I had a problem with my oven cooktop and they sent someone to fix it and he fixed it and then within a month it broke again, same problem. The coverage was excellent. However, I recently received a notice from Choice Home warranty that stated the could not replace the control unit and would have to replace my Samsung oven and cooktop. They offered me a 390 dollar Lowes gift card to replace an 8oo dollar unit! We will negotiate on 10/17 @ 2:15P.M. Central time. More to come. I got he answer from the 'Case Manager" today. We argued back and forth and she finally came back with a $595.00 topout. It still won't buy the range I have or an equivalent. So the warranty promise is BS! She said they don't pay retail they pay wholesale costs, which would be fair if I could buy wholesale and there is No Way I can buy wholesale! I'll take the money and get what I can, but I guarantee I will not renew this contract with this 'bait and switch' company!

I had my microwave go out. The guy came over and told me point blank you need a new microwave oven. I said okay, no big deal. I called Home Choice warranty and it took about a month and they sent me $249. It was a gift certificate for Lowe's.

Biggest mistake of my life. Any request or claim I had opened was declined or delayed, so I quickly understood that this company just scams people. They do not cover anything because they don't want to pay for any repairs that are supposedly covered in the warranty. They end up declining very legitimate claims that were supposed to be covered and wasting my time and money for the deductibles. We had a pipe leak. Came home, there is water lekking from our bathroom ceiling and I called them and they said, we have to send the technician to comment, evaluate and then after that we have to do this and that. While my room is falling on my head, I asked them if there is a way that they can do an emergency, they said no. So I had to pay out of pocket, call an emergency company to actually come, stop the leak, fix the problem. My ceiling was all cut up and broken. I called them back to cover the expenses since they didn't do their job by sending the technician right away, and they declined it. They said no, we're not going to cover your expenses. You should have waited and ruined your whole house while we're trying to find you a technician to come and fix it five days later. Another one is our AC stopped working. They sent us 4 different technicians and they came in and messed up all my house, going up and down the roof and doing whatever. Ended up declining the case saying one of the problems that's causing the AC to not work is something that we don't cover. There were like 10 different things that were covered, but they just chose that one part that is not covered and declined the case. When I ask for coverage for the other parts that actually do cover in the AC, they declined it. So I end up cancelling because anything that I called they they would decline. The only thing they covered was the garage door, which I actually paid out of pocket. I paid the technician visit. Technician came and looked at it and fixed it. I ended up losing over $400.00 on this fake warranty. The salesperson signed me up for 3 years and then after 2 months I had to cancel it and I lost about $400.

The ice maker is broken. I had one man come out to fix it, that didn't fix it. And then I had to pay another vendor to come out to fix it and that didn't fix it. And I paid a 3rd vendor to come out and fix it and it's still not working.

The contractors they send out are not the best. I've had to call back to get someone else to come back to my house because they never showed back up. Also if a part can't be found, instead of replacing the appliance they pay you for it & then you have to replace the appliance

If a service repair guy decides an appliance unrepairable, this company advertises it would replace it by giving you the funds to buy a similar appliance. However, the truth is that they give you a third of the cost of a similar appliance. I call that false advertising!!

I am disappointed that when an appliance cannot be repaired, I am not receiving the proper compensation for a new one. Instead, I have to pay the difference between the cost now vs. what Choice is giving for the new appliance. I was under the impression that if an appliance cannot be repaired that a new appliance will be provided for without additional cost to the consumer.

I've had issues with the repair companies they employ. Choice has helped to correct the situation in the end, however, a simple repair was far too problematic. In the end the repairs were done properly, it's the issues I had finally getting an capable repair company that is the issue.

They assign very small plumbing companies which sometimes are not even local. They are not properly equipped and may only have 1 or 2 employees. The second assigned company had their employee on my job walk off the job and refuse to come back. They sent their other employee to finish the job.

Last experience was a total failure. Took almost 2 weeks to get a plumber and when they finally found one, the tech wasn't even Qualified. Paid the service fee and was told he will need to send it to choice for the decision and it got closed and I still had a water leak damage behind my wall. I had to personally call a plumber and pay it out if pocket.

I got the service in November. In January my dishwasher stopped working. They sent our technician to fix it . He did not have the necessary parts, and at that time getting parts was difficult. I called three different times and spoke to the technician. Finally I called the company. They told me that they had closed out the account since they had not heard from me. They began the process again sent out more than one technician they were unsuccessful and fixing the dishwasher. But at the end of August I finally received a check to pay for the new dishwasher. However the check was not what it would take to get a dishwasher like mine. In the end I wound up buying a second hand dishwasher and moving out of the house. I found the company's service to be terrible. I found their follow-up to be terrible and I would never deal with them again

Impossible to reach a live person. Repair co they chose was totally incompentent and impossible to work with. When I had a call back I was told that I would have to pay another service call because the first 'tech' claimed the problem was lack of maintenance. I can prove not true. When I disputed the second possible charge I was told repeatedly that if I couldn't prove what was wrong w/my garage door opener when the next tech came out that I woul have to keep paying service fees until I could. My opener was not working intermitedly so no way to prove. They then refused to send someone - who couldn't come anyone for several days. Desperate for competent care I called a local company who sent somewone that day and diagnosed the problem as a failed computer board which the first guy didn't even consider. During this time I had received an e-mail message from CHW asking if I wanted to chose my own repairman and when I didn't see that message in time to respond to it (they only waited a couple of hours) I was then sent another message to tell me that my opportunity to choose my own repairman was now closed and I would have to pay the service fee for them to find me one. This is insane but a great way for them to avoid paying someone local to do the job their people couldn't do. I clearly bought a 'pig in a poke' when I purchased their contract. It's amazing to me that from the first day I bought my contract I have continued to receive several e-mails a week from their sales department offering to sell me again the contract that I had just purchased. They have no idea what they are doing and they owe me for the new opener that I had to purchase on mu own. However,I have no way to contact them to submit a bill added to the fact that they told me I had lost my opportunity to do so because I didn't respond in the short time they allowed.

Well two times my air conditioner went out, it went out last year and it was like last year it was like 97, I'm 80 years old and they could not get anybody out to take care of it so I had to have it done locally and out of pocket expense was 270 something dollars. This year it went out they couldn't get anybody out to me within 72 hours, I had just had Covid and I had pneumonia so I had to get that done locally again that was another out of pocket expense of a 127 dollars. A week later it went out again, I called them they said they would have someone out to check it within 24 hours, it was 48 hours and that was over three weeks ago and I still do not have an air conditioner. I have been told about 15 different things and none of it is true and it's going to wind up before it over costing me over 3000 dollars for something I had a warranty on. Hopefully they will get it fixed within the next six or seven days, I don't know so far it has not worked at. So no I'm not very happy with it I'm not happy with the company and I'm not happy with the way they response I'm not happy with their follow up through.

My microwave was not working, it was not giving power, so they paid me 50% of the microwave but it is a built in microwave which cost me to change the microwave which cost me about $900.00 and they say that the check will come in 30 days. I still haven't received the check, but they are offering not the replacement cost, only the partial cost. They don't listen properly to the customer, I am not satisfied at all.

I had the kitchen faucet replaced last year. The new faucet was dysfunctional and obviously of the lowest quality possible. For example, the faucet alternated between spray and stream on its own and I would then struggle to switch to the function I wanted. The plastic part connecting the faucet to the hose broke when I was extending the faucet to spray the sink. Choice refused to accept responsibility for installing an egregiously inferior product. Shame.

The repair of my dishwasher was failure because the the technician didn't order all of the parts required. The case manager decided to replace the unit, but for only $246. The best price I could find in the area was $450. Disappointed in the technician your company selected was not knowledgeable in dishwasher repair.

Very pure customer service. Two claims. The washer machine did not work and Choise home warranty approved a replacement. They never paid me one cent. At the moment, they gave me a replacement for my Dishwasher. They offered to pay me $246.00. For that money, there is no option to buy any dishwasher. I used the exact same dishwasher as I had. I paid $539.71 including tax. They tell me that they only cover retail price. I asked that they order or tell the lady where I can order. The answer was that they don't. Have I emailed at least ten times. In the last email, I said that I would sue them in the competent court. They immediately called me to talk to me. And again nothing. I think it is a very bad Company. I pay Home warranty for nothing.

A covered service repair under Choice Home Warranty's ultimate coverage plan was not reimbursed based on a technicality of not submitting the claim before the service was performed on our disabled HVAC system, even though we had elderly parents visiting our home that weekend from another state and the home was hotter than 80 degrees and rising. BTW...this was in early August with temps in the 90's outside. Choice Home Warranty extends no compassion for its customers. Even after I explained the emergency situation I had, and the fact that I used their approved HVAC company in their network of contractors, they still won't reimburse me for the cost of the replacement part (blower motor), less the $65 service call fee. When I asked to have the matter escalated to higher management, no name was given and only told to wait for a possible phone call. The integrity of this company is very poor!
