The first consultation is usually fast, but the follow up is like 2 weeks. Parts get replaced and same thing continues, but instead of replacing item, serviceman orders the same part so another two week wait. Item has not worked for over a month and a half and I guess CHW believes that is acceptable.

I was really disappointed with what happened with our garbage disposal. We ended up having to pay for it. No one from your company contacted us about that, but the plumber you sent said you told them we were contacted. They replaced the disposal, then discovered, allegedly because it was leaking, it was not covered. They came to us for the additional payment. I consider that very poor service on the part of Choice. We have a plumber coming out Monday because of our hot water heater. I'm really concerned we will be caught in another situation where you will not pay.

I was sold your policies without transparency. Meaning, there are so many things CHW does not cover: fireplaces, switches for jetted tubs, etc. Also, I was not told replacement appliances are completed with builder's grade. Nothing in my home is builder's grade, the lowest quality and functionality provided. My home has name brand items, whirlpool gold, maytag, bosch. I want the option to get refunded versus installing builder's grade. For example, my disposal was 3/4 HP. Your technician replaced it with a 1/3 HP. That is not satisfactory. I wanted the option for a refund so that I can purchase what I want. This is why I cannot recommend CHW to my family and friends.

The warranty is very limited and should be better explained up front- service has been very good but all the extra costs and expenses for the "non-covered" items are extensive and the contractors pad these costs to make the savings minimal even when items are being replaced.

Unprofessional service and helping to resolve water leak in the house. Paid from my pocket to fix water leak in the house which is under the warranty but unprofessional service staff to understand the problem. Even the service staff doesn't try to identify where the problem is. He just looked with bare eyes and find the problem with out technological devices. Completely unprofessional. I fixed the leak by my self and try to claim the support is telling I did without their expertise which I need to keep water leak in my house. The unprofessional service staff will come to fix it so the warranty can cover. It is worst experience for me. I will fill out complain in BBB.

For smaller items I would definitely recommend. I’ve used it several times. Once for the ice machine, it wasn’t producing ice and they came over and decided to order a new one. They are also fairly good for expensive things like the AC unit. You kind of have to dance around to get things replaced.

They have not resolved any issues and there have been major issues caused by a technician they sent. I requested a technician for my hot water heater and the person they sent out did not install it properly and it has caused three separate major leaks. They have not helped me resolve it. They will not let me speak with a manager. The person they sent for my garage door was awesome and they were quick to send him. He did a wonderful job.

It would be nice if they were a little more responsive. The quality is pretty good because the contactors have been good. I had to have three people look at my dryer before it was decided it had to be replaced. I am only getting two thirds of the cost so that is a little deceiving.

I have no follow up on my last claim. My air conditioner was leaking through my ceiling and it turned out to be a clogged overflow line which although Choice claims to support air conditioning systems and the overflow pipe is definitely part of the system they refused the claim saying they do not cover overflow pipe and overflow fans so I was not happy with that and that's the only time I've used it, so so far my experience has been unhappy.

I had a very disappointing experience, the agent tried to help me but she said wasn't able to do much. They didn't take care of my needs. I used it very recently, my dishwasher stop working so I paid sixty five dollars and a repairman came out to fix the thousand dollar dishwasher and he said it's probably a circuit break and it could be a circuit board, they couldn't be sure and he said that they're going to pay me to replace it rather than fix it so they came back and they offered me two hundred forty six dollars. I just bought a new one and it cost me twelve hundred dollars so you know the fact that they "replaced" the appliance is bullshit. The person I dealt with was good and customer service was good.

I had another home warranty for a long time but I saw a commercial and compared numbers and decided to make a change. I haven’t had any problems with them since I’ve started. Every time I contact them, they come out except when I called for the air conditioning. The serviceman that came our for that said the compressor went out because it was neglected and not service properly which was a lie. They would not replace it. I was disappointed with the way they handled that.

This has been the worst customer service I have ever received! My last claim was denied based on a lie by the service provider. I filed an appeal as I was directed to and no one ever called me to hear my side. So what was the purpose if you do not care what your customers think. We are the ones that are keeping your business going!! He lied and said we dismantled our pool pump so our claim was denied. He also reported that he was installing a 2 hp pump which our pump was only a 1hp pump, so I am sure he pocketed the remainder of that money. I didn't want him coming back to my house but we let him come to install the new pump motor and he was supposed to come back with the nut and bolt for the filter clamp but never came back so I am sure he pocketed that money also!. The first day he cam he was here for 5 min and asked for the service call fee and said he would be back and I called numerous times to try to get him to come back and all I ended up getting was a denied claim. You need to care about your customers as well as picking a reputable service provider!!

Too many times I've been deceived and assigned a company that did not have insurance pay insurance papers to enter my building. As many times as I said they must have these documents they still assign a company that does not have them. I tell them they have to be out of my building by 4 and they will assign somebody to come from 2 to 6 I get tired of telling you over and over what the requirements are to get into a high rise. Another time I was told I need a whole new air conditioner I called another company and it's all it was was a $150 thermostat instead of $8000 that the company you sent out wanted to replace an air conditioner that was not broken.

Although when they left the garage disposal was working, they said it was corroded and needed to be replaced. They even took pictures as prof. After a week I called and was told that the warranty co was NEVER made aware or shown pictures. They called the contractor that they sent out and they told the warranty co that as far as they were concerned, the job was closed. Because of that the warranty co will NOT replace it until it stops working, even though it is corroded. Breakdown of communication period.

You tend to repair vs replace the which leads to multiple calls about the same issue. And each time I report an issue I get charged the $45 service fee. My garage opener is a perfect example- it took 5 calls before I finally got a new one.

The electrician and the AC repairman srnt by Choice Home Warranty both said I needed a new breaker box. However, the powers that determine whether a job is authorized decided against it. The AC keeps leaking freon but CHW dsys they won't fix it. It seems to me the purpose if CHW is for people to buy the policy and keep the executives is big figure salaries. I am not getting my money's worth of service. But, then, bad on ne yo be so naive to think that an American business would be concerned about the welfare of its customers.
