I called because the AC was not cooling . a technician from Yantra air llc , arrived on schedule . work for a few minutes ask for his $60 check He said was done. did not said anything else , did not explain what was wrong , did not leave any paperwork to tell me what he fixed. The house still hot I am going to wait the complete day to give the unit a chance to cool the house , if does not work I will let you know tomorrow if the problem is not fixed I don't want to pay The $60 again .

Today the person-May- on the phone had trouble understanding me and I had trouble understanding us! In Feb I files a claim on water leaking from ceiling in study. You sent man out, but he said he thought it was a/c unit. From my house, he called you back to report and to order an a/c man to come out. No one ever called back. I was going out of town, so called my regular a/c man and he came out to fix it. Your company did not follow through this claim. Hopefully, this will not happen again.

I am not pleased with the handling of this claim. It took a few days to receive a scheduled repair date and time. So I ensured I would be available for the 4 hour window to have a technician inspect and identify what needed to be repaired. The technician did not show. It was then an additional 45 minutes to discuss with CHW and the Company CHW had selected to do the repair, only to discover Furniture & Appliance Mart did not have an order. As they explained to me. I was very frustrated at this time because there was a definate breakdown in communication between CHW and F&A Mart. Which left us without a diagnosis or repair of our oven. The conversation I had with the Service Rep was that CHW would start the process of findiing another company for the repair service. Which is now over a week past the initial claim. I indicated this is not acceptable and asked to speak to a Mgr/Supr, put on hold for about 5 minutes. Finally after ensuring my frustration was heard with the this claim, Lewis the Supr assured me he wouldmonitor the scheduling of a technician for this claim. The next morning I received an email indicating I had the Reimbursement option. I chose this, found a reputable company and had the repair done in a day. Now I have to wait for the claim to be processed and me reimbursed , within 30 days. We signed a multi year contract with CHW and not pleased at this time as a customer with the handling of this claim. I understand CHW has commitments with many service providers and there is the potential for communication breakdowns. This being said, does not change my frustration.

CHW has worked fairly well except they will find (and will try to stick to) clauses that will exclude your particular issue. There are way too many to list and are cumbersome to understand by the average homeowner. Be aware this is basically an INSURANCE Agency and will try to save every penny they can and will give you the runaraound and are relatively hard to get in touch with once a claim is established. Above all, they are in business to protect their company, not necessarily the client. Having said that they have been very responsive on certain appliances like dryers and refrigerators. A/C units are the big elephants on their list (of course, it's the most expensive...).

I requested service on a dishwasher a few days prior to Mar 11, when the serviceman was to come between 3pm and 8pm. Never showed. Called Choice Warranty on Mar 12 and they told me I would be called back in 15 min. Never happened. Called GoPro appliance service at 9am on Mar 13. Said they would be here around 11am and they did show up finally. Not to happy at this point. Somewhat of a hassle.

I could not understand the First Lady I talked to about my problem. It was very frustrating. You made me an appointment for two days out and I was without heat. Felt like you should have gotten me an earlier appointment. I did call company and they came out that day.

I purchased two contracts for separate properties, on one I received adequate service although I was not completely pleased. Their contracts are deceiving, written so an item appears to be covered in the inclusions but then worded in their favor in the exclusions. I had an attorney review the contract after a denied claim and it was determined Choice Home Warranty had breached the contract. A certified letter was sent to their consumer advocate department after being stonewalled by their customer service agents. I have yet to receive a response to my request to resolve my claim and/or cancel my contract for a pro rated refund. I will continue protecting my properties with home warranties but certainly NOT CHOICE HOME WARRANTY! Beware of CHOICE HOME WARRANTY!

I did not agreed with the settlement offered at the outset, but later upon requesting to speak to an account supervisor, it took about a week to receive a call from Ms. Ashley W in which after explanations was rendered an acceptance agreement to the claim was finalized. This was the only claim forward for about a two (2) years of coverage with both two houses.

Keith of Arch Appliance Service the tech who responded to our request was fantastic!!! giving 4 stars because CHW determined the it was more cost efficient for them to replace the item and than to repair. I was fine with this but CHW would only give me less than 1/2 of the cost to replace it and its less than 4 years old.

During the polar vortex week in metro Chicago when temps plummeted to -30 degrees my furnace malfunctioned. Within 12 hours of filing a claim a repairman was summoned visited and repaired! Bravo!!!!!

The services provided is not expedient. When an appliance is being replaced, it is never a sufficient amount to purchase a quality product. Item is never repaired on the initial visit and often times takes up to two weeks to satisfactorily complete.

I had a bit of an issue with the online claim form, I live in the South and most houses have heat pumps for heating system but it was not an option on the form. When I was able to speak to a representative he was able to put in my claim. I had an appointment within a few days.

When they choose to cover it is a fairly good service, but often they look for reasons not to cover items. The claim specialists have been inefficient as of late. Explanations are often just we don't cover it. Some can explain most are surly, or don't bother to return calls. I am frequently passed around from case manager to case manger. It is as if they get paid for the lack of resolution in favor of the consumer.

I only had one claim with CHW, and CHW made me find my own vendor which I found strange. Secondly I found that the sales agent were too persistent when it was time for me to renew. So many phone calls that I almost did not want to renew. One agent was not only persistent, but pretty unprofessional as it sounded like he was watching television while trying to renew my business

I had CHW for over 6 years. They delivered every time but one on a big A/C job which I'm still disappointed with that experience. They took the bad tech opinion but they didn't take a very good company's opinion because it didn't go their way so I had to spent a lot of money (out of pocket) for something that should be covered.

Two comments, one positive the other negative: 1. Customer service is good, prompt and a claim is easy to file. 2. Settlement of a claim leave a great deal to be desired. Replacement value is not provided no matter the effort put forward to help the claim manager understand. First the amount quoted as the replacement value is 3 to 4 times less than reality. When it is discovered that the CHW representative is quoting an inferior replacement, the offer is increased but still about half the replacement value. The representative insists that the prices CHW get is less than retail and that is what is quoted. However, when asked to be able to enjoy the CHW prices either by having CHW do the actual replacment of provide tyou access to the vendors that provide CHW their prices you are told neither is possible, that the customer has to arrange their own replacement at whatever value they can and to accept this FINAL offer. Truly deceptive practices and most discouraging to work with.

CHW is very quick on getting you an appt to see what’s wrong the appliance; however the response time to see if they will cover the needed part takes longer than if we would have just got a repairman to do the services. It has been 5 business days of waiting and no response from CHW or the repairman who came and troubleshoot. This part of the process needs improvement.

My overall rating is due to my encounters with several of your customer service reps, most noteably the one that goes by the name Precious. She has no customer engagement skill and really should not be answering calls or taking call escalations. She only made a frustrating situation worse and was of no assistance. There were two reps throughout all my calls that did treat me with respect and genuinely tried to assist. Plumbers actally came to my home after each of those two interactions. However, thefist plumber did absolutely nothing and most likely charged for his run, thus causing me an additional wait for my issue to be resolved. I would not recommend them. The final plumber was great and your rep got them to me in a timely manner based on my phone interaction time. I reccomnend you terminate Precious and provide the reps in new Jersey customer service teaining.

The Service Teck called within a couple of hours after I submitted the claim. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He returned the next day to complete the service. He was on time for both appointments.

At first very happy. Had a problem with the clothes washer, didn’t spin at the end. One month later and several visits from the technician and it still didn’t work. The technician stated that he tried everything and didn’t know what else to do. Contacted Home Warranty and the supervisor was very rude and stated that they would send me $300 to replace my washer. A new one cost $800 plus, compact size for condo. The contract states that they will replace the machine but as several reviews stated, they always find a way around the contract. Cancelled my contract and used that money to get a new machine. They are great until you have a major problem and it does take a long time before they even discuss replacement. Don’t waste your money or time with this company.
