It was the night before the Fourth of July my AC went out technician says I need a new motor. I said will put it in he had one on the truck he says I got to get approval from Phone choice and it would take till Tuesday for days after the holiday. That's absolutely crazy. I challenge your managers to call me up. I had eight people coming to my house and we had no AC because the motor had to be approved before we put in why can't you start approving things when we call. If the motor is out and you have the part installed and reconcile later

A couple of months ago, it took them about six months to get a part I needed for the conditioner and then two to three weeks for someone to come over to install it. In that time me and my wife were without air conditioner on the main floor. My wife is a cancer survivor so it was very tough on her health. They kept telling me the part was ordered but it took a long time.

We got choice to cover the air conditioner and they didn’t cover the air conditioner. We paid the sixty five dollars for the technician to come out to be told the part wasn’t covered so we wound up having to pay several thousand dollars to buy a new air conditioner with no reimbursement from them.

I’m not happy with their service. I was talking to a claim specialist and she didn’t like what I said so she hung up the phone. Their customer service department does not have enough knowledge to handle claims properly. You cannot deny claims just because, there should be a reason for it.

Choice Home Warranty has consistently turned down coverage from multiple things that have gone wrong. I had a problem with the freezer, which is overed under a separate additional payment. They sent someone out and after I paid the sixty five dollars, they informed me that the cause was mice therefore they couldn’t cover it. If you have ever had any mice, squirrels, or insects in your home, I wouldn’t even think about it.

They dispatched a HVAC person who had several bad reviews. The repair person said the repairs did not fall under the "normal wear and tear" Choice Policy. After further investigation I discovered I was overcharged, AND the tech did not repair the A/C unit. I further had a second technician who ultimately repaired the unit. CHOICE did nothing to help, no did they apologize or cover ANY of the cost. I would never get a home warranty policy as I can see that they make every effort to say that the repairs are not covered.

Two claims over 3 1/2 years and both denied - In the first claim I was offered a compromise (why offer a compromise if the denial said it was absolutely not covered?) _ The second claim was denied after initially accepting the claim - I feel Choice just denies and the sees what happens and see if they get any complaints) - Choice does not care about policyholders, only if they can avoid paying anything

I have contacted them regarding a blocked shower drain twice. I have been sent information regarding plumbers scheduled to take care of the issue. The worse ever. Have been without our freezer for 6 weeks now and counting. Lied every step of the way. Finally agreed that our freezer needs to be replaced. Then they off me about half of what I need to replace it. Then they tell me it could take 4 weeks until they give me the money. I got locked into a 3 1/2 year contract (paid in full up front) and no refund.
