I bought Choice Home Warranty because they called and gave me a good price. However when I had my claim, a hot water tank leave, I never saw nor heard from a plumber for 3 days. To me that's not very good service. They've got to get better or I may have to change companies again.

I have been a customer since January 2023. My refrigerator is not working properly. I paid $75 to the technician on September 19, 2025. Today, 9-22-2025, the Case Manager offered to buy out $818.00 and refused to repair my refrigerator. A similar type refrigerator at COSTCO is $2,550+tax. Case Managers Ms. Nevada R. refuse to fix my refrigerator.

I've had multiple high dollars system (AC, hot water heater, stove exhaust) claims rejected for one reason or another. Seems like CHW looks for an reason to reject a claim. There is always something in the fine print CHW points to for the rejection. Buyer beware of CHW.

Their definition of replacement is not fair market value. They offer less than half of the value of a replacement of any kind. You would basically have to buy a used appliance from eBay or a junkyard for the replacement price they offer you.

When I signed up with Choice, I had an existing A/C issue; the salesperson said - NO problem. Within 3 or 4 hours after you've registered, we will get someone right out to take care of the issue. Filed a claim this morning (day after registration) and was declined - oh - you can't file a claim until 30 days after your sign up. Total bull. ZERO points, my opinion.

Paid in advance for a year policy. $956. Put in plumbing claim. They sent an unlicensed plumber to my home. (They later admitted to this) I tried the remaining 9 months of my policy and was told my refund would be $1. So, if you pay monthly, you don’t lose $700. Moral of the story. Just don’t and if you do, do not pay a year in advance. This is shortened version.

This company is the worst. Please don’t send them a dime. They will take your money and not help you one bit when something breaks. They will say it broke because of something you did or it was a preexisting issue or anything to not pay. And if you do happen to get lucky and get some money when something, it will be less than half the amount you need to replace what broke. Please don’t sign up with Choice.

The contractor you sent for my water heater replacement was a con artist at best. He switched to a cheaper water heater than was agreed upon, Charged me several hundreds of dollars for services not performed and then never gave me a paid receipt or warranty information so I have no warranty if it breaks and would not return my phone calls
