So far I've only paid in and I just renewed my policy. I've not had any interaction with anyone except sales and I wasn't too impressed with them. The agent I spoke with answered the number I dialed with: "Hello!?" rather than with the business name at first. I guess that set the tone for the remainder of the discussion. He didn't listen to me when I told him I didn't have my policy number, asking almost immediately for my policy number so he could help me and then again a couple of more times until I had to emphatically tell him I didn't have my policy number. I really do not appreciate it when people who are there "to do everything in [their] power to help" you don't even listen to your first and major concern!

When I purchased a policy for the Florida home and the Colorado home, I added Septic & well to the policy in Colorado and Septic to the Florida property and I have yet received a policy that shows those additions, which have been paid for. That part is very disappointing. I am waiting to see how you respond to a service call from a warranty part on an air conditioning. So the service is still in question, both policy information and now payment of a service call. UPDATE: My claim for reimbursement of a service call has been approved and waiting for the check. We'll see how the rest of my claim and complaint is taken care of and mailed my updated policy.

I called Choice 07/20/18 about 6:00 PM, told them about my AIR being out. they next morning I got a call about an appointment set for 07/27/18. I called the contractor to see if there was anything sooner, it's in the 90s here, he came out Monday morning, ordered part, installed in Wednesday 07/25/18, 9:00 07/25/18 air went out again. They have been back out this morning 07/26/18. put in .5 pound Freon. We shall see. Choice has been great. Hoping that the contractors on this end get it together. This is why I left American Home Shield.

I think Choice is a good warranty company. I also think decisions on paying for repairs could be more customer friendly. Whether you do yearly maintenance or not things break down and appliances and home major units , break down . This should come into consideration when disallowing coverage on repairs. Also, I think alot depends on how thecontractor that you send our writes up the report, some are customer friendlysome are not. I learned alot about that with one of your rival customers, This being said I think Choice is a good company, we will see as time goes on.

Claim put in online. For few days Choice tried but couldn't get contractor to come out. Gave option to for me to find one for myself. That was extra hassle. Plus needed online approval documents to be sent , prior to doing work. It's difficult to get business to adhere to such regulations, when not tied to HW. Luckily one service agreed. Finally got done. Seems bill has been cleared, waiting for reimbursement check.Supposedly due in 30 days.

Submitted a claim for my primary AC in the house. I live in KC and it is under a heat advisory for the last several days with temps in mid 90s and "Feels Like" temps in the mid 100s. They scheduled a service man for 5 days later. They did not offer the reimbursement process. Luckily, had submitted 2 claims and the second was for septic which they did offer reimbursement so I was aware of the process and called in. After 3 transfers I was finally able toget the work authorized but they never asked what the service fee was. (My phone was used and it was in my hand on speaker and the serviceman was answering the questions asked) When I hung up with approval, the servvice man said "thats the first time I have dealt with a Home Warranty company that did not want to know the total charges or price breakdown." When I came back inside the email showed you were sending a check for the part fee only of $281.67 instead of the total I paid of $370.67 which included the $89 service fee. So I had t call back. Everything else was smooth and easy and I appreciated it.

Choice was quick to assign an air conditioning contractor A2Z. It was very hot and it took another day for them to arrive due to a lot of calls but when A2Z Repair came found my problem very quick and Choice approved the repair. The AC technician was very friendly and knowledgable. I was very satisfied.

I have been satisfied with the exception of the repair on the garbage disposal Someone called me from Prada and never called back to make an appointment. I had to contact a private repair facility to get this repair completed. For other services, Choice has been very responsive to my needs and repairs have been taken care of promptly and efficiently. I am now awaiting your decision regarding our Amana refrigerator. I do feel "peace of mind" by having this home warranty.

I have been overpaying for years. Plus if you are a Veteran or over 50 there are more discounts and benefits.

My first experience with this company was a nightmare! My fridge broke down and so I called them. Two days later they never called back to tell me when someone was coming out so I called them. They said they couldn’t find anyone to come until 1 week later but I could call someone out, have the repair comoany call Choice with the diagnoses and they would approve it. I would then pay them the full amount but Choice would reimburse me. So that’s what I did. I got someone out the very next day. I called choice for the approval and was on hold for 45 mi utes! The charge was approved and the total bill was $1174 to fix it. I paid the repair company and then later got an email from choice saying they would reimburse me only $440 and it would take a month to get the check. Ridiculous! I had to do all the work and pay for the far majority of the work myself. When they sold me the program they said I just needed to call them and someone would repair it in 48 hours and I would only have to pay $45 each time I needed something repaired. Choice is a rip off!!!! I did finally talk to a supervisor that was helpful and offered to send me a check for the full amount for the repairs so I’m upgrading their review to 3 stars.

Our repairman (After 5 Plumbing) has an issue with keeping the customer updated on what is going on; missing his appointment days and only giving updates when I call him and ask what is going on. It took a few extra weeks to get our dishwasher repaired; however, one week was caused by us contracting Covid when he finally did schedule us. Overall, he does a great job; eventually.

I needed more time to make that decision and asked your representative to cancel that payment. I would contact you once I have decided what plan I would accept. I trust that cancellation was done.

I'm reserving a 5 star rating once I get reimbursed for having to call my own repairman after sweltering while waiting for someone to be sent by the company. The promised coverage will reimburse in full, minus the required $45 service fee, which is a fair cost. My only desire would be more companies Choice could find to send out but the recommendation I received from friends to call was fantastic (Carolina Cool in Surfside Beach)!!!

I had used another company AHS years ago and they were good but Brittany and Choice blew them out of the water on what I got covered...the price....and the monthly payment. I called on my dryer on 5/20/18, it was working Finely a service was called in Garland Tx some 90 miles away. Service man came cam 3 times over2 weeks. Claimed the dryer could not be fixed on Saturday I believe. . Was contacting Choice. Man from Garland tore uo=p my my exhaust tube. Choice contacted me about sending another service out from Texarkana, Tx some 110 miles away. Man called gave him the no.s off the machine told the problem with it. He came tore it up. Put it back. Said what he needed . Called this morning, said parts be ib next Wednesday, would make appt then. Be over a month wash and dry.

On 4/25/2018 at 9 PM, food waste disposal leaked water from the bottom. Within 2 hours after new claim was filed online, I was notified by email that a technician will be dispatched on 4/27/2018. JR Maintenance Tech Services came to diagnosed and replaced the disposal on 4/27/2018 as scheduled. The technician Mr. Junior M. was skilled and courteous. He did a wonderful job! I am giving Choice Home Warranty only 4-star because the company recently refused to authorize repair on a defective gas valve of my heating system.

My stove needed repair. The repairman came when he said he would come. He fixed the stove in about 10 minutes and left. He was friendly. I was very happy to have my stove in good working order again. Choice Home Warranty is really nice to have.

I completed the claim online which was very easy to do and later that day, I received a phone call stating the company that will be doing the repair. The repair was completed in 3 days from the original date of claim. This was not an emergency repair. Very happy with this repair.

So far both times we filed a repair the people you have sent out are average Joe not professional repair people and are not very knowledgeable in repairs one telling us. "I'll have to look online to see how to repair your washer agitator"?? Then with the bathroom faucet repair, they did a messy job. The gasket sticks out from under a new $80 Moen dual handle swivel neck faucet (that does not match any other faucet in our other 3 bathrooms we had no choice in style which was a single hot/cold arm) and the drain plug pull lever was bent by installer kid. If we have a paid in full upfront Gold membership, why don't you at least let your customer choose between a repair company OR if we don't like them let us get a trustworthy repair company we know and trust to do the job. Not keep sending the same shotty repairman back? This last repair guy was trying to scam us saying it was $45 for both the washer and dryer when your claims Dept told us $45 total. That did not go over well not did the tech get paid another $45. These last two service techs have driven beat up old rust filled vehicles and were dirty clothed people. The sink repair guy not only left his mess behind but then criticized us because we have a large beautiful home and only pay them $45 for service fee, then said its a ripoff basically to him as a plumber. I'm sorry but after our washer and dryer are repaired we will be going back to American Home Shield. That 30$ more per svc visit and having a reputable business is more important and worth the extra dollars. The repairmen they send are polite, clean, and have company vehicles. I'm not really happy as a "gold" top line customer. We paid for 5 years up front not too happy w the only two services thankfully we have a fairly new demo home and repairs were minimal. My girlfriend was glad the first plumber was gone he belittled the two of us because we had nice vehicles and upscale home and told us your warranty is a joke. Who hires these idiots to do your service calls? Maybe you should find more companies that are reputable and clean to do your repairs. We are in Franklin Oh would love to have Miamisburg appliance service our washer and dryer but you won't retain them. If we are "Gold" members then shouldnt we have some say in who we want in our home servicing our repairs? Especially since we paid you over $1200 upfront? We will be switching back like said to AHS soon and getting a refund on the remaining 4 years of warranty.

Been with CHW for 2 years, I have 3 homes with them ( 2 are rentals). I have not much of claims but a few. Two subcontractors being sent are very professional and prompt but 2 are the worst ever. One was sent to repair garbage disposer, I had issues with communication with the subcontractor's scheduler. But it that person had so many issues with other customer as well because he was new as I was told by the technician. Now that subcontractor had supposedly replaced my disposer but broke same night. The new technician said that he doesn't even know the brand or the supposedly new disposer that was installed. Needles to say CHW gives the subcontractors the funds to replace it but the subcontractors make more money from the work done by installing/replacing it with cheap kind. If there's better screening process of the subcontractors working for CHW then it could be better. Second , the repair person/company for my Dishwasher (C&D) came checked my dishwater and said that the problem was the thermostat. My husband had looked at it the night before and saw that the heating element was burnt. I mentioned it to him, looked at it and said oh yeah. That's the problem! OMG! Does he even know what he is doing? Took 5 weeks to order the heating element, charged CHW for $150 but I saw the heating element in Amazon for $26. Called CHW and complained. That person never rescheduled the repair until I asked CHW for another repair person to come after 5 weeks. I was surprised I had the patience. All this time, I was calling CHW for updates. Until I got tired of it!
