Dryer died 5 months after moving in. 20-25 years old and didn’t have a serial #. Warranty was not honored because of that. Listed way down in contract. Disappointing and more than aggravating. I had to pay full price for new machine.

Deal sounded good and turned out not to be true. What's the point of a home warranty if you still have to come out your pocket. I had to pay over $1,000 to replace a hot water heater, their vendor's cost was $2,200+, SMH. My vendor's cost was $1,800 but they would only cover $500.

I have been a customer since January 2023. My refrigerator is not working properly. I paid $75 to the technician on September 19, 2025. Today, 9-22-2025, the Case Manager offered to buy out $818.00 and refused to repair my refrigerator. A similar type refrigerator at COSTCO is $2,550+tax. Case Managers Ms. Nevada R. refuse to fix my refrigerator.

I've had multiple high dollars system (AC, hot water heater, stove exhaust) claims rejected for one reason or another. Seems like CHW looks for an reason to reject a claim. There is always something in the fine print CHW points to for the rejection. Buyer beware of CHW.

Their definition of replacement is not fair market value. They offer less than half of the value of a replacement of any kind. You would basically have to buy a used appliance from eBay or a junkyard for the replacement price they offer you.

Horrible, I can’t believe you guys don’t allow small fixes in one ticket , I have a leak in my toilet, I know how much is worth I just old and can’t do it, also my shower faucet, also easy fix can be done by same technician, both together is minor, but yet it can turn into 150$$ out of my pocket??

I dislike that when they need to replace anything there is always an additional cost or some loop hole it falls under that it is denied. I had 2 home warranty companies. Choice home warranty would deny it the other warranty company AHS would fix or cover it

They would not take care of my air conditioner even after the person that sold the policy to me said that they would take care of any problems concerning the air conditioner. I don’t recommend this company to anyone. When my policy is up I will find another company.

I had a frustrating experience with my HVAC repair. Choice approved a vendor, but I found concerning reviews about them being untrustworthy. Despite my concerns, they insisted on using their vendor. When I tried to provide my own, they backtracked on their support. Overall, the lack of transparency and poor communication left me very disappointed.

Choice Home Warranty was unable to find contractors to make any repairs. Then when I found my own contractors and they approved reimbursement of expense, the company did not reimburse me for my expenses as promised. They lost the opportunity to keep my business.

Poor response to claims. Took over two months to get a washing machine replaced. No follow up on another claim. They just closed the claim. Conflicting answers regarding information needed to work with an out of network technician. Quoted $400 to replace a boiler system that cost over $10,000.

Denied 3 out of 4 claims submitted. The last claim was mishandled by the vendor. The vendor did not follow the protocol. Choice Home Warranty did not enforce the rules with the vendor. We ended up paying for the repair. We will not renew the contract with this company.

This Warranty Company is a joke! Don’t waste your money! They will happily take your money, and then think of any excuse not to cover a problem that should be under their warranty. I have had much better success in the past with American Home Shield. Save yourself future headaches, and don’t purchase their product.

The dryer still doesn't work. The technician replace a part but the heating element is the problem. Otherwise the scheduling individual is was helpful. The technician just missed interpreting the problem.
