I was "attacked" by multiple phone calls and lots of hard sell pressure to buy. That is a turn-off to me, and then everyone had a better deal, so it seems that the more desperate each salesperson was to make a sale, the lower the price. That one approach almost made me look at other companies. I finally did some research and got my questions answered on a neutral site. it was obvious the sales people did not care about anything except getting a sale.

choice have been very good at getting repairs done, the only issues i have had was they initially rejected my ac repair saying it was not covered when it clearly was covered but they did repair after I contested thier rejection. Choice repaired my dish washer, my AC and is currently replacing my washer, I am happy with thier service

I liked that they let me call my own repair person. I liked that they were willing to help me replace my washer and let me pick out what I wanted. I strongly dislike that it takes 30 days to get the Lowes gift card which, I still do not have.

I had a claim for my disposal and the guy who came convinced me that I did not need the higher HP that I had, so he installed the lesser one and it has already not working as of today! I've paid about $2500. for 7 or 8 years of coverage. This is the first time I had to use it and you are giving me a $497 Lowe's gift card for my refrigerator that cannot be fixed and on top of it told me I have to wait 30 days before I receive it. It ids now 25 days and I'm still waiting, how about paying me like I paid you 4 years ahead of time !

I had to submit a claim 3 times for the same issue. On the 3rd time, I went back and forth with whomever answers emails and they kept telling me the claim was closed out and I had to make another claim. So I did and voiced my concerns that I did not think it was right to have to pay another $85. They emailed saying we would not have to pay the amount again. When the tech left he apparently didn't get the message and charged us ANOTHER $85 for coming out the 3rd time for the same issue. On a previous issue with our fridge, the tech arrived 4 hours early and was very pushy about getting someone there at the house. I had no warning and went back and forth with him saying I needed to get someone there. It was a very stressful and in the end we had to cancel.

As long as they can find a company to repair the issue it's great, but several times they were unable to find a local company to do the repair in a timely manner, and I had to locate a company, and jump through their hoops to get reimbursed instead of them paying the company directly.

Due to unavailability of repair parts, my refrigerator had to be replaced. Of course, with the depreciation amount calculated, I had to come up with additional monies to purchase a replacement. Two months ago, I requested service for a cooktop. The request was handled quickly and the claim was " sent to our best available technicians in your area." They came out, collected the $65 fee, apparently got approval for the needed part; and then dropped off the face of the earth. Now I have to file a NEW CLAIM and pay ANOTHER $65 to "our best available technicians in your area." Apparently, it was MY JOB to give Choice Home Warranty updates within a certain amount of time the repair was incomplete!!

Service is very slow and claims are always being denied unless it’s a cheap part. Many times out of frustration I have gone privately to have things fixed. And I have two locations under contract. Also I’ve tried to use private repair people and submit estimates however no one wants to try to get involved with sending in estimates to Choice for approval than coming back again to do the work. The system is broken by design.

The money for the diagnostics is worth it. To have to wait 30 days to get an egift card at Lowe's toward a new washing machine is ridiculous. How long does it take to send an egift card. I have been without a washing machine for over three weeks and still do not have the card. Having a baby in diapers in the house without a machine is inconvenient and not worth giving this company my business. I have just renewed and we are thinking about returning to our old Warranty Company. I am not sure I left except for this Company Promotion deal. I have had it. I am done.

The Technician did a decent job on diagnosing the issue after I showed him the worn out door hinge on the bottom of the door. The issue was Choice Home Warranty is trying to deny the claim saying the worn out hinge was damaged. The issue was a 10 year old fridge door has a steel pin with Plastic swivel hinges that wear out after time.

I spoke with Tim D to start my policy. I later had to cancel that policy due to a current contract with another company through October 2023. I called Mr. D back and tried to cancel and he refused to honor my wishes. He talked constantly with statements like "why would you want to cancel with some one who is trying to help you" insisting I did not have to honor my existing contract. He talked non stop, talking while I was trying to talk, telling me what a big mistake I was making. I tried telling him I would honor my current contract and get back with him in October but he continued to talk over me and around me. I finally told him I was going to hang up on him and call back and speak to a supervisor. He informed me he was a supervisor and started his incessant dialogue. I hung up, called back and spoke to someone else who immediately transferred me back to Mr. D who was still talking non stop like I was making the worst decision of my life. I hung up again and called back and got hold of a very nice man (I didn't catch his name) and the first thing I told him was not to transfer me to Tim D under any circumstances. I explained to him what I wanted done; he politely offered me another option which I turned down. He very graciously canceled my policy and refunded my money. I am so glad not all your sales people are as impolite as Mr. D. I was truly interested in changing to your company in October because I feel it is a better company than the one I am with but I don't know now what I will do. I do know if I ever have to talk to anyone about Choice Home I will tell them to make sure they ask to speak to anyone other than Tim D. Thank you, Connie Gowan

Good morning, The option to fix our hot water issue by someone local was given and accepted without knowledge of the list of requirements given until after the attempt by Choice to find a suitable technician and was put on the homeowner to accept and find a technician. Send someone out from your network and look at our hot water heater to determine what was wrong with it. A family of five asked to have a hot water looked at. The company we found did and fixed it on the spot. How do you justify with the stipulations, which are not shared until after we took on the responsibility of finding one due to Choice home warranty not finding a technician in their network after two days, the efficiency, time spent, and work done by placing the conus on everyone else besides Choice? Because now we expected the company to come out, diagnose, take pictures, write a cost analysis, and leave then set another appointment to fix the issue when it was a one stop, minimal cost issue; is by far a weak stipulation on the businesses requirements. The company identified and tested the issue, and replaced the part, which was a faulty thermostat. Frustrating to no end that this was an issue with us and we would be out of hot water for a week, first world issue I know, due to having to put checks in the boxes set forth by a lop sided thought processes. The company sent all requested information requested by Choice and it is asked to be accepted and paid whether, the only repair, was either done on the spot or done at a later date.

The insivthat came out for service calls are ok, no problems. Yet, customer service is obviously not a priority for this company. Don't call for a service, it takes two to three weeks for someone to respond. Called customer service line to cancel contract. The female was not concerned about why we were canceling. I would not recommend this company.

I would advise everyone who considers Choice Home Warranty to read EVERY word of that contract. There are so many things that disqualify a claim. Only one of my claims was seamless. All the others took hours of phone calls to resolve or they were denied because of something in the contract which I didn't catch. In my case, the home warranty has more than paid for itself but I earned every penny of it.

price and the amount of denied claims. choice approves a claim (saying "because your a good customer"). then denies the exact same claim (the opposite side, same appliance) same problem. went to appeal the denied claim and the reason they denied this claim is because "choice was appeasing us that time because we were good customers". I guess we stopped being good customers.

I recently transferred to Choice Warranty because of the quick turnaround of technician service. But I did not realize I had to give up coverage for that trade-off. I selected the claim issue "Racks-Shelves." My refrigerator needs this service and my claim is being denied. Why would you let me pay a $75 service fee if you know you don't cover that? I use my refrigerator on a daily basis. Why would I intentionally damage it? How can you say this is not normal wear and tear? I have been using it for over 3 years and now things are breaking from normal use and you don't cover it. My previous company American Home Shield covered parts that were broken and missing. But like I said I switch to Choice Warranty because you had a quicker turnaround for technicians. But if I going to have to fight with you on every claim then it will not be worth it.

The service we have received has been excellent- however, it takes FOREVER to get a technician out to the house because of the lack of vendors Choice has. As we speak to the vendors, they all say the same thing- they’re thinking of quitting choice because choice takes too long to respond to the vendor. We had no heat during freezing weather and Choice thinks it’s not an emergency- so it took almost the full month they have to repair our furnace.

I like being able to submit a claim via the app. I have submitted various claims for two properties and repairs have been performed to my satisfaction. The only issue has been when the appliance cannot be fixed and a payment for replacement is made. The amount for replacement is not enough to cover the cost of a new appliance. Other than that, I am happy with the coverage.
