Our Icemaker quit working.Mr.Gabe came and checked it out.He knew in a minute what the problem was.He ordered a new Icemaker.It took 2 weeks for the Icemaker to come in.Mr.Gabe came on a Saturday and installed it. Mr.Gabe has a very freundlich deminor.I highly recommend him.

My HVAC system died a few days ago and when I called, the young lady was pleasant but not terribly informative. She subsequently left a voice mail for me and game me a direct line number to call--which was helpful, BUT she has an accent, and I had to make several calls until I got the correct number. She has a good command of English but tens to speak very quickly, and that's when she becomes difficult to understand. At any rate, they have to send a tech out to "diagnose" the problem although, I KNOW the problem. Whatever!! At least this is a work in progress so I still have hope of getting the situation resolved and heat back in my home!!

I liked that I did not have to pay for the technician’s services after the first diagnosis appointment, when my claim was reassigned due to the technicians’ failure and refusal to provide additional information that was not apparently included in the initial work order. I also appreciated that the company was fairly responsive, once I would call to notify them of an important detail concerning something they had missed; or to request reassignment of the claim to another technician. I did not like, and became extremely frustrated over, the company’s failure to adequately respond to several texts I sent through their site messaging system. I received only standardized replies which consistently failed to provide the information I requested. I’ve learned that you have to call their customer service, wait in line to speak to someone, and address the current issue. However, most times, when I finally reached a representative, they were able to answer my questions and provide the information I needed.

I’ve had CHW for around 3 years. During that time, I have had a half dozed or so service calls, including through the COVID 19 debacle. In balance, they’ve done a very good job, replacing a board in my dishwasher , offering very limited cash ~ $350 towards a new one(took their offer), fixed a plumbing leak, fixed a power loss to my clothes dryer (today), and replaced my hot water heater…all of these for my annual subscription price and a $65 copay for each visit. For me, this warranty coverage makes sense. I am a widower, live alone and am 74 years old. Not handy, either.

Our last home warranty company did not cover a lot and wants to keep charging more and more for add ons like washer and dryer, an additional $70 a month for that. The service fee also went up on our last company $25 dollars making it $125 per service fee. I am a real estate agent as well, and look for better companies with greater value to offer my buyers and sellers. I am excited to try this company out first hand and be able to recommend a more affordable and comprehensive plan. Being a real estate agent also gave me a deeper discount switching from our last plan over to this company.

I am satisfied with CHW. They consistently support the claim requests and the customer service has been quick and responsive when needed. The service fee and monthly rates continue to increase which is a bit of a concern. If they begin to exceed $100, I would cancel. Other than that, I am happy with CHW.

When I tried to place a claim I was transfered and was told agents were busy. I then was told to leave my phone number and the first available agent would call. After waiting almost an hour I went online and found where I could place my claim. I did that with no problem and was given a claim number. I was told a service technician would email me with an appointment time. An appointment time was in my email the next morning. The online experience was much better than the phone call experience.

We bought Home Warranty after buying our first home. At first we were concerned about the price, but Home Warranty help take the bite of the surprises along the way... just as badly wired rooms and a defected water heater. Definitely worth the price and the customer service is great!!!

I had not read the choice home. Warranty manual. I asked service for outside leaking faucet, choice home warranty assigned a plumbing company for that repair. When the service company came and determined that it needs to be replaced and needs CHW’s approval which was denied. I had to pay $45 to the plumbing company for just showing up. I think when I request service for out side leaking faucet, the request should have been denied. Few other times also I have faced the same situation.One the AC coil was leaking, other time microwave door hinge was broken, each time no service was provided and service call had to be paid. I don’t what more to saying

My Air conditioner at my house went out on Sunday night. I placed a claim on Monday morning at 7 a.m. I live in Southern Alabama on the gulf coast and the temperature was 80 degrees with 80% humidity and the technician did not come until 12 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The temperature inside was 92 degrees before our AC was fixed. I would expect better from a home warranty company. There are service providers that will come 24 hours a day. AC/heat should not be out more than a few hours. I would expect a home warranty company to do business with high caliber service providers that provide emergency service around the clock for necessities like power, heat/AC, water. 30 hours is to long to be without necessities.

The initial start with Choice Home Warranty was a rocky one. I was asked to contact customer due to more information being needed. While on the line with them, I was emailed my claim was denied. The representative on the line didn't even tell me that, she just worked her major and got me an appointment to have my cooktop fixed. I can't give a full 5-star due to the site doesn't have a place all the selection you need to explain issues. But the agent was superb and the technicians who finally fixed the cooktop were top notch even though it took over 2 weeks to get parts.. ;)

The sign up process for the warranty was very easy and didn't take long at all. I was a previous customer so my information was already in the system. The thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars and that aggravated me to no end is the fact that I continuously got phone calls for about a week after I had signed up with Choice Home Warranty. I guess the system didn't recognize that I had indeed signed up and was a customer. THIS flaw in the system needs to be corrected Please and thank you.

Set up the initial claim, we stated the garbage disposer was leaking at the bottom and the undersink area had standing water. 3 days later we finally received a claim number. The assigned plumber couldn't come out for 9 days later. So, we could not use our sinks for 9 days. They finally came out yesterday at 4:15. When they checked out the problem, they confirmed we needed a new disposal. They went to get one and called and said we now needed a new claim #. Choice Home Warrenty was now closed. Didn't want to wait another 9 days, so we had to pay for the instillation, dosposal and service call. Got a new claim number this morning. Hopefully we will reimbursed for some of the cost we paid out.

Last week my dryer broke. I opened a ticket with CHW an within a couple days a repair technician came and diagnosed the problem. He wanted $170 from me to pay for the required part. This is over and above my copayment and the CHW reimbursement amount to the technician. He told me that the CHW maximum for the repair was $250. If you add the $170 from me, the $250 from CHW it comes to $420 to repair a 10 year old dryer. The heating element needed replacement but if it was repaired how much longer before the motor or some other expensive part would fail? My suggestion is for CHW to consider the circumstances and offer their customer a cash alternative when appropriate. In my situation, we both would have been winners if CHW offered me $100-$200 to get a new dryer which is exactly what I did anyway.

They picked a good company to send out to do the repairs and they handled everything without even talking to anybody except for a voice on a computer on the phone. I didn't have to wait a long time to get a response, an e-mail telling me that a technician was gonna get in contact with me. And I learned that everything that was said about them before when it was recommended to me was true so far. So far I'm paying 100, that's it. They don't run you around or anything. They just took care of the issue that was covered and sent out a good technician that took care of everything.

I disliked customer service. There was too much background noise. I don't know how the rep could here me. CHW sent Pro Appliance Medics to fix my washer. He was here but the washer still leaks water on the floor. They told CHW that I needed a plummer. That there was a line blocked. CHW opened a new claim and I will have to pay another service call. I am not happy about that.

Choice was there for me when we had an A/C unit go down. They were patient while we tried to get in contact with the tenant who complained and would not answer our calls. When we finally did get a hold of the person they said they had fixed the problem. Not sure if I will get charged a service call or not but at least Choice was there.

Some things are claimed and appointments made for repairs quickly and its repaired or replacement funds given within 30 days toward replacement. Others No. Found out every 30 days you have resubmit as new claim if no company wants to do the repair. Also if parts are ordered and I do not follow up on status of repair. No action is taken from Warranty and you have to start from scratch. And submit 'new' claim and pay another fee as you are starting from scratch. Overall I like having this warranty just very frustrating that many of these issues are not explained. Also no type of update if you go to the website to look at your claims. So unless you call and check with them it sits there. And there is no comments that it has been canceled and you need to submit new claim. So average stars for average service 'Manager' rep told me it was in the paperwork they sent me. And he would send again. Which he didn't. Good customer service would take the time to read and explain to me the actions I need to take to ensure my claims are taken seriously from this company.

The only negative was a lengthy spiel about locking in a great by paying up front for a six year commitment. Come on, who would ever consider that?

First time, first year customer; Liked: ease of filing claims, on-line responsiveness, garbage disposal claim #3 handled start to finish within 5 days, one call approval to the tech on-site within a few minutes. Didn't like: Claim #2 dishwasher, technician doing work was great, but wrong part was sent to him delaying repair by weeks and necessitating 3 visits. Claim #1 pool heater: apparently pool companies dealing with this warranty co, don't get paid enough/don't want to travel to north co. San Diego, so it took months to get this repair. 1st assigned tech bailed our assigned appt. as his other no. county job cancelled, he didn't want to travel an hour and he said he could not easily communicate with warranty company except on line which was not adequate for him. Weeks later I found, and was going to use my own designated tech (which Choice told me was allowed once per year), and that one could also not navigate the Choice on line system, so he cancelled on me. Third tech was good, driving over an hour, but had to wait weeks for Choice to get him the part which I apparently could have gotten via Amazon/other within days. It's hard to believe there is a lack of pool companies in San Diego county. but maybe there are few willing to accept Choice Warranty business. I have been told some techs will not accept water heater work as reimbursement to them is too little or some plumbing repairs as customers can't wait for Choice approval/parts system in an urgent/emergency situation.
