I have had home warranty for over 7 years. American Home Shield is the priciest. Select Home Warranty sent a TV tech for a plumbing job..which was an automatic cancellation of my policy on my part. I have had Choice Home Warranty for 4 years. So far they have been the best with a 90% coverage on my claims. My latest claim was for my split AC, leaking, not cooling. Claim was put in Nov 2022 after several visits from AC technician, and contacting Fujitsu in Feb 2023 my AC unit claim was approved for replacement!! ..however there is a yearly cap. I just wish my claim that I placed in 2022 was approved in 2022. So that I can fix my second unit in 2023.

There were two technician that came to my house within the past two days - one came for the washer, which is OK. He explained to me that the washer would cost more to repair than buying another. But, I have not heard what cone next, and buy a new one or will there be any partial costs added towards a another washer. . The second technician was awesome. He came in. He checked the situation out. He realize what needed to be done and he did an awesome job, he also called and I was able to reach out to him. The first technician was from Sear. It is very difficult to communicate with them because they only use text and email you cannot reply back to the email or you can if not reply back to the text and when I tried to do a live chat, they only give you pre-program questions - they schedule appointments from 5 to 8 is difficult for someone who has to work you need to be able to have a timeframe so that people can make better arrangements .

The technician arrived 4 days after my call to CHW. It started on Saturday so I understand the delay in checking out my non functioning microwave. Being in our 80’s we use the microwave all the time so we are totally lost without it. The technician was great, but had to order parts, which arrive today 2/9/23. Then they DON’T return for the repair until 2/13/23 so no more cooking 4for 4 more days. I understand things do not happen overnight and I commend CHW on your commitment to your customers.

They scheduled repair appointment quickly and service tech kept me informed on his arrival time. He told me that my ice maker was bad and needed to be replaced. He did put everything back together and ordered replacement. The odd thing was that from that time forward, my ice maker worked better than it had when the refrigerator was first installed. I called and told them I didn't need a new one, so a different tech came out and I explained everything and he simply took the new one back. Ice maker still working fine 🙂.

I called for service of my hot water heater. It was right around New Year's so I had to wait for service. No problem waiting it was the Holiday. They sent out a top notch service man. He did testing to find a out it was a really bad burnt element. He had to call his company to get authorization to replace. Then it was fixed. It did make a little mess due to the leaking out of water. I love my home warranty service.

Once I completed the initial quote, a representative called me immediately. I was reassured Choice Home Warranty had the proper vendors to service my rural area. Really did a good job , Specially when I complained about the first contractor they sent me , ( SEARS SERVICE) the guy they send , never called and never came to the house. SEaRS service is really bad… I commend 5V Electronics, and Edy is really Nice and very patient. He calls us every time …. And Edy is patient 👍 I’ve been a Choice Warranty customer since February of 2017.

It was such a relief when my dishwasher started making a loud noise and didn't drain to know that I didn't have to trouble myself with finding a qualified repairman or worry about the cost of repair/replacement.

We used the online platform to schedule an appointment for a leak with our garbage disposal. Within 24-hours we had an email with an assigned plumbing company and a date/time for the appointment. On the day of the appointment, we were notified when the technician was on the way. He arrived, diagnosed the problem, received authorization to replace the garbage disposal, and replaced it on the same visit. We were very pleased with the entire transaction.

He explained the issue and had to order the part unfortunately, but the part was in in a couple of days and was back replacing it. it is very reassuring to have such a great company looking out for their clients. The service member was very courteous. I had already discovered how to remedy the issue with our microwave. That discovery was just 15 minutes prior to his arrival. I explained the situation, but knew I would still pay my deductible. He came on in to make sure it was working properly. Upon looking at the microwave he commented that he had never seen a microwave like ours before.

I have insurance with Choice Hone Warranty. They are a good company that have did many things for my home. Recently my heat pump failed and they had it replaced for me. I thought it would be free but it wasn’t. I paid for the condenser and the labor. They paid for the air handler and they got a condenser for me at a great rate. The technicians they sent were great.

Although Choice Warranty apologized for not being prompt, I thought that they were very prompt in addressing my repair issue given that I filed my request on the weekend. Advanced Heating & Cooling was the company that showed up to perform my A/C service. They were professional and fast. Choice Warranty is much better than my previous provider and at a better price. The coverage is also much better. I am extremely happy that I made the switch to Choice Home Warranty.

The tech the approval time and the ordering of parts was all excellent. I would have given 6 stars on that part of the service. The only reason for the 4 star was because my initial call in customer service had some language barriers and did not understand my explanation of things. He immediately said my claim was not valid. I tried to explain in different way multiple times and he still could not comprehend what I was explaining to him. I eventually just said to send a tech out and that I would explain to him. He did and it was great service from them on out. We had to have a furnaced replaced and they did it in a timely fashion and with no hassle.

I am very pleased with the friendliness of the customer service communication, which is why they get 4 stars, but coverage is not impressive and the contractors sent to our home are very subpar. Sometimes I feel, we have more experience than the service people have, and this is concerning. When a claim is declined, to get any reasonable explanation as to the reasons, the explanations are relayed by unknowledgable communicators who really have no way to research with any confidence as to the reasoning. When a dispute is submitted and a second contractor is sent to inspect, even when the original claim appears to be inaccurate, the Choice Home Warranty company won't override their original inaccurate claim results. So, it is useless to get a second opinion because they are unwilling to even compromise with the different investigations for repairs. When I have spoken to independent repair companies, they roll their eyes with the reports the original claims contractor states. Disappointing that obvious repairs inside the home, are not being covered, when they should be. Also a couple of times, these service calls were not even repaired, just giving me a 1 sentence opinion about the problem and then charging me for 2 service calls when only 1 repair was resolved. Example-kitchen freezer water line froze up and garbage disposal leaked. Same service call-2 seperate charges-told me to thaw my frozen waterline and tightened the disposal connection. He literally did nothing but give me a 1 sentence statement about the water dispensers frozen line. No tools, no inspections-just a bill.

My rating is based on response and professionalism. I like the way you address the requests so quickly. The people you have sent here so far have been very professional in checking the refrigerator but the problem is still there. I can not keep paying for service calls for the same problem. I wish the problem with my refrigerator could be solved. I don't know when the knocking is going to happen but it does during day and night at unpredictable times.

The service is great. I had a plumbing issue under the Bathroom sink and my water heater died, on a Friday night. The service man first came, in 4 days, to diagnose the problems and then submit it. After it is approved, another service man came to fix it. The water heater, on the other hand , they had to order. I was without hot water for 12 days. I took one cold shower, which was unbearable. It gave me an ice-cream headache for the rest of the day. Thanks to the YMCA and friends for the use of their shower. I heater water to do dishes. The wait was beneficial. They replace it with a high efficiency water heater. I had to pay $65 service charge, for diagnose of the plumbing issue, and $65 for the water heater, on the same day. Then $300 for the water heater, but $0 for fixing the plumbing. I gave them a 4 star due to having to wait 12 days for hot water.

From the initial service request to the actual visit by the repain technician it was an Easy and pleasant experience. The gentleman who arranged the service cal was very pleasant to talk with and the actual repair tech was so very pleasnt and informative. Ray gave complete and understandable answers to my questions. Never seemed uncomfortable answering the questions or impatient in his answering. He was what everyone wants in terms of a service call, understanding the service issues being rendered.. Claim #440215568. I placed a service call claim on 12-3-22. A CHW technician was supposed to come on 12-6-22. between 7-11 AM. 12 noon I called them, said he had a flat tire and would call when he would come. 2:15 pm he called and asked when he could come . I said now! that is the last I heard from him. He didn't answer or return my follow-up calls from then until 3 pm on Thursday 12-8-22. McCoy Electric & HVAC should be removed from Choice Home Warranty service call list. Done Right Heating & AC was dispatched on 12-8-22 and completed work on 12-13-22. I am satisfied with their work.

Dustin checked out the garage opener and door to determine what was causing the door to not open correctly. He found several issues, one being the opener needed to be replaced because it was not working at all, no power from the motor, but also finding adjustments needed to the door itself. Dustin was very professional, friendly, informative, and provided his contact information for the return visit for the repairs.

The price is fair. The customer service was in the USA. SO REFRESHING! This is the first time I had to use my warranty. The tech came out as scheduled and verified the problem that I included with my request for service. After review of the tech's report, Choice decided it was more cost effective to replace the microwave. It took an additional appointment to plead my case that the amount offered was not close to what it would cost to replace the unit. We settled on amount. It will take several days to receive the email with the Lowe's gift card for the amount. Nevada was very courteous and listened to me and understood my case. She was empowered to make a decision without going up the flow chart. Great customer service.

My claim was processed quickly and the technician Steve from A&e was wonderful. The only little problem I had with choice home warranty was the extreme length of time it took for them to approve the items needed for the repair while the A & E , tech Steve was here. He must have waited 20 to 25 minutes for that approval until he finally called them and waited then another 5 minutes.

We have had great experiences with CHW. There have been two problems, one was not CHW fault at all. The person that had bid on the job lived over 100 miles from where we lived. After talking to him we called CHW and they immediately found us another company to come repair our refrigerator. The other problem has been when hiring our own repairman to fix the problem. We don't seem to be able to get this done.

Choice customer I spoke to arranged for an appointment with a technician to be set up promptly and I arranged my schedule to be home at that time but then I received a phone call from the service provider’s office the day before the appointment that they were coming that day instead. Fortunately I was home that day. All worked out well however. Technician called ahead when he was on his way, arrived on time, was very polite, competent, explained what had caused the problem and repaired it in short order. He also gave me tips on how to maintain my garage door to avoid future problems. All in all a very good experience using Choice.

When I was contacted from Choice to have OnPoint do the repair, the original time was not a good date as I already had an appointment. The accommodated the change that I wanted. They where on time, explained in detail what needed to be done and what the home warranty would probably want to do. choice Home Warranty has saved me so much money! I had to pay the fee up front for five years but it has given me so much peace mind. They answer quickly and schedule the repairs thru known companies. I pay a small copay per service call. During the time I have used them, I have had my stove repaired, a plumbing stoppage corrected and my refrigerator repaired. Each of these would have cost me hundreds but I just paid my copay! When my contract expires, I will renew!

I had two warranty calls within a week! While repairing my furnace, the HVAC contractor noticed my toilet on the first floor was leaking. So I called that day to request a plumber. Both appointments took a few days after I called, but the contactors who responded were polite and helpful. The plumber was even wearing booties without my having to ask.

The following day there was a technician that arrived and thankfully he was able to fix my issue very quickly. I paid my copayment and that was it. When you become a homeowner you have NO idea of underlying issues that don't reveal themselves until you've already signed on the dotted line. There is a sense of peace that comes from not having to worry about forking out hundreds even thousands of dollars when "life happens" and you need something repaired/replaced in your home. That being said, it would be nice to have my current monthly fee grandfathered in. The current rate is almost twice what it was when I signed up two years ago. When your income flexible, every penny saved counts. Other than that I would recommend CHW, unless you have expendable cash lying around.

I have been a very satisfied customer of CHW for years. This call was for my AC system. I was a little disappointed it took 7 days to get the repair done, but that was the fault of the first company that came out that decided to not work the job, so we had to receive a 2nd evaluation. The day the work was performed, the technicians arrived at 3:40 pm and stayed until 11:40 pm on a saturday evening to confirm the system was working properly.

CHW support was immediate and much appreciated. The Technician called and he had a cancellation and came out a week earlier than the appointment. The issue was a clogged clothes dryer duct. While he did clean out the dryer vents and the inside ducts, he said his company does not clean the ducts that extend in the basement and the back of the house. Took his check and left. Could barely speak English. I was out of town so my adult daughter was home and didn’t question the issue. So now I’ve scheduled with a local company for $199 to clean the 25 foot dryer duct that runs to the outside.

No one but God deserves five stars! That being said, CHW was able to negotiate with a veteran and give all possible options that is needed. Hopefully I can update this review once I order service, because it’s inevitable for homeowners. The sales associate was patient and respectful of my need to contact my better half for needing agreement for the purchase of our home warranty. He also informed me that he could give me a better price if did so and so after I agreed to the original agreement. Of course this is good salesmanship and expected, but at least I wasn’t disappointed. All we have to see now is if they are worth their weight in gold! And I can cancel and get my prorated $money$ back if TSHTF! Awesomeness is a “Choice” home warranty!

I was having a ridiculous time with a sears tech coming 20 mins early and then calling and rudely telling us he expects us to be there when he arrives! When told he was 20 mins early, he proceeded to say he could not wait for us and would be leaving. Then never returned, including following day. Neither did 2nd tech they said they would send. I called CHW spoke with IVY and she took care of everything, sent another company at no cost.she was a true example of customer service, unlike Nicole who was short and could care less.

I called yesterday to report my garbage disposal was no longer working. They immediately scheduled an appointment with a tech for today. The tech was here less than 90 minutes, diagnosed it could not repaired and installed a new one. And all I paid was the $75 service fee. Getting a Choice Home Warranty was one of the best decisions I've ever made. This is the second service call I have had to make. Both repairs were made in a timely manner and they always send quality techs that are courteous and never leave a mess for me to clean up. Definitely five star service.
