I wanted to love Choice Home Warranty, but I can't. I've had the service for over a year and has only used it 3 times. Each time used, I wasn't able to get my items repaired, but only replaced. When items are replaced, they only offer about a 1/3 of what it would cost to replace. The last interaction; service call was $85 and I was offered $246 for my dishwasher replacement. Doing the math thats $161 toward the purchase of a replacement. I took the coverage out to have items fixed, not replaced. I will not be renewing on Nov 5th.

It seems like they never have anything covered. When I used the warranty for the stove, the first company said it needed to be replaced and the second refused to acknowledge that. The third company did replace it but it took two months to get it resolved with no stove.

Follow up has not been good. My air conditioning broke down a the worst possible time and it took two weeks for them to come and look at the unit, I understand there is a pandemic going on but I am still waiting to get a new motor.

It’s the worst. They don’t follow up and don’t stay on top of things. I used it for my air condition and they didn’t communicate with the company to order a part and got the time mixed up so it was cancelled. Nothing has been right since we’ve used them.

Choice needs to make sure their vendors come in marked vehicles and accept credit cards for payment and not require cash. In the beginning of August, my quote was not working so I called them and they send me an email two weeks later they emailed and said they could not find a technician and I needed to find my own and they later the same day said they had scheduled an appointment for the next week. He repaired one toilet and went to repair the second one but didn’t have to parts so it is not fixed. They haven’t offered to fix my problems. I wish I hadn’t switched to them.

Bought the home warranty to save me money but I just had to pay six hundred and twenty dollars to fix my air conditioning because Choice wouldn’t cover it. They left me hanging. It took me a week to get a hold of the case manager they put on it and when I did get a hold of her she said there was nothing they could do for me because the part that was broken was not covered. I am not happy with them at all. Also I had plumber cancel on me and I had to pay the service fee.

We have tried to use it 2 times and we didn’t get anything repaired or replaced. It has been really difficult to talk to a case manager because they are never there. We are not happy with the service as we haven’t gotten what they offered.

Two months ago my water hearer went out and it took a week for choice home warranty to get me hot water in my house but I still had to pay four hundred dollars plus the sixty dollars for the service call. Two years ago my AC went out and they had told me the year prior that they would repair it if they could replace it but then they would not replace it. They said it was too old. So I was without AC in Las Vegas in a hundred and fifteen degree weather for a week until I went out and found my own air conditioning company. I would not recommend choice to anyone.

Misleading advertising. Their ads say one thing, but when you turn in a claim, they point to fine print in contract that is not what their ad says they will do. They will replace appliance if it breaks down, but, not with the level of quality and with features that your system had. And then they offer you a wholesale price as settlement. Who has access to wholesale pricing on purchases? Not the consumer! I consider the warranty a joke and wish I had never bought it.

Customer service is horrible. I needed my ac system fixed and I called the company several times but heard no reply. I was so desperate I even tried emailing them in an attempt to reach contact. My son emailed them as well in order to see their availability. No one ever replied, no one reached out via phone call or email. I ended up having to pay out of pocket in full price because I was frustrated and desperate to just get ac in this summer heat

No emergency services. You have to wait minimum 2 days if not more for any repairs. Service tech has to wait for approval to repair on site before they fix the issue (choice warranty will not take the techs word)

4 day response on airconditioing, no confirmation of mutually agreed upon repair date, listed repair time at 11 to 3, actual vendor was 5 to 7, and said Choice tells everyone 11 to 3, after complaining, offered to waive $65 deductible, Vendir never informed, so had to pay, complained about that, and was told that the best they could do was to credit it on a future repair, that may never happen, when asked to talk to a supervisors boss, they said there was not anybody other than Alex, and he called me back with the same solution

It usually takes about 72 hours to get service. Last time I needed the warranty, my oven went down and it could not be repaired. It cost me $1800 to replace and they gave me $700, which is not even 50%.
