About a month ago we needed to use our warranty for a noise in the air conditioning. The company that they sent out was not very professional. They should look into other companies because they contractors they are using are not in Choice’s best interest.

Stay away from Choice Home Warranty. I was under the impression that this was a good company. It has not been. I submitted a claim and they scheduled three appointments and it took the third or fourth for someone to actually come out. It took more than a month froe m to get assistance. They want to take your money but not cover what the contract says they will cover.

Choice Warranty is slow with everything they do. My air-conditioning went out and they scheduled someone to check it in about two and a half weeks. I had to get checked out myself and paid for it myself and I am still waiting on a check to be reimbursed.

They don’t cover half of what you need. I thought they were a good reputable company but they don’t do what they advertise. You have to fight with them for everything you want to get fixed. I had to replace my AC unit in my condo two months ago in North Caroline and they refused to follow regulations, which didn’t allow him to install a different unit on the roof and mismatch to the handler. Also they only offered to pay fifteen hundred dollar when it cost me seven thousand dollars to replace it.

The price is good. We’ve used the warranty several times, five times for our dishwasher and it is still not correct. Once we spend 200 dollars on a fan and they reimbursed us 70 dollars when they said they would pay 100.

I needed a warranty on stuff like the pool and other electronic appliances. I think they should give priority to emergency services. They scheduled me a week after when I called about a drainage blockage so I had no bathroom or toilets working for 4 days.

Every claim I have submitted has been has been a problem. First of all the vendors sent to my house have negative comments about working with Choice. Second, obtaining parts has taken days. Thirdly, the fine print does not cover the parts I needed. For example, my well pressure switch was defective. Not covered. I paid extra for coverage of my well & other exterior items. Anything with my well is not covered. The pump, switches etc. My hot tub had a bad control module, not covered.

They will not answer calls or call back when messages are left. The warranty I bought states air conditioning upgrade...I had to file a claim and they are trying to do the cheapest and not even replace with similar quality items.

At the time, I thought that Choice would be the best because they kept saying if they can’t fix it, they will replace it but that is not true. They couldn’t fix my refrigerator and they wanted offer me half the value, which is not replacing it. That is false advertising.

Because of the delay in taking care of my air condition I won’t recommend them. It is taking over a month to get resolved. After waiting for 2 more weeks just to get the parts in, they finally completed my ac. I filed the claim on May 4th and it got repaired on June 29th. They refused to do the proper testing to find the leak until I agreed to pay $200 out of pocket. Then they took forever to approve the repair after doing the leak test. Then they took a couple more weeks to authorize and get the parts. What a nightmare.

We’ve only had one experience and that wasn’t very positive enough for paying forty something dollars a month. I was really tired of American Home Shield when I switched to Choice but they would have covered the washing machine and Choice did not and that was a very first claim. We are disappointed because we are seniors and retired and have limited income.
