CHW refund policy for an appliances that can't be repaired is BS. Up to 30 days to get a credit is BS. I'm going to reach out to CHW head quarters and other customers to also join me in getting this policy changed ASAP. Unacceptable policy and needs to be changed immediately.

I absolutely 100% would not recommend Choice! and if you have Choice get out! They are the worst they string you along until your claim is over 30 days so they don’t have to replace items. They taught their staff to do the stringing along. They’ve also instructed them to hang up on you. They say they work on the weekends, but they actually have an answering service which does nothing my advice again get out.

Case manager have poor communications and definitely not an advocate for the customer, no follow up , no callback which would have made the overall experience valuable for a first customer filing a claim . Definitely a poor experience overall. The tech was Dan he was great very detailed and took care the first pork needed , he was the best thing in this process hands down . Considering going some where else due to poor customer service from the case managers .

I’m disappointed put in my claim for my washer on 08/11/25 and the technician came on 08/18/25. Got approved for a replacement on 08/18/25 and I still haven’t got my e-card yet. Today is 09/05/25. So I been without a washer for 26 days. ☹️

When i received an appointment from a company I've never heard of with a phone number from another state, I questioned whether this was a good match for us. When I finally was able to reach a live person, she put me on hold to "look up my account" for 9 1/2 minutes and then hung up without saying another word. This is unacceptable. Amazingly unacceptable.

Everything went wrong. They are terrible and should never be considered for Home Warranty. I submitted a claim on April 27 for repair of my stove which was not heating CHW is a terrible Home Warranty company. correctly. Their customer service is beyond awful. It took two weeks and me calling them every other day to even get a technician scheduled. Then once they came and assessed the issue, then they made up a reason to deny my claim with no factual basis Then when I protested, they did not respond to my inquiries over and over again, then my May 23, they declined my claim saying it took to long. Their whole system is set up to make submitting a claim and getting timely service as difficult as possible.

Worst experience with this company. I was approved for a water heater replacement but they refused to pay for the installation. So I discovered that they will only pay $300 for the installation and will leave the rest to the customer which was $455. Nowhere in the contract does it mention that they will only pay $300 for labor and or installation. They use the term "uncovered cost" and try to blame it on the plumbing company they use. The only other option they gave me was to buy the water heater myself and they would reimburse me after sending in the receipt. However, they only offered me $417 dollars for the water heater which costed over $1500. Stay away from this company!

Agreed to a one year prepaid premium of $613.50 and gave my debit info. Specified the debit was only for one year's premium to be debited. Right after, they offered me the VIP premium offer if I signed up for 6 years. I considered the offer then was informed that the 6 year's coverage was to be prepaid as well. I balked...refusing the offer. They told me my cancellation was accepted. Upon discontinuing the call, I checked my account, the debit for the UNAUTHORIZED amount of $2835.00 had already been removed from my account. Then I get an email detailing the cancellation and that my refund would be returned within 15 to 30 days! Don't deal with them...a combination of used car sales and fly by night solar system companies. And now, at 75 years old, I've been bit by all 3.

This company denied my claim when the condenser motor failed and (potentially) damaged the door seal. Their excuse? Because the seal was damaged—even though it wasn't leaking air—they refused to cover any of the repair. I appealed, explaining that the motor likely caused the seal issue in the first place, but they wouldn't budge. Their reasoning makes no sense. Instead of using common sense or standing by their service, they hid behind a technicality. It’s clear they have no interest in honoring valid claims—only in collecting monthly payments. Bottom line: They’ll take your money without hesitation, but don’t count on them when something actually breaks. I’m switching back to American Home Shield. They may cost a bit more, but at least they consistently covered my repairs without a circus act.

This company sale you a dream. My first claim was denied because of a valve that failed in my A/C unit and just so happen that valve is not covered. They keep telling me to read my contract but my contract don't list what valves in your system is not covered. If you say you cover the A/C system why is there exclusions? My system has been shutoff by the people they sent out and now they're telling me to call the repair company and ask for a discount to get it fixed. I have no trust that this company will repair any of my claims. Horrible warranty plan and I am canceling my contract dont care the money I will lose. I'm not giving them anymore of my money.

Think Twice Before Choosing Choice Home Warranty I want to share my experience with Choice Home Warranty so others can make an informed decision before signing up. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. This was our second issue with them. The first time, we had a plumbing problem that they initially denied, yet we were still charged $75 for the service call. When I called customer service, I spoke with a representative overseas who apologized but said the fee was non-refundable. After a long conversation explaining that the issue was real, they finally sent another technician, who ended up fixing it. This entire process took two days and caused unnecessary stress. Today (3/11/2025), we had a roofing issue after a rainstorm caused a leak. We called Choice Home Warranty, and they sent a repairman. He confirmed there were multiple issues and submitted his report. However, the company once again denied the repair, even though we were charged another $75 for the visit. Since the problem needed to be fixed, we decided to pay the same repairman directly from our own pocket to get the work done. One thing to be aware of is that the company charges a $75 fee for every service request, and in my experience, they have denied repairs even when their own technicians confirmed the issues. Additionally, if you have multiple problems, each must be filed as a separate request, requiring another $75 non-refundable fee per visit. After dealing with this twice, we’ve realized that relying on this warranty service has cost us more in time, money, and frustration. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision before choosing Choice Home Warranty.

The two times I file claim I have to cancel because they do not have providers in the area. One other time they send someone from Austin when we have the property in San Antonio, the electrician did not complete the job and place a follow up 3 weeks down the road, have to hire somebody else to fix the problem. Do not fall this company they are not good, same bad service like the other companies in this business.

I am not sure we are spending our money wisely with this program. We had a garage door repair gut come out and did a little maintenance on our door only to turn around and give us a huge quote to update the door to good working order. My husband had to go out and fix the door after the guy left.

The worst approval rates. Many claims went unpaid. Examples: garage door, water heater, HVAC repairs, outside light fixture, and many others. You advertise that you cover these items, then make it an art to decline the claim and mark it as not covered. Then, you take credit for hooking me up with a freshman contractor out of college. Choice Warranty is not amazing at all. My mistake was buying the policy for 5 years and paying upfront. I don't recommend this rip-off company.

The warranty is worth it when it actually pays but most repairs are considered outside of coverage costing me the warranty AND out of pocket full price repairs. My HVAC was a large one and I had to find out from the assigned company after months of ignoring me for Choice denied the repair. I didn't receive an email as requested from review or even a call.

Took 2 weeks to get someone to look at my water heater that just needed replaced then still cost me over $400 out of pocket. Had a claim in for a dishwasher for 4 weeks and still hasn’t been looked at. Save your money and put it into a savings account.

Not only do I have choice or warranty for my personal residence, but I also have it for a number of condos that I own in Florida. I am extremely disappointed. Every time either I or one of my rentals has an issue somehow when the service rep calls the company they don’t approve it. It’s ridiculous. You can be sure and come the end of the year. I will cancel service for all eight properties.

I've been waiting over 5 weeks for my oven to get fixed. Technician came and said the part was ordered and should be received in 4 to 5 days. Still no part 3 weeks later. So I guess we're not having thanksgiving dinner this year because you can't cook turkey and dressing without a stove. Your company needs someone to insure parts are ordered and delivered. I have never had a problem with choice until now and I'm not very pleased with the service I've received or not received until now.

The service company requires choice to process a new ticket for the recall but it has been an act of congress to get it done. My 24 year old AC unit broke down. The AC contractor told me that it couldn’t be repaired and needed to be replaced. Choice Home Warranty that the only thing they would cover was various defective parts in the 24 year old system. The contractor told me they couldn’t guarantee the repair. Terrible service! I am very unhappy with Choice Home Warranty. I tried to get my microwave repaired or replaced for 5 months. Then they tell me that they wouldn't cover it after I paid out a total of $130 in service fees. So I had to order a new microwave & pay for it myself. I told them that I wanted to know how much I would get back if I cancelled the 14 months left on warranty for both of my homes. She told me I would get back $4!
