The refrigerator finally got fixed Saturday November 29th. I had to call four times to get answers when would they show. Had to order part and when I called they said part was in. Sunday November 30th a code showed up so I called them today to ask them what does that mean is it safe. Refrigerator is working just need answer. Will call Choice Warranty tomorrow to see if I can get answer. I understand it’s was during the holidays it took 21 days without a refrigerator. I couldn’t have Thanksgiving at my house but although I’m thankful to have family.

Initial diagnosis takes too long, several days or weeks after claim is filed and rarely resolved same day. Convenient online claim method, reasonable service fee amount. Choice is Very poor at replacing appliances when repair is denied, big hassle and always undervalues your appliance. Customer is always out of pocket. For example I'm still waiting on payment for a June claim, they only approved $272 to replace a high end dishwasher. They only give a LOWES gift card instead of cash/check which sucks. I've been a customer since 2015, not sure if I will renew again. In general I prefer home warranties for their convenience of not having to find your own repair contractor for initial diagnosis.

Was disappointed when a claim was denied to our HVAC motor for the blower. The actually motor arm broke off and caused the motor to fail. They stated since it was due to the arm break and not motor failure it was not due to age.

We had an issue at first, the appointment date was not met and I stayed home all day and no one came. BUT the next day the person came and he was excellent! He came in analyzed the issue, called me to tell me what day he would be back, came back on the day he said, called me 20 minutes before arriving. I couldn't have asked for a better service.

I have always been satisfied with Choice up until now. My AC has been out for over a week. Its 109 outside! My wife and family are uncomfortable and mad at me. I reported this and it took several days to get someone out to look at the HVAC unit. They said it needed a new blower motor b ut given that the system was over 20 years old and RF22 refrigerant is very expensive to refill, they recommended a new system. Choice took several days and then approved a rebuilt blower motor. The service company would not install an inferior motor so they approved a new blower motor ut then asked the service provider for a $75 discount. This has further delayed the repair. Now it is set for this coming Friday 13 days since my AC quit working. Almost two weeks without AC in near 110 degree heat. And I have been a customer for 7 years and paid 5 years in advance at the last renewal. I am very disappointed. They never threated me like this in the past

After submitting a claim with Choice Home Warranty, I waited four days with no technician ever assigned. I made multiple calls and was repeatedly promised updates, but those promises were never followed through. Frustrated, I took matters into my own hands and found a technician on my own—within just two calls and 24 hours. While the reimbursement process seems to be moving forward, they did not cover the full repair, and I now have to wait up to 30 days for a check in the mail. Disappointed with the lack of urgency and accountability. Two stars only because reimbursement (even if partial) is in progress.

He is out of Stanford, which is about 45 minutes from here and has called but still hasn’t made it- been like 3 weeks

Terrible experience when dishwasher needed repair. Choice kept scheduling repair people who didn’t show up, told us part was being shipped, then when I called to find out the status, they said we had to get a second opinion on a straightforward repair, continued to schedule people who didn’t show up, finally got a tech to show up and diagnose the exact same problem as the first tech. Part was backordered and when it arrived, was the wrong color. It was finally fixed but with a lot of hassle, waiting multiple times for people who didn’t show up (Choice said they had access to repair techs calendars but techs said they did not), and very unreliable customer service.

They "use" to be good a couple of years ago but I paid a LOT of money up front for a 3 yr policy & they can't get technicians to pick up my claim for most repairs because they don't pay them within a reasonable time! They have canceled my claim without notifying me and I've had to call back 2-3 times to get repairs for the same claim! I had a water leak for THREE WEEKS before anyone came. They've also DENIED several of my claims.

CHW is fine as long as you understand there are limits to what can be paid, which they don't really state in their information. After there was a huge freeze that caused major problems with our water supply CHW refused to fix anything, stating it was going to cost too much. The unadvertized limit is 3,000 dollars, apparently they said the cost to fix things would be 5,000 plus, although they claimed things that were more general society issues then specific to just our house. I had a second plumber evaluation done and he gave me an estimate of 5,000 so CHW was within their rights as a company owned by an insurance group to limit what could be paid out. I'm waiting for filed income taxes to come back to get the repairs done so our recently purchased home can have water again, like the other 124 year old homes that are being repaired by government money because no home warranty company will ever pay what's needed to get clean water to their customers homes

Terrible company. From the time a claim is processed to the time an appointment is made is abysmal. In the middle of winter, I had to wait SIX days for my furnace to be fixed. Not only that but I had just had someone out less than two weeks prior to that to look at it yet I STILL had to pay a service fee. Every service member I've talked to tells me Choice won't make you pay a service fee if it has to be re-repaired in 30 days. I've even seen it on the website but it's simply not true. I even reached out to the company to ask about that but no one ever got back to me. Customer service is terrible. The product is terrible. This company is terrible and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone.

Gosh, while listening to the repair guy speak with your staff on the phone, they were nothing but disrespectful to him. While the guy that came here was nothing but polite, kind and was here for over 8 hours in three days, we had to have it fixed by another company, that would not go thru all your requirements and waiting around to fix our heat. And we needed heat. I do have a washer that’s causing me grief, will try one more time and if it doesn’t go smooth for him , we will be cancelling with choice

The length of time it took them to have a technician respond was unacceptable. It was 3 weeks. The tech did a good job. Customer service is handled by a call center. The answer is always your claim is assigned and we are looking for a technician. This went on for way to long in my case. They make it very difficult to speak to a supervisor. One supervisor I spoke with was rude, background noise sounded as though she may have been at a bar, and she hung up on me without resolving the issue.

I have not had much luck with this. A plumber came out to fix a sink never was finished, had a pool person come out to look at our heater they won’t cover it, even though I purchased the extra service, need to have a hot water heater flushed and they’ve been nothing but rude and changed their appointment three times now and then told us that if we don’t make the next appointment, they’ll cancel on us when they are changing the appointments and it wasn’t covered under warranty. I still had to pay for the service to be done. I was expecting much more than this.

Terrible experience so far. I’ve had them for about 6 months and every time we call and make a claim no one comes out to look and CHW just keeps playing it off like they have no clue what’s going on. I was with American home shield before and heard this was better… absolutely not better. I had high hopes but it’s been just terrible. I put in a claim for an oven that keeps beeping. It’s been months and when I call They just keep saying they put it in priority but I never hear anything back. I called them for the millionth time the other day and they said I should just find someone myself, they couldn’t find a technician. Annoying
