The decision was to provide me the money to replace my dishwasher by a Lowe’s E-gift card for $246. I am not sure where $246 came from because even the lowest value dishwasher that does absolutely nothing costs a lot more than $246. We had a beautiful stainless steel top touch digital dishwasher that costs a lot more than that and no one even asked what kind of dishwasher we had, the most they may have had is the brand. I would expect some money to come out of my pocket but not the majority of the costs. Secondly, my offer was a Lowe’s e-gift card so I have no options for anywhere else to shop around so not sure if choice has some sort of relationship with Lowe’s but this completely ties my hands as to where I have to purchase my replacement. Lastly, when I get the offer for the gift card I get an email that says we are so sorry for the inconvenience, we realize how inconvenient it is to be without a major appliance. Well apparently Choice is not too worried about it because when I inquired as to when I would be getting my gift card, I was told it could be 30 days. If we want to discuss inconvenience then look at the 30 days it might take to get my sales tax money, if it’s an e-gift card and it was approved before I received the email, then why is it taking so long. Between this claim and my last claim from this summer, with no resolution, and being treated worse than I have in my entire life I am debating if I am going to wait out the rest of my contract or go ahead and make the switch to a better company and just eat the cost. I am leaning towards just losing the money and switching companies

Choice Home Warranty was very responsive to my "emergency" need of a new water heater. It took one week from placing the claim to having the new water heater installed. I am thankful that I recently renewed my home warranty with Choice Home Warranty and that they were able to provide me with the service I needed.

I made a claim for my washer. I said the seal was torn. The first technician from Sears came to the house and investigated. He said the repair was more than the cost of the washer. The Tub has failed causing the problem. He ordered parts and then we waited for Choice to make a decision. The parts were still on order over 30 days later and we could not get any help. "We will send another email to them" 4 or 5 times "We will send another email to them" while we wait for help. Finally OK if you don't want to wait any more we will assign the claim to another company. So we waited until the 2nd company came. The technician said the same thing as the first , "it will cost more to repair than its worth". So the report was submitted to Choice and the claim declined. Why declined? The seal damage is not normal wear and tear, of course not the tub failure caused the seal damage both technician said that. Choice declined it and told me the seal complaint was not normal wear and tear so they are not paying. You must make a new claim and pay another $60 for the tech to say the same thing again. The company assigned called me about the problem and asked about the washer, I explained that the technician was just there and knew what the problem was. She told me they submitted the report, Choice chose to not look at anything but the seal. Then declined the claim. I made a new claim and they are sending me $547 for my washer which now has a replacement cost of about $800. I took the money because I am tired of dealing with a company that caused us so much grief. My warranty expires in December, I have been a customer since 2018 I believe. You won't get anymore of my money. Your handing of this incident has proven to me you are not worth money I work for.

I don’t like the fact that I first received an email saying that the technician was supposed to come next day but the technician never showed up then I received an email saying that the technician will come on Friday but he came on Thursday when I was not expecting.

Great experince so far. They saved me money when my Washing machine broke down and Other time when HVAC had proble. I also has some not so good experience with my Fridge repair, the same issue was fixed 4 time and i paid the copay all the times. Overall its peace of mind and i dont need to find technicians by myself.

The issue I have is the amount of money they give to buy you out. When I purchased the warranty they made it seem as though they would take care of everything when an appliance goes bad. They gave me $340 for a washing machine. I don’t think it is enough when you have to buy it and have it delivered and installed. This is the last time I will purchase this warranty. I will be going to cinch where they give you replacement cost or order your machine and have it delivered and installed.

I think the service you provide is valuable. I am not sure about your sales tactics. I already signed for service and opted to pay monthly as I do not wish to spend a large sum of money at once, and the sales person still pushed for an even larger sum of money to lock in my rate for 6 years. He was nice enough but a little tone deaf to think I would be willing to pay such a huge amount. As soon as he offered to contact his manager to get a better rate, I almost canceled with you because it seems like you are ripping people off unless we talk to the manager. I would have been fine without that added bit of pressure at the end of the call.

Once the plumber diagnosed the issue he advised me to call back in to get a new claim number so he could make the repairs. When I did the first rep I talked to was not listening to what I was explaining to her and I had to constantly had to repeat myself. She gave me the new claim number and told the plumber he should be able to pull it in a few minutes but it never came. I called back and the second rep I spoke with was very attentive and inciteful. She was able to put in a work request while I was on the phone and the plumber was able to pull the job and the issue was repaired.

Do not like that it takes so long to get someone to come to your house and address the problem. Also don't like how long you have to wait to get said item fixed because they say they are waiting on parts. Also,you would think that someone would reach out to you since it is taking so long just to update you on what is going on. Put claim in last month Feb 26 and still waiting on the 20th of Mar. Had similar issues with water leak a while back and had to call someone to come and stop the leak. Couldn't wait for them!

The request submission system is well organized, but I was never able to get the contact information for the case manager that was promised to me. It is impossible to reach a live employee, and communication through the application system is communication with a computer. Since I am currently in Europe, email is the only possible means of communication for me. Unfortunately this option does not work satisfactorily.

First tech did not show, call, or notify any way, until I called Choice back. Then he called me and explained that he was no longerworking with Choice and actually refused to answer them as they would keep sending customers after he quit. Also when I spoke to Choice they told me they only left messages. All this left me sitting at my house from 8:00am to 8:00pm on a Saturday fit a message that was left and not answered. Also reps are overseas and do not speak English very well.

My last service was much better than the first but I still have an issue with the home warranty. When my microwave went out I contacted you and you sent out someone from Appliance Service Solutions and charged me $85.00. They looked at it and said would have to order parts, this was in April/May time frame. I tried to contact A.S.S. several times and finally got a message back saying parts had been ordered but had no time frame. In August I tried again this time with no response. I contacted Choice Home Warranty only to be told that the issue had been resolved which was a lie, it has not been fixed and had to start all over again and pay another $85.00 for a service call for the same problem. The Sears Technician contacted me for the problem and the model number and fixed it the same day. Appliance Service Solutions and/or Choice Home Warranty owes me $85.00 for a service charge in my opinion. I will never use Appliance Service Solutions for anything.

I have left numerous comments and discussed with the 5 CHW reps that your initial contractor (EMS has horrible reviews, said you guys cancelled the claim.). And you guys couldn’t cancel the second attempt with EMS until they cancelled! The elevated claim went to Raiders Air and THAT TECH was excellent. You need to goggle EMS reviews and remove them. Fix your system to allow your client to cancel and keep Raiders Air on your list of good companies!!

The sales team is very aggressive and it appears to be scammy as the deals are "only good today", etc. I don't like pressure sales approaches. Set a price and have respect for your customers. My representative, Adrian S, did not call me back after I contacted him twice after the sale. I did get answers from customer service, but I guess, once they have made a contract sale--they are done with you. Poor customer service. My claim experience was great!

We do not like being without hot water for 24 hours. My husband has cancer and we must have hot water for cleaning of hands and body parts all the time. At 3pm when I reported this problem there was still time to call a plumber. Now it is 5:30 p m and no plumber found!!!!!!!! Yes I am a paying customer and have buyers remorse everytime I call you! Perhaps saving 50 monthly would be wiser!

Great for the money if you get the right repairman the 1st time. One time I got a repairman that did not what he was doing it had to be fixed ASAP because it was a plumbing problem, so I hired my own plumber.

A very aggressive recruiter call me and talked me in to signing up with a warranty with CHW. He said they would replace very old appliances. I called them to repair my dish washer, and pointed out all of rust and dents. They did not replace the dishwasher because it still works. All of my appliances are very old, rusty. I will not call CHW again. I plan to request the remainder of my warranty to be cancelled. By reading other reviews I see many others are having similar issues. I have seen some people have had a good experience with them, but that has not beeen the case for me,

Worst customer service in my experience with warranty companies. Representatives seem very rude and not interested in assisting or attending to customer issues. They also seem to be outsourced as it’s always been hard to understand and communicate with them as it sure seems English isn’t their first language. I have had better experience overall with 2-10 and American home shield. They also seem to set appointments with tech over a week in advance when issues arise. I have made three claims in the four years I’ve had choice home warranty and have had to wait over a week every time for a tech appointment and several weeks for issues to be resolved since techs had to come back out.

As for Choice, I am not happy with their disposition of my claim, or their inability to schedule an earlier service (1 week without appliance). We received the balance of this current contract with the purchase of the house - this experience will weigh heavy when considering renewal of this contract.

I liked the immediate response I received when I called. I had two claims. The first claim was for a dryer which was deemed unrepairable. I was told the replacement value was way lower than I could replace the dryer for which was unnegotiable. The second claim was for an electrical problem which was resolved in a timely and acceptable manner.
