Fantastic Warranty Plan. I called and they responded extremely quickly. The tech that came out was extremely acknowledgeable, fixed the problem and went further to let me know that I had another issue that I didn't even know about. He solved that problem also by ordering a new part. I bought this plan for my sister also. She loves it too.

It has be quite some time since I have had to take advantage of my warranty and usually the process leaves little to be desired. The response time for the service was good. When an issue arrived choice staff resolved it quickly. The only suggestion is to include more issues with bathrrom plumbing. The choices are very restrictive. My problem was a shower diverter and I had difficulty selecting from the choices provided

I filed the claim with Choice Home Warranty and was promptly referred to the servicing contractor in my area in Wichita KS. I received an appointment within 2 days. The Servicer arrived and he quickly identified the problem and sent notice to CHW. He was very prompt and polite.

Scheduling is quick. Most of the companies are good to deal with, but we have had some bad experiences with more than one. Also, you have to be careful to log your claim in exactly the right category or Choice will make you log another claim for the same issue and pay the service fee again. If things go according to plan the claims go fairly well, however if anything goes wrong or an issue needs to be escalated, they are AWFUL. I even had calls scheduled with managers and the NEVER called. Multiple times. If the replace an appliance, they give you the wholesale amount which does not actually replace the item. I think most warranty companies due this.

The technician is very polite and respectfully. He wears shoes cover to protect wood floor. Carefully installed the garbage disposal and careful tested for the leak. Cleaned all debris and floor as it was when done. Perfectly. Thank you for his professional job.

Only had one opportunity to use CHW and their response was excellent, and the repair facility arrived within 24 hours. Ordered parts took a week but as soon as they arrived the repair facility arrived the following day. I would call that excellent service

I had two claims and both ended up with additional work needing to be done. A new tech was set up for one of the claims and still waiting on the other. Both original service people told me they would return to do the work. Now I have to pay an additional $100 for each revisit. One of the techs left without telling me and only texted me after I contacted him to see if work was done. The actuator was working before he showed, it was not after he did other work. Now I have to pay another $100 to have this fixed when it could have easily been approved and don while he was out here on the original call. I suggest you reevaluate how this is done in the field and make some improvements.

I have had to use Choice Home Warranty a few times in the past which I believe has more than paid for my premiums. That being said, I gave it a 4 star review because after arriving, I was informed that the service call charge was $75 not the $65 that Choice had promised (and what I've paid in the past). Hopefully I'll be able to get that resolved with them in the near future.

What I like about CHW: they try to do the right thing for customers. That includes putting service requests out to their network almost immediately after they are placed. Based on about 4-6 service requests made for my own home and another property also covered by CHW, I would also say the quality of technicians that are dispatched is equal to other home warranty companies. What I don't like about CHW: I absolutely hate dealing with their call center and try to avoid it at all costs. It does not appear to be US-based; agents have heavy accents and there's so much background noise they can't hear you and you can't hear them. Also, CHW does not act as an intermediary between customer and service providers. Once a provider accepts the service request, it's between the customer and provider to work things out. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not. Example: I had a no-call, no-show from the same service provider TWICE for same claim and had to ask them to reassign it. It seems their "network" is full of providers who look at CHW claims as "filler work" -- in other words, they act like they're doing you a favor when in reality, they're using these jobs to secure incremental revenue and put them at the bottom of their priority lists.

Their favorite word seems to be NO. Be prepared for thwm to refuse most claims, after you've paid the service fee. That fee is for diagnostic, not for repair. Also, most of the contractors they send our are third-rate individuals with questionable credentials, not reputable companies. Be aware that you can request a specific service company, if you know they're in network. But, unlike your medical insurance, you don't have access to a provider list. So this is a bit of trial and error. Mostly, it works well to request someone who is factory authorized for the brand of the system being serviced. That will usually result in a higher quality tech being dispatched. Otherwise you're liable to get a guy in a beat up hatchback who's ordering generic replacement parts on Amazon and ends up frying a circuit board while replacing a belt or something (that happened to me). Then you're stuck with the choice of suing the inept tech, or absorbing most of the replacement cost of what the tech killed. If an appliance needs to be replaced, CHW will offer you far below actual replacement cost - something like 30-50% - and they will try to pay that in a Lowe's gift card. You can argue both the amount snd the payment method... sometimes successfully. If you're strategic in how you place your claims, and willing to argue with the customer (dis)service reps, a home warranty can be worth the cost. Your willingness to argue and escalate a claim is absolutely the determining factor in how much juice you can squeeze from the CHW stone.

Jason, the repairman, arrived within the scheduled timeframe and fixed my dishwasher within 20 minutes. He was courteous and explained what needed to be repaired and cleaned up when he was finished. When I called Choice regarding the needed repair I was advised via email the same day that an appointment was scheduled within 5 days of my request.

Last time good. First time so good! I needed AC fixed. After no air conditioning in 95° weather for 4 or 5 days I got authorization to go ahead and get it fixed on my own. I got it fixed within hours. Then Choice Home Warranty refuse to pay me said I did not go by the rule when they told me to get the damn thing fixed.

Helping hands HAVC called within and hour of receiving the email for the job. Showed up within an hour at my house . Figured out what the problem was with our hot water heater. It was late in the day by then. He found the part locally. Came back early the next morning. We had hot water within a hour & a half.

We received the first visit, part was ordered. After a few days I called to see when it was expected to arrive, the technician could not be reached. I tried a few days later, same thing. Was told they would send a message to the right person. We got an email asking if this Friday was okay for the tech. to come back, wife sent the answer, YES. No response or reply to that. I noticed the email was not from a Choice email address, so I also replied asking if this was relates to my Choice warranty contract. No response or reply. So, tomorrow is Friday and I have NO idea if someone will show up or not, if so, not knowing if it is from Choice or another company. Seems a little "iffy" to me. Will see tomorow.

I’m very upset with Choice Warranty.. first they are $200 higher than Pride warranty.. I was contacted by them in Feb 2023 and the person I spoke with made it sound that I was getting the same services as Pride and basically I am but they also made it sound like I was getting better service than Pride. My point is that I am on a fixed income and would never take a company with the same services for $200 more.. I had to have someone come ck out my dishwasher and was charged an extra $75 for a service charge.. Pride doesn’t charge for service charges and I know this bc my friends have Pride.. I guess I really should have done better research on this company but like I said the salesman made it sound like I was getting a super great deal.. Needless to say I’m very upset over this Ty

My HVAC system died a few days ago and when I called, the young lady was pleasant but not terribly informative. She subsequently left a voice mail for me and game me a direct line number to call--which was helpful, BUT she has an accent, and I had to make several calls until I got the correct number. She has a good command of English but tens to speak very quickly, and that's when she becomes difficult to understand. At any rate, they have to send a tech out to "diagnose" the problem although, I KNOW the problem. Whatever!! At least this is a work in progress so I still have hope of getting the situation resolved and heat back in my home!!

I liked that I did not have to pay for the technician’s services after the first diagnosis appointment, when my claim was reassigned due to the technicians’ failure and refusal to provide additional information that was not apparently included in the initial work order. I also appreciated that the company was fairly responsive, once I would call to notify them of an important detail concerning something they had missed; or to request reassignment of the claim to another technician. I did not like, and became extremely frustrated over, the company’s failure to adequately respond to several texts I sent through their site messaging system. I received only standardized replies which consistently failed to provide the information I requested. I’ve learned that you have to call their customer service, wait in line to speak to someone, and address the current issue. However, most times, when I finally reached a representative, they were able to answer my questions and provide the information I needed.

I’ve had CHW for around 3 years. During that time, I have had a half dozed or so service calls, including through the COVID 19 debacle. In balance, they’ve done a very good job, replacing a board in my dishwasher , offering very limited cash ~ $350 towards a new one(took their offer), fixed a plumbing leak, fixed a power loss to my clothes dryer (today), and replaced my hot water heater…all of these for my annual subscription price and a $65 copay for each visit. For me, this warranty coverage makes sense. I am a widower, live alone and am 74 years old. Not handy, either.

Our last home warranty company did not cover a lot and wants to keep charging more and more for add ons like washer and dryer, an additional $70 a month for that. The service fee also went up on our last company $25 dollars making it $125 per service fee. I am a real estate agent as well, and look for better companies with greater value to offer my buyers and sellers. I am excited to try this company out first hand and be able to recommend a more affordable and comprehensive plan. Being a real estate agent also gave me a deeper discount switching from our last plan over to this company.

I am satisfied with CHW. They consistently support the claim requests and the customer service has been quick and responsive when needed. The service fee and monthly rates continue to increase which is a bit of a concern. If they begin to exceed $100, I would cancel. Other than that, I am happy with CHW.

When I tried to place a claim I was transfered and was told agents were busy. I then was told to leave my phone number and the first available agent would call. After waiting almost an hour I went online and found where I could place my claim. I did that with no problem and was given a claim number. I was told a service technician would email me with an appointment time. An appointment time was in my email the next morning. The online experience was much better than the phone call experience.
