They were the number one choice for realtors throughout Columbus Ohio but I have cancelled my warranty with them. I needed to use my warranty for an air conditioning issue. It took 10 days to get a repairman out to inspect my unit. When he inspected the unit, he only partially inspected it and reported back to Choice Home Warranty, and they ended up not covering my claim. The repairman so the issues were the fault of the home owner so I appealed. Their customer service is not very helpful.

Initial contact and service was quick, however, the service company was to order a part and I have never heard back. When I followed up with Choice Home Warranty, they said they would follow up with the technician and never heard back. I followed up and this time never got a response to my e-mail.

Went through hell trying to get someone out to fix issue, I finally found a company on my own I stuck with the expense to fix issue. Horrifying to know I could not us my paid for insurance as promised. This better not happen again. Send me my money

Horrible company. Very rarely fix anything so I typically have to pay a $60 call fee for nothing and have to pay out of pocket to fix the issue myself. Not to mention the almost $50/month I pay CHW. They were supposed to send me $200 for part of my water heater replacement. That was in January, it is now June and I’m STILL waiting on that check to come in. I have called and left message with my case worker Glendalys Alvarez as well as emailed her multiple times. Still no check or call back. Hate this company and will discourage anyone from signing up with them.

It's hard to get access to customer support but once you reach them it's good. It's the access that is a little delayed and a little complicated. The quality of some of the technicians are not good. They're not reliable.

We needed it for our furnace and we were told furnaces aren't covered. We needed it for our kitchen sink and faucets aren't covered. Lack of coverage. There was one time we had a plumbing situation and the person came and investigated and dug a hole in the wall and just left and none of it was covered.

I always have to fight for them to fix and pay for a repair. Last issue was leaky pipes serviceman came about 8 days after filing the claim when he showed up the bill was going to be $500 they agreed to pay $51.00 out of the $500 plus I had to pay the cop pay of $45.00 not happy

This is the second time I’ve been denied on a large claim and had to hire my own repairman. The company I hired diagnosed the problem much differently than the repairman Home Choice sent out. Home Choice repairman said the whole AC unit had to be replaced. My repairman said it was the motor and was able to replace it on the existing unit. The motor replacement should have been covered but I was denied repair by Home Choice.

Their provisions for emergency service calls are unrealistically stringent, like getting service for the heater on a winter night/weekend. Ok for non emergencies, like the washer or drier.
