope) 2/24/21 after a comedy of errors and five visits. Choice also assigned a heating problem job on 12/24/20 that was not completed by 2/12/21 after three visits. On 2/12/21, Choice reassigned the heating job to a new local contractor and it was completed within a few hours with the help of my neighbor.

I needed water heater repaired. CHW arranged this. I was given a date for five days later. The day of the appointment I waited home all day and when no one showed I called the vendor , who told me the date was made by CHW and was not available. They said they left a message, which I never received. I was rescheduled for three days later. I called CHW and they blamed they plumber . I was without hot water. for 8 days. When this contract is expired I will shop around!

My service request was answered fast but I was sent a technician that did not properly finish the job. When I sent a request letting CHW about this, I was told that I would have to make another service request and pay another service fee for the technician to come and correct what he did not do right in the first place. I think that is totally unfair. I am very displeased. Also when I purchased my home warranty, I was not told that it did not include my washer and dryer.
