I've been trying for two to three weeks to get a couple of problems squared away. The people they keep sending out say they cannot work on the particular type of air conditioning equipment, even though they're pretty standard in the industry. I'm trying to use it and they can't seem to send the correct people out to take care of my problems.

I wish I didn't use Choice. I needed it to get my garage door opener fixed and it took me probably 42 hours on hold trying to get through to somebody that actually would take care of it. Every time you call, they put you through a bot system that keeps giving you a new claim number. So I had like 3 claim numbers on the same issue and I just needed to speak to somebody.

I am very unhappy with the recent request for service. My AC is out and it’s in the 90’s in Tennessee. It took two days for someone to accept the bid and when they did the appoint was two weeks away. When I went to sign up to find my own service tech, the SAME company had canceled and then picked it up again for the same two week appointment. I’ve made an appointment with another company and will pay for it myself. They are coming tomorrow to fix my air conditioner. I am seriously considering NOT renewing my contract with you.

I don’t feel that I got a fair settlement amount. I was also supposed to receive my settlement check within 30 days as was promised by my case manager. I still don’t have a dime. I find it hard to believe that Choice Warranty is rated so highly. The other companies must have horror stories.

I've had a claim for my fridge in for almost a month now. The service man said it was not repairable due to parts. That was a week ago and I've heard nothing. I've called three times and emailed once to get an update and all I'm told is that it was "in process". They were waiting to hear from the Sears technician. That's been a week. I can't get anybody to get this moving forward. The claims people are NO help. I guess the next battle will be over how much they're going to pay me for it. If this is the way they do business, I will not do business with them again.

Difficult to contact by phone, takes a while to find repair service local to us, Choice does anything they can to refuse to pay a claim, especially for big ticket items. They refused to replace our furnace stating it was normal wear and tear so I’m not sure what they would cover. Very misleading and not consumer friendly. I do not recommend.

Choice warranty is the worst home warranty company I have dealt with. I have emails from the company of one price I had to pay the contractor and then raised it $900. When I asked for justification I was told I had to talk to the contractor. So I did that and they say they have not changed their diagnosis. So call back and no one will send me any documentation justifying the increase. That is all I ask, if warranted then no problem. But to just completely tell a customer no is BS.

Seems that many times the item that needs repair is not covered because a little part is not covered. Other times, the part needs to be ordered. It has taken up to 80 days to repair an appliance, like the AC. My Water heater or water softener were not covered at all . I paid the service charge and my premium faithfully for no service. What a gimmick they have going. I’m planning on switching to something else!

Contractors don't want to work with them as they don't pay like they say in 30 days. Could not find a garage door repair except by me calling them and they did not want anything to do with Choice. My other time I used Choice took over two weeks to get a leaking drain fixed. I had to make all the calls to find out why it wad not getting done. Will not renew with Chouce.

I am reluctant to even give one star to Choice Home Warranty. Worst home warranty company ever. I filed a claim on July 10, 2023. It took one month to get a service technician to come to my home to check microwave. He said it was an easy repair and would submit info to company. Took two weeks before I got an email saying repair was authorized; I have not anything since then. I sent several emails to choice and have yet to get a response. I don't have the time to wait for hours on the phone for a "live" person

Choice sends multiple automated emails about my claim, but talking to a person with actual knowledge of the situation is impossible. I have received three emails saying my claim is approved but the contractor they hired has heard nothing from them. They also bury you with advertisements even though I already have a multi-year contract with them. Do not use this company!

I've been waiting over 20 days to get my refrigerator fixed, first they said they were waiting on parts, now they say no parts available and still has not been fixed or resolved. I'm very disappointed in the lack of customer service. I call and never get to speak to anyone all I get after every email is give us 24 to 48 to resolve, well 20 days is way past that.

Easy enough to have the appointments scheduled….. clearly these service calls are low priority for the technicians…. We’re typically the last call if the day with no communication from them…. I’ve had 3 calls (one guy arrived at 9:15 pm) and so far, one guy stood us up & nothing has been repaired on the other 2 issues… I’ve now burned 3 weeks and am starting from scratch aka calling my own repairman.

You think you have peace of mind with a warranty. But you have to wait and fight for anything. Took over a month when our fridge died. Had a $2000 3 year old fridge and they gave us $989 for a new one. You can't buy a new one for that with all the features our other one had.

Upon filing a claim, I liked how quickly they got it in the system and got a technician assigned to our case. However, once the technician came out for the initial inspection, the hassle factor dealing with Choice Home Warranty began. They denied claims that were valid or they call the issue pre-existing. They postpone services until you get so frustrated that you pay to have it done yourself. It is hard for me to recommend a company that is so unscrupulous and hard to deal with.

I feel I was miss leading when I got my service contract. I had lost my air conditioning and I have health issues such as asthma and I can’t go without air in the dead of the hottest days. It took over 3 days to get someone to come fix it. I was made to believe it would be done in 24 hours top. If I had know this thst they were just a go between company and all their stuff goes to other companies to get the work done. I would of rather paid more for my plan and had it fixed the same or next day

It took 4 weeks to get our AC fixed in hottest month in recorded history. I had to continuously call to check the status of the install. Apparently there is a company policy to only allow in coming calls from customers, that’s ridiculous. Anyway I’m not happy and I hope never need to use your company again for anything.

I am not pleased with CHW. The time it takes to get a tech for a claim, most techs are ok but claim is not completed I feel like you are not getting records of professionalism to take care of the situation. Last one as of last week, came to unclog kitchen sink, only left me with my sink leaking, the solution that was used turned my sink black and stained. I need to put in another claim because my kitchen sink is in worse condition. It did not have running water coming from the pipes under the sink. I can not use my sink. I could go on, but I just want to discuss my most resent issue.

In the past year we have had a slab leak, which should have been covered in our policy, as well as multiple calls on our dishwasher. We have been denied for the slab leak and parts of the dishwasher and we’re left to cover the repairs in full from our own pockets. Whenever we need to call about warranty information, the calls are outsourced, which leads to miscommunication and frustrating conversation.

Due to your negligence on the EPA Laws, Choice failed to let the tech repair our A/C by refusing “stop leak” being used. We are in the process of filing a complaint with the Florida EPA Office in Tallahassee! Now 30 days from our service complaint, we still have an open call. Now maybe, we are scheduled for a service call tentatively set on Sept 9th!!

My A/C has not been fixed. Please have your service firm contact me. I believe they had to order a part that they didn't have. As they didn't have the standard part I needed for my York A/C (and due to dangerous temperatures inside my condo, I had to have the firm I have a maintenance contract with come and give me a loan model without delay.
