THE JURY IS OUT. BUT ---I just purchased the annual plan. What I did not like is the way the salesperson was so pushy trying to get me to up the ante with more years to my subscription. Also he was a bit rude when I declined. I did not feel at all comfortable and almost cancelled right then. Then today, I received a call from someone with the company asking me to verify my address and phone number and then had the audacity to offer me a "free" alarm system, WHICH IS NOT FREE it is 59.99 per month. The install is free-- This really bothers me. Seems a bit without integrity. Anyway, I will see if I keep the plan. I have 30 days to cancel.

I was looking for a warranty company online. I read the reviews and noticed that CHW had an above 90% approval rating to be the #1 in the field. I called spoke to a representative and took the deal offered the rest is history as they say.

I told them the issue when I called. Paid $85.00 fee only to be told not covered AFTER I paid. Appealing process now. Will see. At least should be refunded my $85. May have to shop for different home wty company. Also...when speaking to agents, most of them barely speak English. Have to ask them to repeat themselves several times. Not happy right now.

Was filling out a quote request form online when I received a call from choice. I ended up signing up for a warranty. I asked some questions and the answers are not true when the policy arrived. As an example I asked if I could use my own providers and was told that as long as they were licensed and insured that I could. This is specifically excluded in the contract. In addition my house is larger than the size limit in the contract so the contract is already void. I will be canceling both of my policies. In addition when I mentioned that I had not had time to review the company I was told after mentioning consumer reports that you were the highest rated company by consumer reports. Consumer reports in fact recommends not buying a home warranty and Better Business Bureau showed multiple complaints and that furtherresearch also showed lawsuits in New Jersey and Arizona by the states against your company.

The "We fix it or replace it" is false advertising, in my opinion as I has to pay $1,275.00 for Heat Pump repair because a large part had to be replaced. I also had a bathroom repair where the technician BROKE THE FAUCET HE WAS REPARING and when I called Choice I was told that I had to work it out with the technician and that the issue was my responsibility.

I needed my water pressure regulator changed out and because it was not attached to my home (located next to the water meter by the street as they all are), CHW declined to authorize the work. What difference does it make where the pressure regulator is located????? The pressure regulator is actually listed as being covered in the plan. Really bad CHW

The quick response and set up of technicians is awesome. I do wish your website had more information. For instance, I had expected that the website would allow me to view previous claims. I have had 3 different technicians out to work on my Bosch dishwasher. I'm sure it was still under warranty from the previous visit - but because there is no record of it on your website - I now know I have to keep all emails and correspondence every time I file a claim. It shouldn't be this cumbersome. I also do not like that when an appliance has to be replaced - I can only get a voucher for Lowe's. Their customer service, process of ordering a new appliance and lack of available appliances is the worst I have ever experienced. I ordered a washing machine on 23 October and it wasn't available until 31 January.

Choice sent me an email stating the technician would be at my house on Monday between 11-3, and they never came. Apparently, when Choice emails you about an appointment time, it doesn’t mean anything. It jus means that the company has accepted the job. The technician wasn’t able to come out until Thursday to unclog my kitchen sink. Five days without a sink is tough.

MW heating and cooling is a very good contractor. The warranty company is good tho some of their contracts are not up to speed. They will send out others at no cost if you get a dud so overall your problem will be solved

I have only had one claim so far, and it has been a bit frustrating. After 2 days of a sump pump failure, I was finally able to get a technician out, only after selecting the reimbursment option. The policy is that the technician has to enter the diagnosis before doing any work, but the section that approves the diagnosis is only open during certain hours. This means I have to risk having a flooded basement because the technician can't perform a job without approval. There should be something in place for reimbursement of after hour emergency services.

While I was very disappointed the repair was initially declined for coverage, I am pleased that ultimately the warranty coverage was honored. I was a bit concerned that the first vendor selected to repair my stove never showed up nor returned any of my phone calls. That vendor was one of the reasons I left American Home Shield. After a few calls to CHW relaying my concerns, I was rescheduled with Champion. I am very pleased with Champion's professionalism and quality. I hope Champion will be used for my warranty repairs in the future.

For service calls the claim is easy to make, and quick to assign a technician. They are qualified, and speak highly of the company. Recently my dishwasher died, and they made an offer to me. Even though this was a high end unit, stainless steel tub, because we couldn’t find the noise level dB, even from Kenmore, they decided to not consider a higher or decent offer. Their offer didn’t even cover the installation and haul off cost of a new unit. I plan to cancel my remaining years on my contract.

I liked the technician and the fact that he was able to fix the problem quickly. The only thing I didn’t like is how large the time frame window was that they gave me of when the technician would be there. The window was 11-3pm, which is a large window and makes it hard to schedule my day around it.

My refrigerator needs a new compressor. It is 16 years old. It will cost the insurance close to $700.00 to get it repaired. I asked the supervisor if it would be possible that I buy the refrigerator and get reimbursed with the repair money. It’s as simple as that. He said it’s their policy to fix what is fixable. I don’t get it and I don’t understand what’s the difference!

We have had 2 claims this winter, the first one was a cracked water pipe underneath the house. We had to wait longer than a week for a plumber to come repair it. Meanwhile water was gushing underneath the house in December! By the time the plumber came my husband and our fabulous neighbor spent 5 hours fixing it. When the plumber came out he didn’t replace the pipe that was patched! He said it was fine! Easiest $65 he ever made! Our second clime was last week, our furnace broke down in single digit weather. No technician could come out For 4 days! Then it took 3 more days for the repairs! These long delays in service is unacceptable!

Seems that they only have a tech to handle our garage door opener problem and wait time is 5 days. Effort should be made to have a backup when their selected is not available. At least they were fast in getting a CHW agent appointment and let us know.

Sent Pinnacle pools out to replace the pump, they found a leak and wanted $250 to repair the leak. I said let me check with my pool guy to see what he would charge. So they took the pump back and said would not install it until the leak was fixed. I asked how can he fix it if there is no pump running to show where the leak is? Their comment, "Your problem". Not a good way to do business!!

For the most part, the service is very good once you get to talk to an agent. However today the agent I talked to didn't speak clear English so it took repeated times to get my claim filed. Also the automated portion of trying to speak to an Agent, doesn't work very well, I had to answer the same questions over and over.
