We feel that if we have paid you $1,250 for membership and a $65 house call fee, that a dishwasher replacement should be done through your company. We should be sent a link to select a new dishwasher and then you should be sending out someone to install it. What are we paying for? You are only giving us $300 for a dishwasher and our dishwasher is a $500 one. Plus, you are not installing it but we have to. If our air conditioning breaks, are you also only going to give us $300 and have us install it ourselves? Seems like a scam considering the $1,250 your sales person got out of me up front because I was convinced y'all would make our lives easier and better. Instead, we have had to stalk our case manager for 2 weeks to even get her on the phone, which is not her fault, it shows you have too many claims being fought and not enough case managers to handle it. Be better. Do better. People pay you a lot of money and don't want to feel like this. You need to take customer service lessons and then teach your company those lessons. I work in customer service and our goal is to make sure the customer is always 110% satisified. In this case, $400 was all I was asking for, not event $500 for my dishwasher and she was "able to get us extra money" to get it to $399. Oh and not we are waiting on a check to show up in the mail while we sit around with a BROKEN DISHWASHER STILL. Thanks for being useless and making me feel lousy. Do you have someone you can send to hand wash our dishes while we wait for the check to arrive in the snail mail?

After the tech diagnosed leak in my wall after cutting a whole in the wall...we set up an appt for repairs for Wed 16Sep and I was advised to reach out to Choice to have them arrange the sheet rock to replaced & close whole in wall. However, the choice rep advised that the tech will replace it, I advised the Choice rep that the tech had told me he does not replace sheet rock as he only does plumbing. The Choice rep then advised that he would face to open another claim pay a 2nd deductible (which would be a 3rd payment to them for the same project...) This does not make sense so, I requested this be escalated to management. This is the same issue, so it does not sound right for me to pay the Servuce Call fee $65, then pay for repairs upon completion of $190 once repairs are done leaving the whole in the wall so, Choice can open a 2nd/3rd claim just to collect a 2nd deductibles for $65 to close the whole in my roof-closet & replace the Sheet rock. In my eyes, this is all 1 project so, I should not have to pay a 2nd deductible for the same repairs. At this moment, I am still awaiting Choice feedback on how this is going to be resolved.

Month 11 of my policy and I finally needed to use it due to an issue with my refrigerator not cooling. It took them three days to find a technician to come out. Once diagnosed, I had to wait for the part needed to be shipped to me. (another three days and the technician said it would be three weeks before someone could come out and put the part in. Needless to say, that was longer than I was willing to wait to have a functioning household refrigerator, so I replaced the part myself when it arrived.

Air conditioning system was out and after one week of submitting the claim no response regarding assigning a technician. After calling in was only told it was being worked on. Happy to have had the service and the technician was good but not satisfied with the timing to get someone out to the house. Additionally, was informed when claim was submitted that I had a free service call which was provided when I renewed my contract, yet this did not occur.

I believe the sales person purposely did not explain things that should have been explained. I also believe I should have been able to view the "contract/agreement" before purchasing. There were things I didn't even know to ask. When I called back with some questions, I felt like he didn't care since he had already made the sale. I sure hope if I have something break down that your service is better than what I experienced.

It is easy to file a claim. Have used this service several times. I have had a washer and built in microwave determined it was more cost effective to replace vs having them repaired. Both times the money offered was just a fraction of the cost to replace. The microwave was under 2 years old!!!

I submitted a request for repair on Saturday 29 August and the tech called at 0900 on Sunday 30 August and then came and fixed the problem by 1130 that same day on a Sunday morning. His was excellent!!

In the past I have experienced excellent service from Choice Warranty, unfortunately for the repair of my frig it is not good. My frig stopped 5/6. Repairs have been attempted but frig still doesn't work. It is now 6/7. I am told I have to wait 30 days from the first repair to know if I am entitled to a replacement. The frig is almost 15 years old. WHAT'S DO THE NEED TO FIGURE OUT. I've been lugging ice packs back n forth from my deep freezer for WEEKS. R u trying to see how many ice packs it takes to cool a frig or how long food last in a broken frig? Two attempts have been made. IT CAN'T BE FIXED. I hope this is not the way things will go for any other claims I put in.

Took way to long to come up with a tech to do the job. I’m currently waiting (over 40 days) for service on my roof attic fan and all I hear is Covid19. A few months ago I had your service at my main home in Marion. My over/microwave had a problem with the blower fan motor. Parts were not available so I was turned over to one of your warranty people. I did the shopping for you and found a new replacement over/microwave would cost $2, 789.00, I got three quotes all within $10.00 of each other. Originally offered $500.00 but due to my complaining, got up to $850.00 far from what I had to pay for the replacement. I took the $850.00 not happy but stuck in need of over/microwave. Based on last summer you passed on replacing the heater in my pool after you had two experts tell you it needed to be replaced. The cost for a new heater $2,000.00. I was offered $500.00 and finally said ok I needed something to heat the water. I agreed but never received the $500.00. Why would I never tell people your warranty isn’t worth the toilet paper its written on. If my fan isn’t fixed before end of month my attorney will start a class action law suit against you for false advertising and state of Indiana will not allow you to sell your insurance in our state. People get tired of hearing the problem is Covis 19, its not. I have has all new wiring installed, new circuit breaker panel, and replacing ceiling and flooring plus remodeled the bathroom and plumbing in the 40 days its taken you plus had all new windows installed in the time its taken you to repair my roof attic fan. At the rate you’re going see you in court. I will be contacting George Forman to let him know you don’t support your claim “if you can’t fix it you replace it” as he will be named in the suit for making that statement on TV.

The salesperson made me feel comfortable to buy their service. So I purchased a 3-yearservice plan in April,2016. My first claim is when my disappointment began. In a dispute I was forwarded to the Retention Director and finally, supposedly to the Senior Manager before the problem was satisfactorily handled. I would have been comfortable if those two were the ones who always handled claims. But the run around and frustration I subsequently encountered on other claims, caused me to not even consider renewing my contract despite their appealing renewal price.

I have reached my limit. My microwave suffered a failure on June 22nd 2020. It will not heat anything. I called Choice Home Warranty and about two weeks maybe three weeks later I was told factory service would come and evaluate the microwave. Unfortunately the microwave is a combination unit. It is a stove oven and microwave all in one unit. It also matches my kitchen perfectly and I have no desire to replace it because behind the wall That space is not a finished area. So I would’ve much rather had it repaired. Factory service came and declared the unit dead. They also said that it was the motherboard that had failed. DEAD. And, there are no parts available. Calls with 45 minute hold times to hear the agent say “all I can do is escalate the service request, Mrs. S”. Over and over this has happened....And today was my last straw!!! I received a call three weeks later that I would have an appointment for my second opinion which is required by Choice Home Warranty. I thought it was unusual that nobody called to confirm this appointment, so I called the technician and he had no idea of what I was talking about as far as an appointment. Then I called Choice Home Warranty and they sent me out a confirmation letter saying that they indeed are confirming that appointment. Nobody showed up. Two weeks later I called to escalate the claim because they were not calling me with a new technician. Along the way they kept sending me letters stating I could find my own technician at their cost, but there are no technicians available up here where I live. And most of the technicians who are available state that they don’t want to deal with you. I stayed home that first time waiting for a technician that never arrived. And that situation occurred two more times, with different phone calls from you making an appointment with different vendors who failed to arrive. It is now the end of August 2 months later. I have had my grandchildren here all summer due to COVID-19 and the fact that their parents need to work. I have been cooking every single day without a microwave. That means washing dishes excessively! I am 65 years old and I should not be put into the situation. In looking on Facebook you seem to have 2 to 3 groups of people Who are majorly discontented with your service. It is a sin that I have to stoop to writing this letter in order to get service for my unit. I understand that you do not relish the idea of replacing both the microwave and oven stove – but that is what I have insurance for that is why I took the insurance and have been with you for 2 1/2 years. My stove/microwave unit is in excellent condition and is a high end unit for its time. I am beyond distraught at this point. What does it take? What do I need to do? And why do I need to do anything more after your technicians said it can’t be fixed? I would truly appreciate a return phone call from someone in power. Someone needs to go undercover and being undercover boss before the business runs down the toilet. Every time I call they keep escalating and every time I call I get an earnest calls saying I have an appointment that never shows up. This is getting old!

First it was 8 days before a/c was repaired with temperatures above 90 degrees. This is the second time for a claim that the repair company did not show up for the appointment. No repairman will do work in this area for Choice Warranty stating they have to wait for ever to receive payment or never get paid. One time They offered me a reimbursement deal where I can get someone to do the repairs and I would be reimbursed for cost. They stated there usual policy is to refund within 30 days but they would make an exception since they could not get a contractor to except the job. They stated that even if they had to overnight they would have me paid within 10 days. I received payment 34 days later and it was less than the bill. I will say for this particular repair the serviceman that showed up from approximately 60 miles away was very nice and had the a/c repaired and cooling within 1 hour.

C+ grade. #4 Very good; garbage disposal. Grade = A So your grade point is a solid B. But getting better! Keep it up! please

Poor communication after my claim was started. No one let me know an appointment with the ac repair man was scheduled. There was no email sent with that information. After I called I received the information and the scheduled appointment was when I was unavailable. I had to call the AC company assigned and reschedule. The ac person was wonderful.

Often times when I schedule a service call for appliances, plumbing, etc., the entire job is never fully covered by Choice Warranty. When my washer stopped working, I received a voucher for replacement, but was only given $299.00 for the replacement washer. I still had to come up with an additional $400.00 for a new washer. When I had a plumbing issue recently, I had to pay $60.00 for the service call, plus an additional $460.00 to have plumbing repairs, and the only parts that were replaced were to small connector pipes in my basement. I feel like the $39.83 that I pay monthly is not worth it, because the repairs that I've had have never been fully covered. I've always had to pay additional hundreds of dollars to have the work completed. I feel that when a consumer has a plumbing problem especially, he/she is at the mercy of the contractor because you can't ignore leaks and damage to flooring. In my case, I feel that the additional $460.00 that I had to pay was way too much when I have a warranty plan that I pay every month. I also feel that Choice Warranty should re-evaluate the exclusions on the consumer policies because it is more often than not the case that many repairs through Choice Warranty are not covered, and cost consumers too much money out of pocket.

Well our first need for service took two and a half days and our temp in the house went to 88 degrees. Trying to call into choice is basically none existent no one answers. Beside my complaint the repair was made and I appreciate the service techs work. If it were not for the slow response it would have been a five star

When my 2 year old freezer died, they offered my $350 to replace a $850 freezer, had to argue with them to finally get $450, just a little more than half of the cost to replace my freezer. Then last month my washer started making horrible noises, the first repair man said the motor had shifted and was hitting on the tub. He repositioned and said it was fixed. Not so, still making horrible noises. Emailed back (you know with COVID 19 no one is able to call to report anything, so much for customer friendly service! ) So #2 repair man came, he determined that the ball bearings were shot in the motor and he would order the parts that would be shipped to me, then a third repair man would come the following week to put them in! Each visit was a week without a washer at my house, so in 3 short weeks my washer is fixed. I am grateful to no longer have to carry my clothes down a flight of stairs, drive 25 miles to my son's house, carry my clothes up a flight of stairs to wash them, then take the wet clothes home to carry back up a flight of stairs to dry them. Did I mention that I am 66 years old, with degenerative disk disease (not supposed to lift over 10 #. I'm just thankful that the parts fixed the washer and I wasn't told that they would give me $100 to replace my washer!! Not a happy customer, will not be renewing when my 3 year policy is up.

My warranty service was scheduled four days after I called. Too long!!! I called to complain and no changes happened! When the service Personnel arrived I was informed that certain pats needed to be replaced.. I was never kept informed of when the service technician would be returning or the parts would be available. I had to call after a week to determine my place. I am. now waiting to hear when the parts will arrive and service will be performed. I was never informed. I am still waiting when the repairs will be done. I had to go buy a new microwave oven for temporary use because my warranty could no solve problem in a timely manner. Again, I am extreme disappointment. However, I was able to find the parts online with next day delivery, but I am waitingn, for the service company to get their parts. Totally, unacceptable!!! I am confident that this issue was in your home the issue would be handled immediately.! I am totally disappointed with the level of service! I must rethink a about a renewal.

Filing the claim and scheduling the repair was easy. The repair date was over a week in the future. The technician couldn’t find my address. Rescheduled repair was another week later. Numerous calls and emails got it moved up a few days. technician was awesome. My washing machine was repaired in less than 30 minutes. Area was left clean and orderly.

We have been without air conditioning for over a month. There has been little to no communication about what's going on with our claim. The tech has the air conditioner and they're saying they hope the tech gets the parts for the furnace by Christmas so we can have air and heat, which means we are going half of summer and at least half of winter without. The tech has a unit in his warehouse right now that he can install, but they don't want to pay his price. They don't care that we have two small children that are miserable in this heat! **EDITED TO ADD** After 5 weeks with no air, Choice did approve for the contractor to use his own equipment and did install August 14, 2020. Because they gave us a satisfactory resolution, I changed my rating, but I can't give five stars, as it should not have taken a bad review on this site to get this done.

I called about a leak. The plumber found and fixed the problem. He fixed the toilet rather quickly and was very nice. I'm so glad I have Choice Home Warranty. You are awesome!!

Our five year old refrigerator was not getting cold enough and both food and milk were going bad. I completed the claim on line and was contacted by a local technician who made an appointment and arrived on time. He carried out a thorough inspection and is due to get back to us as soon as the parts arrive.

My experience was good , however as I had done before I requested, on of your approved technician list and was told that was not possible. Not all of your technicians are qualified, which I know from experience.
