This was a nightmare. My fridge quit so I called them and it was 3 days before a technician came and he couldn't fix it, had to order parts. From there it was 1 month until a technician came to my house. One very stressful month. How long is one expected to go without a fridge. Finally we had to go buy one. No one communicated with us and phone calls only made me angrier. And they won't refund me for the service call . Don't do business with this company, they're terrible

- The claim from May 1, 2024 still has not been resolved for my overpayment of the service call for a Fischer Paykel dishwasher. - Each year, I start getting calls and texts from Choice asking for me to sign up early. The calls start about 3 to 4 months prior to the actual end of the warranty contract. This is annoying and has now become an irritation. - Calls to the Service Center are not answered but routed to another department and no action can be taken. - Calls to the Service Center are not followed up.

Terrible service. I was sent an email by Choice Home Warranty saying that I had appointment on June 6 between 11 and three. No one showed up when I called the repairman. He said the part didn’t come in yet and that he hast to put an appointment in there regardless if he has a part or doesn’t have a part, which to me, makes no sense at the very least. Choice Home Warranty should’ve called and told me that they would not be coming because they still did not have the part pretty sad and pathetic. I will not renew my subscription .

Kind of feel like it is a bait-and-switch. "Oh yes, we cover everything." But the fine details are (a) we only cover actual value not replacement value so...old dishwasher goes out and you get $246 to replace and the cheapest dishwasher is $600! Or "only covers materials not labor" so things like installation, delivery and sundry all fall on the owner. Sure, $246 is better than nothing but coverage is normally only a drop in the bucket for the full expense and you have to deal with their timelines and contractors. It's not all it's cracked up to be.

Can't talk to a live person. Takes forever for a claim to be resolved. I have 5 people in my family and I was without a washer for a month. Without a shower for 2 weeks. I ended up replacing my own hot water heater. Horrible customer service. If anyone is looking for a home warranty company do not choose this one.

I’ve had to wait sometimes a few weeks for someone around here to take the jobs! I also had 7 trips Inpaid for to get my garage door totally working again! That cost over $400.! People came Burberry not qualified . I had to buy a new opener, they didn’t code the request correctly and I didn’t have the receipt to turn in if I would be reimbursed! Just issues with each claim and wait time!

You advertise replacement value and it is misleading. My washing machine new was $900+ and it was given $560 to replace it. Also you have spotty representation where I live to repair pool equipment and appliances. Past suppliers that you sent to me have complained you are a slow payer to them and will not work with you going forward.

Absolutely terrible company! If you like 10,000 emails a day about how they want you to renew your contract. Also, they can care less about your issues when they happen. I went over 30 days with an AC problem and over 1 week with no hot water because they couldn't find anyone to come out to fix the problem. Read the contract, because the "things they don't cover" will definitely surprise you. I would never recommend this company to anyone and I will turn and run as soon as my contract is done with them.

CHW does not live up to promise that a repairman will be in the home within 48 hours, There is no customer advocacy for covered problems. I called when my refrigerator cooling was not working. CHW scheduled an appointment for 5 days later -- which meant all the food spoiled. WORSE the repairman did not show. CHW took no initiative to get another one out immediately -- instead -- scheduled the second appmt for another 5 days out. 10 days to service a refrigerator that is not cooling! Ridiculous!

DON’T GET THIS WARRANTY!! The ice maker on my 20+yr old refrigerator went out and no one had parts for it. They first denied my claim saying that it didn’t constitute wear and tear. IT’S 20 YEARS OLD!!!! I paid $518.92 to repair it. I appealed it and they finally gave me only $230!!! I had another claim on 23 yr old washer and they also denied it! I appealed again and they only gave me $218!!! I’m very disgusted with them!! 🤬🤬🤬

We filed a claim two months ago . Still crickets. I’ve called and they always want to return the call and they do but I’m always away from my phone. Returning calls is bad. The status says active but nothing is being done. Our HVAC cools/heats part of the house but not other rooms. I’ve sent documents over where it has been inspected and still no follow up. Hopefully when they follow up with my claim I can give a different rating.

Choice Home Warranty has rarely held up to their end of the bargain. I've had 2 recent claims cost me over $5000 out of pocket for failures caused by normal wear and tear that Choice claims were not. Even the technicians they've sent out have said it was normal wear and tear and nothing I could have done to prevent it. When I've tried to fight the determination, Choice has lied even when the photos were right in front of their face and mine.

No one told me when I signed up at there are maintenance people in your organization that won’t go to Ajo Arizona. My refrigerator broke, I put in a claim, two weeks later I call about it and find out company couldn’t find anyone to go out there to fix it. I found someone and it couldn’t be fixed. I bought a new one, filled a claim 2 weeks ago to money back and nothing has happened. Not even a mention that my claim will be accepted.

Then ended up receiving payment for one faucet vs 2 and nothing fir my toilet. When I finally spoke to amanager they explained I had done it wrong and that's all I would get. I was shocked when my claim was denied to repair the broken handle of my refrigerator. This was definitely not caused by misuse! I paid $85 and nothing was done to fix it! I informed the person of the problem when I put in the claim over the phone. I wish they had told me that this wouldn’t be covered before I wasted $85!
