He was courteous professional knowledgeable of his profession. He shared with me what he was looking for testing The only thing I was upset about he went outside to call in his parts etc but stood outside for over an hour half waiting for pick up from the call in (guess he was on hold) in this horrible heat after waiting outside for over an hour or so (I think it was closer to two) he decided to come in call back later. He said he went out because of some personal information he had to give out he should have stayed inside said something to me I would have gone to another area

My first claim with C.H.W. I was very pleased with the service. I had MSJ Appliance call me the next day to set up an appointment. They came the next day to fix my Dryer, they didn't have the part and had to order it. MSJ explain to me what had to be done, they took there time to explain what had be done and had to be approved by C.H.W. , witch was approved right away, they said it would take about 5 days to get the part. when the part came in M.S.J called me to set up an appointment, they came the next day. Over all I was satisfied C.H.W. and M.S.J service.

Like the fact home coverage for appliances can be purchased through this company, don’t like the fact that they inspect the repair, get an understanding of costs for parts/labor involved and try telling to customer that “this appliance repair is not part of your appliance warranty or only partial service is covered”, I had a recent plumbing issue and the guy from repair company (external contract company for Choice Home) told me that the repair is not covered part of your appliance protection which is weird given how basic the plumbing issue was and I was told to pay $350, disappointed with how they service overall..

Able to file a claim online day or night. Just submitted a claim at 2 AM. Don't need to search for someone to do the repairs and get estimates. Choice Home Warranty finds the repair person for me. Paid in advance for 6 years of coverage. A water heater repair before I got the policy nearly cost me as much as my multi-year plan. The cost of filing a claim is very reasonable.

I like the fact that it was easy to enroll with Choice Home Warranty. We have not used their service because our appliances are in good shape, but the enrollment process was quick and simple. What I disliked is that I received email after email after email and phone call after phone call after phone call to enroll. I honestly think that they shouldn’t inundate peoples inboxes. That said, every email came with a deal. I got $125 off and first month free.

The Tech (Tom) from Bennett & Sons knew exactly what the problem was. Just a clogged pipe. Within 15 minutes, after clearing th clog, and checking the freon level, I had A/C. No freon required. The company (FPS), that you sent out, before this one, was not reliable. The tech (John) said my A/C needed freon, but he wasn't sure it was available, because of the supply chain shortage.

I liked that the process was quick and easy, and the claims specialist was easy to talk to and understand. However, the price that was offered by CHW to reimburse me to replace my oven was extremely low. CHW gives reimbursements in the form of a Lowe's gift card, not cash, but Lowe's does not even have an oven for sale that is cheap enough to be bought with the gift card. I know CHW gives their reimbursements based on their cost, so then the customer should be given their reimbursement in cash so that we can find a cheaper oven from another supplier instead of having to buy from Lowe's at a loss to us. Also, I think it's unreasonable to wait 2-3 weeks for an electronic gift card to be emailed to me. If it's electronic, I should expect that to be able to happen within 2-3 business days.

The work was done Quickley and efficiently. The technician was able to identify the problem and resolve the issue. We had an issue with the refrigerator repair in Choice was FANTASTIC but they used Sears Home Service and even though we paid the technician at the time of service we are getting bills from Sears. The service order # is 41662336, the Service Unit # is 0008366 and the service date was 7/31/23.

Fortunately, I have only filed one claim since switching to CHW, but I was astounded at how easy it was compared to my previous warranty company. The call-back was speedy, the scheduling was uneventful, and the selected vendor was top-notch. There was not one single hiccup in the entire claim process and I couldn't have been more pleased. I recommend CHW on a regular basis and am happy to do so.

Still enjoy doing business with your company - finding it to be longer to get contractors to sign up for work - nice to have an option to find someone to repair certain problems faster by hiring them , but that is a bit unsettling wether they are capable or not - hope you still are keeping contractors available for the warranty work by keeping the payables close to 30 days - I have heard over time that is an issue - All is well !!

My A/C went out in May. Choice assigned an local area contractor within 49 hours. They even apologized that it took that long. I had the A/C repair approved and repaired within a couple of days. I am impressed with the sense of urgency they demonstrated. It left me with the feeling that they really understood my predicament and the inconvenience of not having cool air during hot weather days.

Had a thermostat issue. AJ, the H.V.A.C technician was very responsive and worked with me on getting a new thermostat. I was in the HVAC industry for 22 years. I knew what specialized thermostat I needed and worked with AJ to facilitate getting it. AJ installed the thermostat in a timely fashion. He communicated well and arrived when he said he would. He was respectful and left me his cell number if I had any additional questions or needs.

I have found Choice to be OK. I have put claims in 4 or 5 times over the years and 2 or 3 times the work was either fully or partially covered. (READ the small print). Look, I understand they need to make $. I understand that and I am fine with the small print restrictions. The MAJOR reasons I will continue to use them are: #1. They are fairly responsive and #2. MOST IMPORTANT TO ME - They send qualified technicians. For me, just getting a qualified person to show up is worth the cost of the coverage even if I have to pay out of pocket for some or all of the repair. The one thing I do not like...after the service techs do their assessment, some of them will NOT wait for the approval. They want to reschedule.

Setting up appts is most efficient. The techs come in do what is needed to resolve the issue. Then, a couple of months later the same problem starts all over again. I'm becoming rather hesitant to call because the initial fees add up and the issue isn't resolved. So far, I've paid over $5k to have problems taken care of. The toilet that was leaking last your that the tech 'repaired' is leaking in the same area again. there's still a pipe leak somewhere in the wall that keeps the carpet in my closet damp. I have to keep a dehumidifier running in the closet to absorb the dampness in the carpet. When I called CHW and reported this issue, the tech replaced the shower head as opposed to listening to me, and checking for the real problem. Small issues are resolved, then come right back. The a/c unit end up costing me $3,500, out of pocket fees, The water tank cost me $2,290. The washing machine cost me $455, after CHW's reimbursement. I am still having the issue with the light in the kitchen because the tech did what he thought was wrong and again did not listen to me. The ballast component is faulty and was not repaired by the tech as I told him. As far as your rates are concerned, they pretty much on par with ever one else. And, as far as recommending my friend or family, the tell me to find another HWS. I've had three years to observe, and rate you.

Terrible information and wrong interpretation of the contract from the customer service representatives and their supervisor, "Donniel." Always trying to milk customers into paying additional service fee, even when the initial issue hasn't been fixed, within 24hrs and refusing to provide an address/contact information for customers to lodge complaints. Perhaps, training is needed in that department and, or referral to your legal department before these representatives gives out incorrect information to customers. However, the technician and work performed were excellent.

TJ came when per the schedule. He was professional, he was in a truck with the logo on it, he had a name tag and a uniform on. I liked that CHW paid for replacement of my broken garbage disposal, as promised. I paid the service fee and everything else was covered without me having to mail in papers , etc. The company they sent was very good. My only complaint is that it took over 40 hours for CHW to contact a plumber. I contacted CHW about the issue on the morning of 3/23/23. (Thurs) I received an email from CHW very late Friday night that they had scheduled a plumber for the following Tues. Had they contacted a plumber sooner, I may not have had to wait so long. I live close to Columbus, OH so there is not a shortage of plumbers.

I have to give a "4" star rating due to my recent experience (04-11). Claim processed on line, appointment scheduled for 4-8, no call/no show. Called in on 04-08 rescheduled by repair company for 4-11 Winston Doors. Representative- Kenneth showed up said motor had burned out, needed to be replaced, that he would contact Choice to explain, and collected the $65.00 via CC, would not accept any personal checks. He told us he would replace the "Lift Master" for $700.00 and rollers for $100.00. He made us think this was okayed by Choice. He also said he would have to order part and scheduled for 4-18. I received a text and call to schedule installation on 4-14 which really surprised us, but agreed on date and time. Kenneth, installed garage opener and rollers then my husband paid him via CC. Approximately, an hour later my son came over to look over the installation, he questioned the make of opener since we were told it was to be a "Lift Master". The opener was not that make because Kenneth did leave the box of the garage opener along with the old garage opener. He contacted "Lift Master" was told with the unit installed it was not the same product/ nor the same quality. They also stated we had been overcharged by $400 for the unit that was to be replaced. Also, said the "t" bar should had been replaced with the HP that had been replaced. We attempted to contact Winston Doors, no answer, text no response. I contacted your customer service dept, immediately as well. Your representative attempted to contact Winston Doors could not get an answer or leave message as well. Your rep said we should receive a call in 24 to 48 hours due to our complaint, to present date 04-18 @ 12 am no call from anyone at CHOICE . Your company are responsible for sending this company over to service our issue, your company is responsible for any work done to repair / replace. This company took advantage of us, we are senior's we took the repairman at his word, since you sent him over. This is why we choose a company like yours, to help us seek out honest repair companies. We are out over $900 which is the opener/$65.00 your service fee All previous claims we had have, we have had no issues with payment or service. We pay your firm on a yearly basis, this is how much we have trust in your company

The contractors to fix the plumbing are great. We thought we had it fixed, but unfortunately, there was more to the problem. I called in a "recall ticket" to CHW. The agent on the phone did an excellent job getting the information and sending it out to the contractors who will come and finish the job now that the FULL problem has been realized. This is my first experience with Choice. I had another company for years -- probably the biggest one. I had to drop them because their service went downhill and they were unresponsive to an issue that wasn't fixed, yet still took my money.

I think that Choice does a pretty good job with its customers. I do feel that they should make sure that the contractors they use are honest and not trying to get over on people. I've had a situation with the AC technician a few years ago that tried to scam me. I also had a situation with another AC technician last year that replaced my fan to my outside unit, but he only replaced the motor and then he put my older fan onto the new motor which caused a problem later where I had to replace the unit again because the old fan broke. I did nor report this to Choice because I felt that I would have to pay another service fee for the same issue. I am having a hard time trusting any of Choice AC contractors.

Pros: By far the most economical and cost effective home warranty plan. Signed up with 2 more home owners for 5 years and got an additional year of coverage as bonus. But what you pay is what you get. Choice Home Warranty will only repair or offer to buy out the appliance for a fraction of the cost to buy a new replacement. So if your appliances and systems have repairable problems and don't need replacement, you save a ton compared to AHS and other home warranties. Savings that you can use to buy a new replacement and still come out slightly ahead. Submit claims on the website and the service ticket is dispatched to the repair companies. The repair companies have generally been good but there were certainly some bad ones that just came to collect the service call fee and not do anything. Reported the bad ones to Choice Home Warranty and they assigned another repair company without having to pay the service call fee again. The new plan which starts next year got rid of the frustrating exclusions that they had. Cons: The old plan that I am currently on has exclusions which can make the warranty useless such when HVAC system stopped cooling. Choice Home Warranty refused to cover the repairs and replacement stating it is probably caused by corrosion or leak. 0 coverage. Choice Home Warranty does not let customers call the repair companies directly. The service ticket has to come be dispatched through Choice Home Warranty website. Repairs are done when a repair company is available. There is no priority, no emergency. For instance the water heater stopped working in peak winter. Going through Choice Home Warranty, it took a week for a repair company to schedule a visit. Meanwhile a local plumber repaired the problem within 24 hours.

Was very happy with Choice, our icemaker went out on a Sunda.y. I went on line and filed a claim. Monday I received a email stating that it had been turned over to RipRock Appliance Company. RipRock was here within a day. The repair person was great he even noticed our seal on the refrigerator was bad so he got them to approve the replacement. We have a new icemaker and our fridge is fixed too. Thank you ChoicevHome Warranty.

The technician that came in was very friendly and handled the situation very well. He came on Tuesday, evaluated the dishwasher and realized we needed a new part. He found the part was in-stock and came back the next day and resolved the issue. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is simply because I submitted the claim on Saturday, and the appointment could not be scheduled until Tuesday. I did receive an email from Choice Home Warranty apologizing for the delay, which was great. Communication is key! It wasn't the end of the world, but it was more than 24 hours from the time I input the ticket.

What I liked about this warrantee is that they were so quick to address and rectify my problem. My heat pump died. They had to replace that and the heating system inside to match the new heat pump. A new unit was ordered and available a week later. The installer arranged to come at my convenience days later. They did a good job. I am pleased with the new system, also.

At first, I was a bit hesitant to choose Choice Home Warranty due to the bad reviews I found on the web. My previous provider raised their price two years ago so I thought I'll give CHW a try. My first year (last year) with CHW was actually quite unpleasant. The first time I requested service, it took over 3 months to even get a service properly scheduled and get my refrigerator repaired, that was after I asked them that I'm cancelling my contract. I spoke to a supervisor who offered me a better deal to give them another chance and for me to remain with them. I believe in second chances, so I did. This year, I had a water leak and needed an urgent repair. When CHW cannot find a contractor to service my order right away, I was given the Claim Reimbursement Option and look for a contractor on my own. My water leaked got fixed the same day, submitted my claim and I got the reimbursement check within 30 days. I would say their process has greatly improved. What needs improvement thought is their phone representatives' courteousness and better customer service. I'm giving CHW 4-star rating for now.

The short phone call to set the whole process in action was all it took. Followed by a technician visit to confirm the problem and get approval from CHW the next day. The technicians arrived early the following day, and installed the new parts and our furnace was up running. I loved the quick service and the professionalism of your staff member. He was able to fix our refrigerator while others failed at this task. What I do not like it the flood of solicitation emails this company sends out. Why are you soliciting me when I am already a paying customer? Why so many even if I was not a paying customer? It is annoyng and would be a turnoff to me if I was seeking home warranty services. I found you online on my own. Because of this, I would hesitate to recommend you to others. I am sure others would have no problem doing the same. Even with this review, you are asking me if I am a paying customer!!!! This is an insult since you collect money from me for your services. I really liked the technician. He did a good job and explained to me what the problem was. He took care of it and was very cordial. What I did not like was the wait time and the not knowing between the time I called for service and the time the work actually got done. I can only assume that Choice Home thought my problem was not an emergency and therefore could wait until Monday even though I called the Saturday before. It would have been nice if there was some verbal correspondence (as I only talked to a machine) to let me know exactly what was transpiring and to confirm that a two day wait would be ok. It would have alleviated the anxiety I was feeling over the issue of my kitchen sink leaking.

Our first two experiences were not good. The vendor that was selected to resolve our issues were not capable of fixing the problem and then the second one brought the wrong parts and didn't return for more than a month and this was before the so called supply chain issues. Since those two experiences we had the ice maker in our refrigerator go out and the vendor selected did not know how to fix it. He replaced a part that was not needed that did not fix the problem and when we brought it to his attention he did not do anything to fix it. We eventually went out on our own and found a qualified technician who diagnosed and fixed the problem immediately

The technician came out to diagnose the problem, they ordered the part and they fixed the problem. My experience with CHW was absolutely smooth and stress free! I love working with them. I have a Choice Home Warranty. My refrigerator and freezer quit working. I reported it via email. They notified of the date and the service provider. The service person came and made diagnosis. It was about 12 days waiting for parts. That probably would have been the case with anyone. Then the service person came back and fixed it. Happy with Home Choice.

Choice home warranty is the best decision I have ever made I have had multiple breakdowns in my home over the 3 years I've now had them and it was never a problem to have my items fixed they fixed my water heater they fixed my stove and even so much as recently coming and fixing a drip in my shower it has been a very cost effective and wonderful service I thank choice home warranty so much
