If I could give zero stats I would. By far the worst home warranty company I have ever had the displeasure to work with. Their customer service reps haven't a clue what they are talking about and will straight up lie to you rather than trying to get actual factual information. The final straw was when my dishwasher went out, the technician sent them what was wrong, Choice decided on replacement, which was a 240 gift card to Lowes. Which barely covered the cost of installation, nevermind the actual cost of the dishwasher. All I can say is read ALL the fine print because they will try to screw you at every turn.

I finally received the E gift card after 3.5 weeks. I purchased the microwave, but have to have the old one removed and the new one installed. The repairman said he'd charge $150, the store charges $159. I feel that when a warranty company says they'll replace it, that should be included in replacing it. Sure they gave me $191, it was $209.00.

Sent Allred elec to fix ceiling fan. He called for authorization to replace fan. Man hung up on him and assigned claim to someone else. I called CHW to see if I could get Allred to complete job. I was told he (Allred) had declined the job. That wasn’t true because I had just spoken to him. He offered to replace two fans for the 85 I had already paid. I called CHW and cancelled service order. Mike was here yesterday and replaced two fans for the 85. He is a great person to treat customers the way he does. What I understand CHW did not treat him wright

I had my Central AC break down. They sent a tech and he told me I needed a compressor. Tech left and later that day Choice contacted me and said my repair was denied. They said that the fins on the coils were dirty causing the compressor to overheat and fail. The unit is outside. I clean the fins twice a year. Once before startup and once after the end of the season. I use a hose and a blower to clean the fins. Choice just wants an excuse to not have to pay for the repair. Horrible way to do business. I am very disappointed. What is the sense of having a home warranty if the company will not have your broken unit repaired. :(

Terrible experience so far. I filled a claim for my A/C unit on May 3, 2024. On May 11th Sears repair man came out and diagnosed the problem (evaporator coil leak). On May 13th my claim was approved by CHW noting the evaporator coil leak. I’ve reached out to Choice Home Warranty for an update several times since it’s been approved. Every response has from CHW has been the same, “ Our team is actively following up with Sears Home Services to expedite the process and get your A/C unit fixed as soon as possible.” Today, June 5, 2024, I contacted Sears. Per Sears CHW has not contacted them to authorize my repair. I’m tired of the run around game CHW plays. I have a screenshot with all CHW approving the claim and repair. Fix my A/C unit per my policy.

Choice Home Warranty has to do a better job at vetting the companies that contract with them. Many of them I've encountered were unprofessional, rude and lazy. I also don't like the fact that they have increased the cost so high but rhe quality of providers is mediocre.

Unless you live in a large city this is an absolute total waste of your money. They don’t tell you this when you sign up. They can’t seem to get technicians to do service work. I made a claim in February for my washing machine and dishwasher it is not 5/15 and they still haven’t done anything except tell me I can pay for it out of my pocket and they will reimburse me not 100% but to what their fee schedule states they will pay. They continue to take my monthly payment without hesitation though. When you call all tell you is that they will escalate my claim to dispatch to give them 24-48 hrs. I’ve been hearing that excuse since the 2nd week in February. They don’t offer refunds for lack of ability to do their job efficiently. It has cost me over 2k to do laundry at laundromat. With the amount of money I’ve pd them for my policy and it is pocket expenses already I could have purchased new appliances that are covered by them. They don’t replace items as they state they will. Their lack of professionalism is unbelievable. Worst decision I’ve made. Don’t fall for their empty promises and lies.

We had to pay over 3000 to another plumper for a new well pump since soon after your plumber left we had no water at all and we could not wait for several days for another choice warranty plumber. We had to wait for the initial visit. Choice said he was coming the next day but he came 2 days later and did not solve our problem

Everything takes way too long. I need my washer! Now to be told I get a wholesale replacement price is just wrong wrong wrong. If you could get me access to wholesale pricing it might work, but Lowe’s does not offer that to me, so it really is not an ethical equivalent. Now to slap me in the face I’m told it will take 30 days to get my e-gift card. Really? Two months from when this started? I can not discuss this with anyone because I am unable to understand what your telephone customer says.

Paid for two visits for the same problem and neither of the people you sent diagnosed the problem correctly as to the issue with my central air unit. The company who services my units twice a year was able to pinpoint the issue with the compressor. I had to pay for the part and labor. I paid CHW $150 for two visits and had the same problem each time after the techs left. I have no idea what I paid you people for with this mediocre service. I think I should be reimbursed at least for one call for the same issue and for what I had to pay to the company I use for spring and winter maintenance.

I usually don't interact with customer support directly, as I prefer to deal with the contractors. They've been very good in my experience. However, I'm currently facing issues with my oven and furnace. The contractor initially got the furnace working, but now it won’t stay lit, and I'm waiting for further assistance. Numerous phone calls were required before I was able to speak to someone. Person I spoke to was rude. He was very abrupt and transferred my call where it was terminated. Had to call back and was connected to an offshore agent who I a difficult time understanding. Person sent out to repair my appliance was incompetent. I had to call another appliance repairman to complete the job.

I had Choice Home Warranty for about three years. I made too claims, one was for a leaking washing machine, they sent out a technician he replaced a $15 dollar part, I paid the $85 dollars copay no problem. APR 28, 2024, I come home my water heater is leaking I make another clam next day a technician messages me and gives me a window of 11am til 3pm. He message my work number at 1.12pm saying he’s 30min out never shows, later another technician shows up look at water heater say it needs to be replaced needs to get with Choice Warranty. Choice warranty tell me my uncovered cost will be $592.00 on top of the $85copay for a total of $677.00 dollars.

Although CHW has the convience of a single contact to find service technicians, I am still unsure if there is an actual cost benefit for us. I paid for the extra roof coverage. When I had a leak they claimed it was an issue that was not covered by calling it more than it was. The time they came to fix the built-in microwave was good, but calling the company that came out directly to get a price for a service call for a microwave, I found out the service call would have been the same price. So no real benefit to a Choice warranty unless it is a large appliance that needs actual parts to be repaired, but then they would probably deny the claim.

We are very disappointed with the first claim, with our bathroom faucets repair. Sassaman Services was sent. Our faucets are worse than before they wererepaired. we They told me I had to call Delta for new faucets. Delta is sending replacement parts. Sassaman is supposed to return on April 22 to install. Sassaman Services has terrible reviews, and an "F" BBB rating. I'm afraid for them to do anymore repair work . If this is the quality of repair services we can expect from Choice Warranty. Want to cancel our warranty and get a refund from Choice Warranty. I have tried calling and a sending a message on their with no response. Sassasman Services have left our bathroom faucets worse than before the repairs. the first part of this message is not showing up on this message. We would appreciate a human calling us regarding this situation.

When you have a problem with a repair tech they send you, you expect that they will stand by you if service is not delivered. I tried calling over and over but you always end up in a recording to have you leave your number. I did leave my number several times but never got a call back. It is so frustrating not to be able to speak to a person when you're not getting the service you had purchased the Warranty for. For one service claim, I had 4 visits from the company that they had sent but, to no avail, they never fix the issue.

Your add and contract, stipulates, plumbing lines must be in good working order on the date that the contract was purchased, ours was and much later became clogged, your advisement and our contract further states, you will unclog the line , repair or replace. it. Our kitchen sink line(pipe) remains, clogged, will not drain!" Your ads and contracts DONOT says, Choice Home Warranty, will attempt top UNCLOG the lines, rather you say, WILL REPAIR or REPLACE??????? So far we have been without a well functioning fridge for over SIX WEEKS . The initial response was good , the wait time was tolerable until the appointment , but the length of time to wait for back ordered parts was not ! ( we even had a part for a convection oven delivered by mistake .) We have contacted the contractor several times by phone and e-mail waiting for instructions . Luckily , friends and neighbors have stepped to make this less of a disaster .

First two assigned techs were scheduled 6 and 8 days later instead of the 1-2 day turn around. Plus they were over 35 miles away from home instead of being closer. None of the first two techs returned my calls. Both were long distance calls. Customer service did not ask the make, model serial number of my GE dishwasher so the tech would know what he was dealing with. Luckily I contacted Nolan from Layer One Solutions explained the problem. Nolan was a first rate tech who explained the control panel problem.
