Choice has been disappointing. I used them over couple of years, maybe three times, and only once has it been satisfactory. I used my warranty because my air conditioner went out, I called Choice Home Warranty and they sent technician out and they refused to pay anything saying that the unit was too old for them to cover. The last customer support agent was good, but in the past they have been dissapointing.

Terrible customer service, terrible case management, terrible contractors… Sears changed install parts date three times… last time didn’t even show up and then said they had come and weren’t home…sent plumber to fix toilets and had to come twice to fix and still didn’t fix… we took apart and fixed it ourselves… canceling contract and going to American home warranty… probably no better but I am fed up with choice… just the worst

Because the part that was not working was the electrical lights. I got a text from you stating that you don’t wanna do things like that. I feel that the electrician knew that you did not cover it but came anyways and charge me $60. The only thing that y’all were concerned both you and the service man was the money he wouldn’t even look at the electrical part of the lights

They are a bit hard to deal with when booking a claim. They denied my claim for what I considered something non pre exiting on my AC unit. They made decision based on an inspection report vs a licensed AC contractor. I will not be renewing my contract with them and I won't even bother calling them for future items I don't think and I will deal directly with the vendors. I am very disappointed as I feel they are quick to take your money but then are also quick in not helping you or even meet you in the middle.

My Under the Cabinet Range Hood was not working. I called for the service . The technician came and said it will take 7 -10 days as has to order the fan to fix it. My claim was declined even though should have been covered. It clearly states in the contract that rang hood is covered but they said only attached fans are covered which is not indicated in the contract

Between the service and the cost, Choice Home seems to be the best. The minute you put in a claim, it is taken care of. They are very responsive. Choice is always wonderful finding someone. We had our air conditioning go out and Choice put us in touch with the company that would help us. They determined the unit had to be replaced. After the fact we had some problems and we were not charged again for any of the work. We were very satisfied.

They bait and switch. They say they will give you money to replace the exact model of appliance, but then when they say they can not repair my $700 dishwasher, they give me less than a third of what it costs to buy a new oone.I will say they are timely sending out a repair person. That is why they got 2 stars instead of 1.

They are not consistent in the interpretation and implementation of the terms of the contract. It is a game of “I gotcha” as to how they can find ANY lame excuse to deny a claim. On 3 occasions I paid service deductible but because the way the service provider wrote up the diagnosis CHW denied the claim. Can you imagine covering the hot water BUT NOT THE TANK ITSELF! I caught them on a phone recorded lie. Will NOT renew.
