I had a dishwasher that was wrongly diagnosed for the problem; Choice Home Warranty wouldn't allow a different diagnosis from a different repairman - they required that the original diagnosed problem be resolved first (with proof), before they would authorize the correct diagnosis. I spoke with someone in claims who said a leaking dishwasher would not be covered. I ended the contract.

I had an issue with my laundry washer a month ago and reached out to my home warranty provider. They promptly sent a technician who mentioned a part needed to be replaced. However, after 15 days, the company reassigned the case to another technician, who then claimed there was no issue at all. This back-and-forth and lack of communication caused unnecessary delays and confusion. The customer service could be improved by ensuring better coordination between technicians and providing consistent updates to the customer throughout the process. the issue is still not resolved and case is closed

I had a problem with dryer your technician came and checked it out. I paid him the $75 and from that point never heard from him, tempted to call him and finally reached him and he said he was waiting for approval from CHOICE to proceed with my repairs that never happened . In the meantime, instead of waiting for him, we purchased a new washer and dryer. If this is a representation of the contractors that you hire for repairs, something needs to be improved immediately. I’ll be contacting you in the near future to cancel this contract with CHOICE

And when I asked to speak to someone above who called me the representative stated she was the boss and I could not discuss my case with anyone further. Choice said they would replace my dishwasher and offered $246 to replace. When I said that was unacceptable they offered $357. I said that was unacceptable so they said they would come repair, after a repairman has been here 3 times and I’ve paid $225 service call. Meanwhile I am inundated with sales calls wanting me to renew my contract. So far I’ve been offered over $1,000, $700 some odd , and $660 to renew. I will never do business with Choice and I will tell everyone I know what a ripoff you str.

For the past 2 times I’ve called for service, the company they sent doesn’t show up on the day and time they’re supposed to. The last time I called for a leaking washing machine the technician they sent didn’t fix the problem. It was still leaking the next time I used it. When called to come back they refused and said that they already fixed it and they weren’t gonna come back. They also didn’t show up on the day they were scheduled

I like the opportunity to have a coverage for home repairs. However, I am not happy with the response time to get repairs. There seems to be a problem getting companies to do the repairs in a timely manner. My most recent claim took about 4 weeks to get a service representative here. When you call for the warranty you speak to people outside of the US and they read off a script. Even though it maybe listed that they repair something there are a lot of exceptions they don’t tell you about. They had to get someone 3 hours away to do my repair which they don’t cover most of it still costing me $1000.

AC unit not cooling was reported, T-stat was set on 75, house temp was 81 degrees and outside unit was running constant. Prompt response from CW and from AC contractor was great. AC tech was great, informed me and CW, that the problem with my 12yr old AC unit was inefficiency, Only 10 degree difference across the coils but should be 18 to 21 degree difference. AC tech stated to me the unit needed to be replaced and turned in his report to CW. CW reported to me "NO PROBLEM FOUND". THANKS

I filed an air-conditioning claim on August 14, tomorrow is September 12 and the service is still not been completed. I’ve spent over an hour on the phone daily between calling the warranty company, the air conditioning technicians, and now the manager at carrier is involved, but for some reason, no one can get the orders straight to complete the installation. I am over 65 years old and have been living in hundred degree temperatures without an air conditioning for nearly a month.

I have two Minisplit a/c units. One was repaired then the other had the same problem identical and they denied second unit based on they said they should not have repaired the first on with same problem. They are pitiful. If they should not have repaired the first one then they wouldn’t have. They blamed it on the company they themselves recommended. First unit repaired is working fine. Never buy choice home warranty.

it looks like Choice picked Sears to come fix our AC unit. they pushed the date out till Oct 12th that was unacceptable, my wife and my self are 75 yrs old and I just got out of hospital the day before I filled the claim. I call Choice and your CS person told me to call Sears to move up the date. Sears said they could not. We would have been without AC for over 15 days with no AC. Reported my bedroom section of my central AC was out August 06, 2024. As of today September 06 2024 ( 1 Whole Summer Month) my unit is still no repaired. I have made dozens of telephone calls and spent hours on the phone with Choice. I reported this nightmare to the BBB and am thinking of going legal. I am 84 yrs old with a history of serrious heart issues.
