They do not honor their warranty. Repair and after 3 months wanted to repair again rather than replace furnace that technician recommended replacing. Carbon monoxide was seeping into our home due to the furnace condition. Choice Case Manager stated that was not their concern, and the part would have to be replaced again and then see what happens. No concern for my family's safety. Worst customer service ever. Paid for coverage for seven years and the first time a replacement is recommended they push back. Awful!

Choice Home Warranty is good as long as you can use their contractor to correct the problem you have in your home. If you try to use your own contractor such as a plumber forget about the insurance paying for it.

The contractor assigned to our HVAC claims provide incorrect and incomplete information to Choice which resulted in a delay in resolving the issues which resulted in us going with another vendor to service our FAILED HVAC system at our cost. We did not renew with Choice because of this incident

Waiting 4 to 5 days for an electrician is unacceptable! I think you need more than one company of each trade, so one company does not hog up all the services and have to wait for them to have time for the service!

I have to work and we would set a time, call me 30 minutes before, and then they said we were at your house, you weren't there. Nobody contacted me to be there, and that happened a couple of times. I had a brand new refrigerator that went out and it took 4 months without a refrigerator before they came out here and fixed it. They came out once, the parts were back-ordered, blah blah blah. Then when they finally came in 2 months later, they were damaged, so I had to go almost 4 months or more without a refrigerator.

My refrigerator was leaking. CHW sent a tech. Tech ordered parts. Parts took 2 months to arrive. Tech called to say parts had arrived but CHW had closed the claim. Tried to explain situation to several CHW phone people to no avail. I had to pay ANOTHER service fee I guess as punishment for waiting for first tech to receive parts. (Both techs were professional and thorough)

I've had to call 3 times and they had sent the wrong person out to my home for the service that needed to be conducted. I had a plumber for a roof leak, and he came because he thought that there was something in the attic, like an air conditioning unit that was leaking. So the call center needs to get people that know what they're doing when they translate over to whoever is going to send out someone for that. That call cost me $75 for him to tell me he doesn't do roofs.

We filed a claim, they denied the claim. We had an appeal and I had a meeting with the case manager. They agreed to pay a portion of the claim and we were going to take the other portion and pay for it. I never heard back from anyone and that was last week.

It's very difficult to get in touch with them. You have to use their online system and then wait for someone to either e-mail you or call you back. You have no idea when that's going to occur. I was able to find the phone number for them online searching for just contact information, nothing on their website specifically.

The vendors they choose seem to be good people. But all I hear from them is that they don't ever get paid for the warranty company. And the warranty company keeps pulling tickets from them so that I can't actually get the work done. Which just makes everything take even longer. Their level of service has gone considerably downhill in the last few years. I have been without heat for 3 months now. I can't get any customer support.
