It took them probably 2 weeks to get anybody to come out and look at my cooktop. When they did it was just the electronic igniters weren't working. And the home warranty, they don't want to fix it. They want me to just replace my cooktop. They said they would give me $385 to replace my cooktop. It's going to cost between $1,500 and $2,000 to replace a cooktop. I am not gonna pay that much money, just get another cooktop where I don't have to use matches to light my stove, that's ridiculous. I want my stove fixed. So when I complained about that, they said they would provide me with a service manager who would get right back in touch with me. Never called me back, never. I called them last week and tried to find out what was going on. They gave me a phone number, but nobody would answer it. So I am not a happy guy.

Choice Home Warranty is a challenge to use. We previously used another home warranty company and they were SUPER easy to work. Choice Home Warranty is NOT the same and the customer experience process is SO challenging. We have had two claims this year, one for a washer repair that took over two months to complete and we had to use a public laundry mat. Recently, we had a leaking water heater. We paid the service call fee and expected that to cover the repair / replacement. That was not the case. The repair company told us we had to have the water heater replaced. Surprisingly, Choice Home Warranty quickly approved the claim. However, once the water heater was installed, we were given a bill for an ADDITIONAL $375.00 making the total $435.00, with no explanation. We did receive an email from Choice Home Warranty saying "The technician has been authorized to complete the repair. The labor will be covered. The required part(s) are under manufacture warranty and will need to be sourced through the manufacturer by the technician. There are non-covered charges due to the technician in the amount of $335.00." At the end of this contract, I will be looking to move both of our houses from Choice Home Warranty to another provider. It is SO difficult to get someone on the phone to discuss any problems, and when I asked the service provider about the charges, I was told that they are unable to call Choice Home Warranty directly as no one answers and the calls drop. This is the same thing that happens when we call. While the previous provider of the home warranty was a little more expensive, they covered FAR more and excluded FAR fewer items and their customer service was OUTSTANDING! We were trying to save a few buck, which we did, but we also got MANY more headaches for the few bucks we saved.

Have been long with Choice Home Warranty. Last week I had simple pluming problem. Needed a fast fix. After almost 24h I had someone to fix it for me. It took about 24h to give me an appointment for 72h later. Simply not acceptable with such an easy fix. Every 2 years maybe I have one small problem. This response was not acceptable. I already paid a lot for such an easy fix to get faster response. Worse than everything was an email one hour after I ask to cancel my order saying you got appointment! So much miscommunication and sloppy work in this specific occasion.

You acted promptly and assigned garage door opener repair job to Winston Doors. As per your notice to me, there was an appointment set for yesterday Dec 23rd between 3:00 and 8:00 pm. I never received a call from them. I called them and send text inquires several times regarding the status of their visit. Nothing happened, and they never showed up. I’m very angry since I have to cancel activities I had at that time and my garage door is shut down. I suggest you to assign the job to Citiwide Garage Doors. They are responsible and efficient.

Response was quick, but the first technician assigned could not resolve the issue. I updated the website and again it was a very quick response to assign a new technician. The technician arrived ahead of schedule and quickly resolved the issue and took the time to explain what was needed to resolve the issue.

Tech took too long to be assigned and arrive to evaluate the problem on a 4.5 year old refrigerator that was not functioning. Roman, the tech was great. Diagnosed the problem and told me what was wrong and what needed to be repaired. This item is under warranty and will be repaired by the manufacturer.

I got an email that I had an appt with the Technician on Friday between 11 am and 3 pm. When 3 came and NO Technician I called him. He had NOT been informed of the appointment. He worked me in on Tuesday and everything went well. Choice dropped the ball!

You are sending me a Lowes E-Gift card rather than repair my refrigerator. That card can take as much as 30 days to receive. Understandibly, no one can wait thirty days to replace a refrigerator. After checking with Lowes Credit Department, I cannot use the E-Gift card as payment toward my card balance. Your representative with whom I just spoke told me that the E-Gift card is the only option. Neither Choice Home Warranty nor Lowes policies help your customers. I will end up wasting the $986.00 on things we do not need because I can't use it to replace my refrigerator.

They take a long time to get a technician scheduled and they only approve the exact comment you make on the claim even if there are obvious other issues. They will spend extra money and time to replace parts even if it is less expensive to replace the appliance. I often have to fine my own contractor and then try to get reimbursed which can take weeks. Filing a claim is easy and the cost of the warranty itself is reasonable. The call out fee is very reasonable. So far, all of the technicians they have sent out have been helpful, professional and competent.

I woke up very early in the morning with no electricity quickly went to my breaker box and saw breaker was tripped replaced the breaker and it still trips so I filed the claim and then called and talk to a representative later in the morning to try to get this expedited and she told me there’s no way to expedite it which is kind of ridiculous cause I really need the electricity in my house so I’m very upset about that. Not to mention I’m waiting for someone to hopefully come today.

Can’t get someone when it’s urgent to get repair done. I needed garage door spring replaced and had to wait 4 days. At first it was going to be 5 but I called back and they got it t4. I was stuck not being able to get out of garage. Had to cancel one appt and finally getting wait down a day didn’t have to miss second. Reps didn’t seem to care it’s important. Just because it’s not a pipe broken causing a flood. I was disappointed. Haven’t needed any services for awhile then this and wait.

My kitchen sink was clogged up. The technician came and didn't get it fixes, and claiming it was the sewer pipes problems which requires a specialist to take video of the pipe problems. Any your Agent claiming this kind of stoppage is an "Out of ordinary wear & Tear" issues and you will not be responsible for fixing it. This is totally unacceptable.

I have rental property and nine policies with CHW. They never have technicians available in my area so CHW almost always approves for me to use my own. That in itself is fine with me but CHW puts me, and the technicians I hire, through the ringer to get even simple repairs approved and it's an absolute fight to get systems replaced. I will spend hours on the phone for each project and will send my techs out to a property multiple times to gather additional documentation for CHW, dragging out the process for days leaving units without heat, hot water, etc. They have even forced me to put $500 into a 12 yr old water heater instead of replacing it with a new unit that has a 10 yr warranty. That is simply a terrible long-term business decision. Even if CHW approves a system getting replaced, they will use the gray area and fine print of my policies to only cover approximately 70% of the total cost of replacement on say a furnace. Oftentimes they will get gimmicky and offer me waved policy premium fees instead of reimbursement on a covered system which I'm not a fan of. Their resolution managers are a mixed bag. If you get a good one, they will assist you with getting your claim approved. If you get a bad one, they will work against you to get your claim denied. Their is no consistancy.

vendors are normally taking up to a week to show up. one vendor dx air solution only showed up after I called them. They fixed issue and then 20 days later the unit stopped working again. This time after waiting a week for them to show up and calling them twice and leaving voices mails to confirm they were coming, never showed up. i called customer support and indicated I did not want to use that vendor any longer, to get the appt rescheduled and then was assigned that vendor again.

Every claim takes too long to resolve. Minimum 5 days to get a contractor to see the problem and then get approval. I am still trying to get my gas range fixed since August. I was also offered a free service call for renewing. It has conveniently been forgotten. Also, the $65 service fee has been upped to $75. That wasn’t supposed to happen. Last summer, my A/C conked out on Thursday. It was 95 degrees & 95% humidity. Didn’t t get fixed until Tuesday. Same. Thing a few months later. Still hot & humid and broke on Thursday. Same thing was happening so I called my own service guy and got the problem fixed in a couple of hours. Tell me why I need this warranty?

Chouce has been a good company to take care of my appliances . The only drawback is that it takes a lot of time to get things fixed with multiple visits by technicians and gaps between visits. A fix of dishwasher or fridge can take 3 to 4 weeks if not longer.

I place a claim on my hot water heater a month ago and have call back about it there response was there is nobody in the my area. call a week ago to talk to the higher up did another claim still haven't heard anything. now my a/c unit did stop working and I call to report it did a claim and got a email that someone was coming the next day. they even gave me the technician number I was shock but he came out next day and fix my unit.

I liked how easy and informative the website was and how I could choose the plan and payment type that suited our needs. HOWEVER, after I purchased my plan, I had a salesperson from Choice contact me to try to get me to buy a different plan. He was snippy with me. A few hours later another salesperson contacted me for the same reason. He was also sassy when I said I already had someone call about this. It was very irritating.
