I would have given a 5 star but not happy that I have to wait almost a month to receive a check for the replacement of my washer. I need to be able to do laundry at home. nd I`m retired so I can`t just go out and buy a washer without the money. You want our payments right away so why must we wait?

Choice dispatch could better serve the customer if they took a look at the service request and not accept the first technician that answers the ticket request. I know they don't handle emergency situations but when it's a furnace issue in 30 degree temperatures don't get someone who can come for 3 days. I had to cancel the request and get back in the pool in order to get someone sooner. The representative told me she couldn't cancel it and put me back in the pool so I ended up hanging up and calling back and getting another representative who did as I requested. I've had issues with technicians not honoring the warranty on the service so Choice had to send another technician out, which they covered the cost. Why have technician that can only diagnostic the problem and then you have to wait for a part? Yes, not everyone will have the part but at least some companies carrier general parts with them.

I’m not sure you want an anadote from me 2 monyhs ago I placed claim to repair my microwave. As of today, it still is not fixed. Choice has assigned three companies to the claim and non have fixed my microwave. Response from Choice is always empathy for my delimna and they have contacted the repair people. They answer they is the same answer I get. The company is waiting on schematically from Kitchenaide. Still two months later, no schematics. Now in fairness I have had one claim done efficiently. But this one is frustrating

I did what he told me to do and the problem was fixws at no cost to me other than the $45 I paid the man you sent out. However, in the past I have had several problems with people you have sent out to fix things that I had to pay someone else later to complete the repair as your person never returned to finish the job or didn't repair properly the item the first time and never came back or returned my phone calls.

Now that I've used the warranty company for a couple of years, I feel I know it pretty well and can share my experiences with Choice as being consistent and a deliberate in the way they operate. The turn-round time between filing a claim and them finding a technician is excellent. And that is why I've given two stars. For the rest, I would give them one star because zero stars is not possible. The quality of the technician is rarely good and the turn-around between the warranty company's contact with the technician and the actual appointment is usually several days. I have waited up to three weeks for a repair to my refrigerator, which left me without a critical appliance. Technicians report that Choice does not pay them well and they have little incentive to make Choice-related repairs a priority. Most technicians work independently and are not part of a reputable appliance repair company. Many of them come from surrounding areas, traveling quite a distance to do the repair. Another thing you need to be very much aware of is that Choice will not, as they advertise, replace your appliance. Nor will they pay the full amount of the service charge for a reputable appliance repair company to come do the work when their technicians fail to show up or fail to make the appropriate repair . My experience in that area is that I had to hire my own technician - with prior approval from Choice - to repair my refrigerator a second time. The first repair took three weeks and was not done correctly. The ultimate reimbursement was less than half the actual charge. They will give you a much reduced reimbursement for service and will give you a much, much reduced amount that you can use toward replacement but not the actual replacement cost. Not only will they not budge on this, it will take lengthily negotiations to get a small reimbursement. If you are led to believe otherwise, you need to know that you are being lied to and I imagine a class-action suit will eventually be filed on this. If you are a landlord or just want the peace of mind in knowing you are covered, I would carefully read the reviews as well as the contract. There was a time that Choice was extending customers' contracts by a month for every positive review they wrote. This was eventually litigated and they were forced to stop that practice. I would ignore the positive reviews and pay close attention to the one to three-star reviews. I find the company to be dishonest and the value to be extremely minimal. I will not renew my contract with them and had I known what I now know, I would not have signed on in the first place.

You get what you pay for. Sales advise Choice has the largest network of technicians and often can accommodate next day appointments. This has turned out not to be true twice I have had to find service on my own and submit a claim, the process is a nightmare and they look for every reason not to pay. Additionally appointments are often scheduled 3 days to a week out. Yes they have lower cost plans and minimal service fees but with the lack of technicians, poor customer service and wait times its not worth the savings.

The most recent service was a great disappointment. Although the referral for AC repair was very timely and the Choice operator was friendly and took care of my need right away, the company they sent to my house left a lot to be desired. The two men from Air Force AC showed up four hours before the scheduled appointment time. I was getting dressed for a Dr. appointment. They said I had received a call that they were on their way, although I had received no such call. They were dirty, and disheveled and I was afraid to let them in my home. However I needed my AC repaired so I did let them in to fix the problem. It took them only a few minutes and they said it was a clog in the drain, so I guess it is now fixed, they did not really talk to me much so I don’t really know. I called the Company back and reported the service and the lady that answered said she was sorry for the timeframe mix up. I am very disappointed in this service. My previous one was so much more professional.

while the tech who came was great! however the dollar amount that choice offered me was poor in that they offered me an amount which could not possibly replace the washer that was being replaced. i appealed the decision and spoke with a women who was not only unsympathetic to my issue but was also quite curt and although i sent her an email displaying the least expensive ge washer available at lowes (apparently their store of choice) she did not review it. i fully intend to cancel my policy with choice because i went through a similar issue with my water heater. although the contract says water heaters are covered, once you get to the exclusion section it actually isn't. i appealed that case and fortunately i spoke to a gentleman who understood. there are other warranty companies out there.

I am a Realtor in Florida & Georgia. I spoke with several Warranty Companies before purchasing w/client the Ultimate Coverage plan which was over $700. My client has a well, septic system and an above ground pool. When my client called in about their washer, the Tech told them it would cost more to repair than to replace because it is a newer name brand washer. Choice sent them a check for $350 to cover a new washer, that they said would be their cost (Choice). Well my client is a consumer not a business and he can't repurchase a washer for $350. When he called in about a water pump that pumps water into his home, he was told that was not covered, and it would be an additional cost of $80.00. So I called in with my client on the line. I spoke with Delsic, Dough, Ashley, and several others who insisted on going over NOW all the stuff the ULTIMATE, Higher Price Policy DID NOT COVER! When I initially spoke with the Rep that sold me on the REALTOR ULTIMATE PACKAGE... we thoroughly spoke about the property and what it had, and led me to believe that everything we spoke about during the Sales Call was covered, and now it's all these different add-on costs! Had we know, it would have been paid and we would have certainly made sure that all the items on his property were covered, especially since they are 1st time home buyers! Delsic wanted to offer me all the things they do cover like fire detector replacement, and air filter replacement, at a $65 service charge and then the items are free of charge! Once I went into further discussion as to the coverage I was told, I was purchasing, vs what I now find out what is not covered, Mr. Delsic, was short, and asked if we wanted to cancel the policy. IT'S ALREADY PAID FOR 2 MONTHS AGO WHEN WE CLOSED! He abruptly sent me to another office, which was sales... where that Rep, went over the same coverage's AGAIN, and then sent me to Dough who is a RESOLUTION Manager, (supposedly). When I asked to speak to someone in Corporate or A Corporate CEO name I was told it's owned by lots of people. When I asked for some person who is IN CHARGE because EVERYONE has some one up the chain that one would have to answer to. Dough then but us on hold for 20 minutes before disconnecting us. I am so disappointed with Choice, Their Promises, Their Customer Service and misleading coverage. Would NOT USE THEM AGAIN at this moment. However, if I do find an upper level manager that can assist or is WILLING to assist to resolve our issues, I'll report that back here as well. Rhonda Weatherspoon

Their scheduling and communication is on time. The techs are well aware of their work and know what to do, however the communicationbetween tech and Warranty service to approve service should take less time. Coverage should include complete repair and not exclude some , where the system cannot be fixed without out of pocket money. Overall good experience. Will continue to be with them for now.

I'm not sure how or where to begin. Just disgusted really - didnt have the heart to give you a "1" star rating. While eventually a tech went to house & did fix everything, its the PROCESS you have that stinks to high heaven !!! When someone puts in a request for service, it should be assigned to a tech immediately (certainly that day) -- NOT A WEEK LATER. I hate having to call and beg (and scream) for someone to ESCALATE the process to get a tech assigned. If my house was in Alaska (aka middle of nowhere) I would understand ------ I do not understand when my house is in the capital of Delaware metro & their are TONS of plumbers in area........... should NOT NOT NOT take you 1 week to send somebody to my house !!!!!!! Sadly, you have lost a renewal on one of my properties (16 Stuart Drive Dover, DE) & will not renew on another of my properties with you (2761 Willow Grove RD, Camden, DE). Shame -- I've even brought business TO YOU. Once I explain my experience, none of them will renew either. Really really a shame. Your a great idea, but process is broken -- also the reps are VERY IGNORANT AND RUDE. Clearly they need more training - especially when dealing with customers who are concerned & upset when their property is damaged/being damaged. While I (and most) can wait days for a microwave or stove to be repaired, a water leak in a house is a PRIORITY !!!! Nothing damages like water !!!

Have called twice to service the garage door opener, first visit (months ago) the technician said the garage door was faulty and did not service the opener. The door opens fine and have not replaced it as he suggested. The opener operated but kept losing the settings for opening and closing and had to be reset about once a week. Again the door started failing to open and close properly, this time it did not lose the settings, but would not close all the way and the gap from the door bottom and floor increased every time you opened the door. Called to service it this week (Oct 2018), the technician said the "carriage" is bad and had to order the part and would take a week to get and install the part. Now I have paid for 2 service calls ($45 each) and unsure if the "carriage" is the issue or if the whole opener is just bad. I believe the opener will continue to exhibit bad operations and would like it replaced. This is the reason I chose to get the warranty and now I have spent $90 which is almost the cost of a new opener. Since the opener has continued to lose settings, I would rather have the entire opener replaced, not just "fixed".

They take care of most of our warranty needs, but not all. It would seem like if something is on the way out, but not broken yet, that it should be covered, preventing a total outage for several days. For instance a fan motor on an A/C condenser.

Some of your vendors are questionable. One vendor came to help me with a clog & had no idea what to look for. I hired my own & he found/fixed problem in a few hours. Other time with washer vendor insisted problem was timer. Issue continued. Still insisted timer was problem. I asked you to send 2nd vendor & he found/fixed problem. Washer still runs fine. Do a better job of vetting your vendors.

From the time we made the claim, it only took maybe a couple of hours or less to get a response. The approval to the contractor to make an analysis was two days. Since the contractor came out and did the analysis, approval to make the repair was about two days. However The contractor still haven’t come out to make the repairs and it’s been about a week. Where’s the contractor?

Both calls I made, one for a quote, and one to actually purchase a plan, we're met with extremely pushy salesmen who were only interested in getting a cc number. I am already regretting my decision to purchase a plan with this company and my policy has not even been activated yet. Upon receiving my coverage plan I am wondering what is actually covered because there are so many exclusions that it nearly seems that nothing is covered.

It took us 5 days to get a drain unclogged, and during that time, we couldn't use our kitchen. People answered through email quickly, but it still took us 5 days to resolve the problem. It didn't seem like there was a real urgency to help us, and in the end, we had to find our own people. The reimbursement process was easy, but I wish they would have told us that is how they operate instead of being unclear for 5 days.
