Disappointed with slow response to our failed furnace. We were in a very cold house until the technician finally arrived three days later. He immediately diagnosed the problem as a gas valve. We were shocked that a valve was not covered. No solution was offered to us as to what to do next. We had to call another HVAC company to come and fix the problem. We spent seven days of no furnace in a very cold house using only space heaters running day and night confined to three rooms. We do not understand why a small part cannot be covered and looking at the contract, it appears that almost nothing is covered. Will likely switch to a different company after our contract runs out.

I would have given a 5 star, but I was informed by Choice Home Warranty of the date and time frame. When I called the plumbing company to confirm arrangements I was informed Choice Warranty does not set their appointments. Rescheduled with plumber for another day. Thankful I had another working toilet to use. The plumbers was terrific. Clean, respectful to my property and cleaned up after themselves

I like that they do show up and perform their repairs or whatever the home owner wishes to address. If the work is on their schedule it is addressed in full fashion. When there is a delay the customer generally is made aware of this.

I have had a problem with the 2 claims I have put in for my dishwasher draining in to my kitchen sink (dishwasher works good) but apparently the drain is clogged. and the water runs into my sink. I already paid C-force($45.) to fix it . He said it was clogged, left to get a snake to unclog it but never returned. Now I had to make a new claim, no one has responded yet. I may have to get a plumber my self.??

This is my third year renewing with Choice. The additional two months and extra coverage of roof and central vacuum were essential to my decision. But I think they should seriously change the name to PRESSURE home warranty. When I contacted the sales rep and Monday Dec. 29, he knew who I was before I told him. (strange but ok). Strikes : 1. He told me I could not renew and pay in monthly payments 2. Once I decided to renew and paid for a year and 2 months free, an additional offer was suggested. It was suggested that I pay over a thousand dollars for a 3 year plan that in the long term would be better. I agree but it is not affordable presently. TONE OF VOICE HARSH. I HUNG UP. Sales pressure does not change my personal financial situation. 3. Based on this the new name should be changed from Choice to PRESSURE HOME WARRNTY. There are other companies competing for your business. I'd advice reviewing at least ten each year before making your final decision.

I called Troy to tell him that my microwave is possessed. Out of the clear blue it will start on its own. You open the door and shut it and it will start. He was very helpful and said he would file the claim and they would get back to me in a day or so. I am a big fan of choice warranty and think that everybody should have this company.

I had been considering obtaining a home warranty for a while and received a call from CHW. Initial contact was pleasant and very informative. James (the 2nd person I spoke with) was very informative as to what coverage was available, etc. As I continued the conversation, I discovered that the warranty could be for one year at a reasonable price or 3 years with a better price per year or even more extended at an even better price with additional features.

Home Warranty is an OK company at one time I would of rated them higher . Reason I rated them lower was my dishwasher failed they sent out someone to fix it they were very good but the out come was I needed to replace it . They paid for a 5 years old dishwasher repaired once 179.00 to replace it it cost 150.00 to install so I had to research and purchase from a company I have never used before free delivery and free install and it cost me more money for a dishwasher with low water usage and low noise decimal I am paying 799.00 for replacement expensive on my part yet I am paying 54.00 monthly for chw and if you add that up it is costly . I guess something is better than nothing and maybe my understanding is wrong about if we cannot fix we will replace .

The repairman was on time, and told us what needed repaired. The garage door opener was in bad shape. He replaced what he could. Have warranty on all the parts he fixed. Motor will be replaced in a later date. Any of the parts go bad, he said give them a call. Have a new remote for the garage door. Good Job

When my oven took a crap it only took a day or so for a tech to come out. He was very friendly, personable and okay with my dogs. Due to the age of my stove/oven it just needs to be replaced. CHW offered a buy out and I took it.

My furnace stopped working on Thurs around 7 pm. I called CHW and there was a repairman here to fix it @ 3 pm Fri. The tech was very professional and speedy with his work. He fixed it. EFFICIENT HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING IS VERY efficient.

Unfortunately I would have to rate CHOICE WARRENTY with 3 stars.. The contractor was very professional, but the policy of what’s covered is questionable. I was denied a work order for $425 due to certain parts that were not covered. I was told the had been done under warranty for other clients . I was able to get the job done for half that price the next day and it only took two hours to do it. This was NOT a difficult job. I’m afraid if I really need you to Honor my 3 contacts, I will be disappointed. I’ve only been with you about a year, and this was my second request. The first request was cancelled in a timely manner. I’m seriously considering canceling my contact and I will not be renewing the following year. A $425.00 Job cost your company a lost of over $7600.00

Technician came the first time and worked on the stove and thought it was fixed but had to come back and ordered a part for the stove. The third time proved to be the charm and the stove seems to be working properly now. The "arrival time" seems to be a little long - "Sometime between 8am and 5 pm" . If possible, it should be shortened to maybe 4 hours time frame.

well we had a bad experience 2 weeks ago I called on 12/6 to report a leak next to light fixture kitchen ceiling, so they said they would send someone out on the 12/10 well then they text my husband saying they were going to reschedule on 12/16 well now I have 2 leaks and a bubble with water we had to pop then today they text my husband and said they would reschedule on the 12/20 he got upset has health problems called and spoke to a nice gentleman and told him what was going on and was not happy with service this young man was nice enough to help us and someone text my husband and they will finally be here on 12/17 We hope.

The processing of a claim is satisfactory in terms of timing and response. Opening of a claim is a straightforward process and self-explanatory. Customer Service reps are helpful and knowledgeable. I was a bit disappointed with initial determination that my claim had been denied, but sub-subsequent dealing with the Case Manager proved to be satisfactory.

However, I received a notice via email that there is apparently an issue with authorized service agents as none have yet to respond. I was provided with an option to contact a service agent on my own. However, I have opted to let Choice deal with service agents.

I went on vacation for the holidays and both my pumps went out on my pool. We called Saturday and the Technician came out Monday. The pumps went bad. Choice Home warranty covered both of these pumps no questions asked!! That is great service!! I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty for your Home

Always be sure to use one of Choices technicians. I used one of my own one time and they wouldn't pay the claim. Even though they had no one who could come out in a timely manner and my technician fulfilled all of their requirements including calling them immediately after the service was performed. Aside from that I have no problems with Choice.

The tech was great! My microwave was deemed it would be best to replace it and I would receive an e gift card from Lowes for $191. So I checked what was available at that price. Not 1 over the range microwave for less than $229. not counting tax or installation! I was expecting to pay a little to replace the unit. not having to pay out of pocket another $200 + to get a lesser unit and install costs. Buyer beware!

Service call was immediate, technician was thorough, found the problem immediately, will return with the needed parts in a few days, but found another problem I was unaware of and will order parts for that as well. Fixed my leaking washer temporarily and assured me it was safe to use in the interim. Happy as a clam with CHOICE!

Just had my first service call. Am concerned about the extra step in your process (compared to the previous home warranty I had) that requires the initial technician to send in a recommendation for your review, and the resultant delay in getting the problem actually fixed. It was no big deal in this particular instance, but could be a major issue on more of an emergency repair. Could be a game-changer for me... I'm contemplating going back to the other provider.

I had a leaking garbage disposal and went to the website and followed the instructions. I got a response within the hour and had a serviceman at my home shortly afterword. He was friendly and helpful. He replaced the disposal and went on his way. Very nice person. I am impressed with Choice Home Warranty.

CHW does respond quickly when service is requested. My concern is they instruct the technicians to replace or repair what part is required with the cheapest part possible. While I don't expect them to replace a part with the most expensive part available i do expect a part to be replaced with something similar to what they are replacing. They recently replaced a indoor thermostat that was programmable and they wanted to replace it with the cheapest thermostat they could find or I had to pay $250 for a similar thermostat. So I went to home depot and had to purchase a replacement. The upgraded thermostat I purchased cost $89 but the technician wanted to charge $250

I filed claim on 6-16-22 about two toilets running. Apparently CHW had problems obtaining a technician. I contacted CHW via emails three times before they finally had a tech accept the claim on 6-29-22. The technician contacted us on 6-29 to verify the appointment. They came within the timeframe and was able to complete the repairs in a timely manner. Only problem I had was the time from filing claim till a technician accepting the claim.

I was unsure about a home warranty but I received it from a home purchase. Well I couldn’t be happier. They re-Keyed the house, they fixed/replaced two broken garage door motors, they are reviewing the pool pump and the furnace right now. The claims process is simple and I’m an only out the small deductible. I am going to renew for next year.
