I have not been reimbursed for the new a/c unit that was installed in my house. I waited 24 hrs for CHW to send one of their techs, and when that didn't happen, they told me to get my own and they would reimburse me. I followed their instructions to the letter, got my own tech, had him email them the info they requested, and installed the replacement unit. Afterward they said they hadn't received his email, but he'd sent it FOUR times, and I'd sent it 3 times. Now they're refusing to reimburse me for the $4600 and I feel very much scammed!!!

There always seems to be a clause that does not pay the full amount of the repair bill, if it does pay on the claim. Also, I put in a claim 2 months ago for my dishwasher, which did not want to drain. CHW informed me I could find my own repairman to access the issue(they were not finding any company to accept the job) but the repairman must adhere to CHW procedures with photos. CHW has not tried to contact me in the 2 months since I put in the claim. I had the dishwasher repaired at my expense as I could not find any company who wanted to work with CHW.

In my opinion Choice Home Warranty is a rip off. I've had them for 3 years and they only paid for 1 service call out of 3. After my $65.00 deductible I had to pay on all 3 calls. I was told, after I signed up, that they are a ponzi scheme and to stay away from those Home warranty programs. They say they are available 24/7. Maybe to answer the phone but to get someone out here when my wells pressure tank broke, which they would not cover, I waited about 10 days. STAY AWAY FROM CHOICE HOME WARRANTY.

They need better representatives to show that they actually care for their customers and not have us jump through hoops to get the claims approved. They recently cancelled one of our claims because we had to reschedule the service visit. We've had so many issues, the customer service is not great. It hasn't been great.

It is very difficult to get in touch with them, there is no follow up, there is no sense of urgency. Recently my upstairs AC broke and it took a few days. I had to keep calling back to get in touch with them to find out what was going on and then I had to find my own vendor.

The salesman lead people to believe a lot of things that aren't true. I've made a few claims and they get denied. Also the wait time could be a week before it's looked at and then another week if there's a possible chance it can be fixed. If it can't be fixed they offer 10% of what the units worth. I had a two year old washing machine go bad. While still selling for $1100 in the store I was offered $250. Salespeople will tell you that you will receive the same type of style. Far from the truth.

CHW has a unilateral option to pay a "normal cost" instead of any replacement if they want to save money. Their normal costs are much below the actual least cost to do the replacement. For example: they paid me $254 to replace a dishwasher when the least cost from Lowes was $512.

I'd rate CHW a minus 10 if I could. They don't really cover anything . The conditions exclude everything! Their advertising is fraudulent. They refused to cover my water heater because it turns out the only thing they cover is the heating element not the tank. It took them 3 months to repair my toilet leak because they would only replace the piece that was broken and that took a special order.

The agents were very nice but could not help me. I needed the warranty for my air conditioning unit that was 22 years old and they told me they could not cover the warranty because there was erosion with my unit. Of course there would be a erosion if it's a 22 year old unit. I totally believe this is a scam company. I will never use another warranty company again.

They are not covering anything. I just needed to use it for the AC at my house and I ended up having to come out of pocket seven thousand dollars to get it done because they were delayed. They agreed to pay a portion but I had a charge of thousand dollars because I needed to get it done within a few days. They were about two to three weeks backlog after they lied to me. I think they need to be a little more transparent about their coverage. They don't cover everything unless you have relatively new appliances.

I like the price. I needed to use my warranty for may air conditioner and I could not get it fixed for over 12 days. I would email them and text them everyday and they would just send me back a pre-written generic email that they send to everyone. I would text my technician and he was like they haven't ordered the part. It took 12 days to get fixed. It was the worst experience ever, I am cancelling my policy.

I'm not real pleased with Choice Home Warranty. About 3 or 4 times I tried to use my warranty and they're about twenty seven miles from me and they had no people that could service the needs that I had for my refrigerator, my microwave, or my washing machine. And then it took almost a month and a half to get someone here with a microwave. I still have not had any return calls about my washing machine and that's been four weeks. And I sent constant emails and telephone calls. So the soonest I can get out of my contract with choice without a penalty I will be doing so.

Y’all don’t replace anything at anytime. I’m paying yall for somebody to come and tell me what I already know. What about replacements or making sure our items are working correctly. Had my first issue this year; my AC needed to be repaired, during a heat wave. The soonest anyone could fix is was 10 days!! When I asked for help, I was told this was the soonest and if I request a new date, the initial date would be lost; meaning by requesting an earlier date I could end up with a later date. I am definitely looking to change carriers at the end of my contract. Extremely poor customer service.

still waiting for air conditioning service My daughter has asthma which I told them I've been calling every day. i talked to several supervisiors they say nothing they can do. They said their trying out of network which could be 90 miles away That is redicilous. they tell us to get someone & they have to take pictures to approve it. No one will wait 15 min to to this. Im very unhappy with this service. i will never get you again or recommending choice.

I was told when I call they would have someone here with in 2 to 4 hours. That has never happened. It takes days and days before anyone excepts the job. Then they don't show up or say I'm out of their area. Why except a job if I'm out of their area. The process to hire someone and get reimbursed is terrible. Why can't I just send in the receipt? The company doesn't want to stop take a picture and wait for you to approve it before they can fix it.

Save your money they don't cover anything that they say. They can never find anyone to do any work. 5 claims from fans to roof leak to salt water pool m. Not one thing was covered and was not able to get someone to come out and fix it. I paid out of pocket and they never covered the repair. They sell services but never produce. I will be filing in court to sue them for breach of contract.

I have not seen the benefits of being a Choice customer. When it was time for an actual needed repair, I have to pay $2400 out of pocket for there placement coils, other materials and labor. Not seeing the value considering what I have to pay to renew and the service charge for maintenance.

I’ve been a customer since 2020, but their customer service and coverage/usefulness has declined substantially. I finally canceled out of my contract after spending hours on the phone with them and hours with the (poor quality) contractors they assigned to my case over the course over 2 months. They immediately deny claims and make up things they see in pictures submitted. It’s a very frustrating and time intensive process that just didn’t provide worthwhile value. Very disappointing.

because this warranty came with the selling of this home. was told all i would ever have to pay was a 65.00 service call.i had to pay 400.00 dollars to get my hot water heater. my friend has a different warranty company and her fridge went out, all she paid was a 75.00 service call, nothing else. not happy with choice warrenty

I had an issue with my ducktwork in my house. it says in the warranty it is covered. We bought the house in 9-2020 and tried to file a claim in 2021. We were told it was a pre existing problem and they would not cover it. we had a home inspection before we bought and was told nothing of any issues.

We notified Choice that nothing had been done even though came by, inspected the job and was paid and promised to return in two days at 1:00pm. Calls not returned. I filed a claim for my AC unit and the tech came out and diagnosed the blower motor was out. CHW denied claim saying that motor was still covered under manufacture warranty. The tech, the company that installed the unit and the manufacturer confirmed the only had a 5 year warranty and the unit was 7 1/2 years old. They gave me all kinds of excuses to buy time in the hot Texas heat until I finally bought the motor and repaired unit myself. I paid up front for 3 years ( around $1100.00) with promises of what a great company they are

If 0 stars was an option...that's where I would rank them. Non-responsive & continue to have excuses when they're unable to schedule a provider for a warranty claim. Customer service is ludicrous and elevating an issue is practically impossible -- and when successful, it results in the same 'call center' standard script answers...no one is able to actually do anything at the customer service level.

Not a good warranty company, microwave went out they didn't replace only gave something towards a new one. Central air went out they sent out a company but when the company sent photos for repair approval they gave them such a hard time that they didn't even want to work with this company anymore they never found me another technician but gave me the option to find my own then when the technician found sends in required documentation we called to get status of claim and are basically told they are not going to cover or reimburse the cost.. piss poor service
