We were pleased with the rapidity that CHW resolved our claim. Within 48 hours they had decided that the range/oven was not acceptable to repair and offered to issue an eLowes card to purchase a replacement. The replacement should arrive within 30 days. Were were disappointed in the amount of the ecard, which amounted to about 1/3 to 1/2 the cost to replace the unit. It will be a help but not what we had hoped for.

I haven't used the company yet because I just finished the sales, discussion and payment portion of the contract. Three companies were vying for my business, and they all are equally persistent with almost identical ratings. It took all day for me to decide, compare and read the fine print because each of the three companies called and called and called. I then went to the reviews of the 3 different companies, and could have tossed a coin because the top two on my list had an equal number of negative reviews with a very high positive rating. I went with Choice Home Warranty because their (very persistent) sales person took the time to send the contract fine print for his company as well as his competition. Yes, I do read the fine print! I will say that although I went with Choice, they almost lost my business because they criticized their competition while their competition never criticized them. It may be a petty reason for losing business, but openly criticizing your competition and telling me "to be honest with you" just turns me off.

Justin explained the policy to me along with encouraging me to obtain the three-year policy that also comes with six months free as opposed to a one year policy. This will save us a tremendous amount of money. I am extremely grateful to Justin for all of his assistance and guidance. He was amazing to work with!

This company is very responsive when you need them to make a claim. Their price is a great value for your money. They have prompt and friendly customer service. We had a heating and air conditioning problem. They sent someone out within two days to check the system. First they cleaned it and then it worked. That saved us a lot of unnecessary repair costs because nothing was broken. This was a rental and all the way across the country from where we live. It gives us lots of peace and mind as customers and landlords, to know that we can count on them to fix problems quickly at a fair price.

Had my claim approved for a replacement water heater only to be forced to pay $1,200 because they will only pay for the water heater tank and $300 in labor. To top it off you have no choice what and where they source the tank. Not what they advertise at all. Insurance Company out for themselves and not the customers they claim to support.

They immediately denied my claim for my HVAC blower fan on the grounds that “it must be full of debris, they don’t fail otherwise” without asking the technician if it was in fact dirty or full of debris, which it wasn’t. I’m appealing with proof. I pay a contractor to maintain it to prevent breakdowns. Do not recommend this company.
