They weren't that good at first, but it was cheaper than American Home shield. They finally called the right contractor, but at first it was kinda shabby service. The last time I called them it got better, but at first it took them quite a while to work out the problem when they came out.

Choice Home Warranty is full of surprises, I thought it would be a good company. My electric-fan went out, and I call them and they said it wasn't covered. Then my faucet went out, and I called them and they said it's not covered. Finally, our A/C unit went out, so I call them and they said it's not covered, so what's the point? Every time I call, there's always something wrong on my end. They say it's not covered due to many factors. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. I already cancelled it.

They sent somebody over to fix my leaky toiler, but instead of fixing it, the technician wanted to sell me a brand new toilet. He only took a look at it once, and told me I needed a new one. I just got somebody else to come over, and they fixed it. They just haven't been very good.

I had a plumbing problem, and they told me they didn't cover the inserts of the faucets. I have a refrigerator problem, they said they didn't cover refrigerators. I had a hot water tank problem, they told me they didn't cover hot water tanks. It cost me an extra thousand dollars for that last one! On top of that, trying to get on the phone with one of their representatives was horrendous. It was just absolutely terrible.

The service was good the technician did the replacement of the bathroom faucet quickly. The only issue I had was if I didn't call ahead I wouldn't have known that repair company wanted to be paid in,cash. A customer should gave the option how the customer can.

Recent claim for a replacement oven door was promptly completed within 2 weeks. The repairman, Shane, from Via Appliance, was professional and did a great job! I have been a customer of Choice warranty for a few years because of their excellent reputation but did not realize they would increase my premiums yearly. There was no mention of that in the contract that I signed. I’m disappointed!

I've had several good experiences with Choice, and a couple of bad experiences. the most important thing to know is that you are not first priority with the practitioners. you're going to get service in 3 to 8 days of when you call in. so that's the deal. if you have a plumbing issue, you're going to have it for days while they find someone to come out and service you. If you can wait, i guess it's worth it, otherwise, it's quite a pain. Also, there are a lot of exclusions that are difficult to navigate and evaluate in advance of signing the contract. Finally, they really dont have any customer service for helping you when you have a challenge, and they dont take responsibility for any problems, it's always on the service provider. So that's my experience.

It takes weeks to get someone to come and look at your appliance issue. parts need ordering after that if Choice warranty approves. You then need to schedule the repair. Choice is good about covering it just takes weeks which most of us can not wait for. It took about a month to address my issue. and received a check a month later which didn't cover a third of replacement cost.

There are multiple aspects 1. Wide range of items in the warranty coverage with equipment replacement 2. Quick response and in case they can't find right technician, we can pick our own technician (one time per year) 3. Choice to change technician. 4. More value per buck

Once you have contacted them, you will be FLOODED with emails and phone calls, three to five a day, barraging you to purchase. After purchase, do not expect to receive services when something actually breaks. You submit a claim, then enter no man's land. The "customer service" phone number and on-line chat are absolutely useless, providing only rote responses like "you will be assigned a technician when one becomes available, usually within 24-48 hours." When you make a claim on a Thursday, that window extends to Saturday, and of course you can't reach anyone then. A call to ANY service provider will result in a technician coming out, the city in question is Houston, where service is PLENTIFUL.

I put the claim in on a Sunday night and within an hour I had a date for Monday at 11 o’clock. The service Mahon texted and said he would be there at 11 and arrived on time. He fixed the dryer and was in and out in 15 minutes.

These gentlemen did not mess around. Arrived at my home and went straight to work on my ice maker. They had it fixed within 30 minutes. The service was great! That is why I renewed my contract with Choice a week later. I will be recommending Choice Home Warranty again.

Generally Choice Home Warranty has performed satisfactorily. I have made a number of claims over the years and all have had a competent technician dispatched but in every case it's been days before one could come and then they diagnosed the problem but often had to schedule a return visit after they had gotten approval to perform the repair, especially if a replacement needed to occur. The biggest disappointment occurred recently when my air conditioner went out on August 3 when it was 117 degrees in Arizona. I submitted a repair ticket at 5a.m. PST and had to call them at 10:30 inquiring as to why they hadn't responded. I was told it might be 24 hours! They finally got back to me at 3 pm telling me I was scheduled for repair on August 16! When I called and explained to them how hot is was and was going to be in the coming days they politely reiterated the August 16 date and said if I tried to reschedule it would be even later. I had no choice but to pay out of pocket for the repair. I won't get reimbursed because it wasn't approved by Choice. Such a letdown and this will definitely cause me to consider other home warranty companies in the future.

My experience with Choice has been frustrating. The technician they sent was negative about the company and uncertain about the repair process. My fridge has had ongoing issues, and despite multiple visits, it remains unfixed. Communication has been lacking, and I'm left waiting for parts without updates. Overall, it hasn't been a great experience.

The first claim took a lot longer to get it permanently fixed. I took almost four weeks to get it permanently fix. Plumber came out the first time and only temporarily fixed it. The other claims went well with a local plumbing company came out quick.
